We had a great experience with this company. We have twins and they both wanted to have a Frozen-themed birthday. In order to keep them both happy, we knew that we had to hire not just a princess, but her friendly side kick Olaf. I was thrilled to find this company, which offered a wide range of princesses, including Elsa, along with the snowman. I had no idea Olaf would be so tall! He took it all in stride and Elsa helped him get into my house for my kids' large birthday party. Admittedly, I had low expectations for the performance. But I have to say, Elsa was on point. Not only was she able to manage the many kids, but she kept the show going with interactive games and she had an incredible voice. Olaf was also really good with rolling with the punches. The kids were so excited to see him and he continued to stay in character even if the 5-year-olds were pushing to see him. I had several parents ask for a referral. It was a wonderful addition to our party theme and our kids are still talking about it. I was somewhat reluctant to have a character appearance, but I'm so happy that I did. I could tell our kids felt special in that moment and seeing them smile and jump in delight when they arrived was well worth the money spent. read more

Princess Parties of DC absolutely exceeded every expectation for my daughter's fourth birthday. We had "Moana" come to our house, and she completely made the party. From the moment she arrived, I barely had to do anything. She kept the kids entertained the entire hour and made it feel effortless. Moana (Lily!) was incredible. She played freeze tag with the kids, taught them a short hula dance, and led a parachute game that had everyone laughing and fully engaged. She even came prepared with a craft: the girls made princess crowns and the boys made superhero masks. Every child was included and having a blast. She took so many sweet photos with the kids and made each one feel special. I was so impressed with Lily's energy, professionalism, and warmth. Several parents came up to us afterward to say it was the best party they or their child had ever attended. Tinkerbell (Kayla!) and Peter Pan (Alex!) entertained almost 40 kids for an entire hour - crowning the birthday girl, songs, dancing, games, a craft, they covered everything and are truly pros. Also my daughter gets nervous in crowds, and Tinkerbell recognized that instantly and knew exactly what to do to make her feel comfortable and special. She really wanted Paw Patrol characters at her party, and I was searching everywhere to find the right ones from a company that was more than just a broker. Princess Parties was the most responsive and even suggested that we include Ryder as the party host in order to engage with the kids better than the "pups" can in their big costumes. Thank you to Jaclyn and the team at Princess Parties of DC for going above and beyond the call of duty for my daughter's first birthday. With COVID ... and two kid life ... I had completely dropped the ball on planning my daughter's first birthday so when I contacted Princess Parties of DC with a last minute request, I was surprised when they reached back out with availability! Jaclyn was so easy and flexible to work with and the fact that she is available to discuss details over text made my millennial heart soar. Our Princess, Rapunzel (Cadence) was amazing. When she noticed that my five year old was hanging by my arm while setting up the party, she took her by the hand, gave her lots of special 1:1 attention before all the guests arrived. What a life saver! For a full two hours she kept the pace of the party going with a coronation for the birthday girl (and her sister), glitter tattoos, picture ops, craft projects, a performance, princess dance lesson, and games. Our very large group of children, age 18 months to eight years old was absolutely enthralled the entire time ... both boys and girls! Rapunzel even addressed the children by their names throughout the day which I thought was a special added touch. Rapunzel was absolutely beautiful as well -- her costume was professional level and her wig was Disney World worthy. She never dropped character and was a nurturing, sweet, patient, and funny as we expected her to be. Since we had such a large group of children we also decided to get a face painter so Rapunzel could focus on the other guided activities. Our face painter America was fun to work with and an absolute artist.
