The deli is Apple Spice junction and was closed the day we were meeting the baker. I was here with my wife and daughter to chose her wedding cake. If it was not that our wedding coordinator recommended this baker I would never had picked it. After meeting the baker and trying the cake options I am very optimistic. The baker listened to my daughter for what she wanted and offered options that we did not even know where options. You access it through a secret entrance where you sit down in fancy chairs and then the wall opened and spins you around into a separate dining area and bar. So fun! The food & cocktails also live up to the hype which is a relief -- this isn't just a gimmicky experience. Everything we had was delish! We started with the Saigon Suzy dirty martini (vodka, cocchi, smoked shoyu, yuzu ponzu, devil horn pepper, and olives) and the Bump & Grind espresso martini (tequila, coffee liquor, chai demerara, and chocolate). Both packed a punch and were very tasty. For food, we shared the hamachi crudo, the char sui pork bowl, and the spicy tuna roll - smoked (yellowfin tuna, cucumber, avocado, rice cracker, and mango habanero). The char sui was huge had a very generous portion of pork belly. I'm super picky about pork belly and this was some of the best I've had -- so tender and buttery! This was going to be a night of drinking, desserts, and partying, Disney style…read more Unfortunately, I'm not into drinking or partying, but I AM into desserts, so I was really looking forward to at least that with my friends. First things first, all the tables are first come first serve. And at around $80 per person, I was expecting a better facility, better organization, and better food. So once we grabbed our table, we had to leave one of our friends there to reserve it since there were barely enough tables for everyone, and then switch off in order to get our food. Next they give you a flyer that shows what station has what dessert. The thing is there are only about a dozen stations and about 1,000 people, so the lines were super long! So let's say you wanted ice cream, you would have to wait at Booth 1 for ice cream which could be about 35 minutes, in which time your ice cream will be a puddle of milk. So then if you wanted doughnuts, that's another 35 minute wait in another line, and so on and so forth for about 20 different food items. ALL of your time is spent in line and not with your friends who you wanted to hang out with and chat and party with. The VIP area was a joke since they crowded us into this small area near the entrance of EPCOT, no chairs, just standing room only. The only thing I liked was the ice cream shaped hot dog and the cool 3D glasses (which all of us kept) that turned every firework into Micky Mouse shapes. I originally thought that it was a smaller party located down by the VIP viewing location by England but I was mistaken... it is located in the world showplace events pavilion which is huge! There must have been close to 200 people at the event. When you make the reservations, they offer you two prices... $55 for standard admission or $90 for the Sweet Seats option which is reserved seats, early entry, a special dessert and cocktail. We just did the basic admission and is was just great for us. We got there about 30 min before the event started and checked in and given a wrist band, a menu, and special viewing glasses for illuminations. Once the event opened, there was many different tables of food.... not just all dessert. There were tables dedicated to Desserts, meats, ice cream, donuts, pretzels, cheeses, and many different booze vendors. Whiskey, bourbon, vodka, wines, margaritas, etc. It was way more food than i imagined would be there. But then again, its basically a very large all you can eat/drink buffet. The lines for each table were never that long. There were many tables for standing and sitting at and never seemed to want to sit. We snagged a standing table and took turns going for food.
