Yesterday was an amazing experience with Party Goats LA! I was signed up for a Hiking with Goats event at La Tuna Canyon through Renaissance Club. Scout messaged us before the event with the link for the parking which was pretty easy to find. As I was driving on the freeway I could see the Purple Bus full of goats from the freeway! Entering the parking lot and seeing all the goats looking through the windows was so cute. Once everyone in our group arrived, we were each given a goat off the bus to walk over to a tree to create our herd and then we were able to let them go while we hiked. It was so cute hearing them baaaa, and to also see how they run to be in the front. Periodically they stop to eat some of their favorites such as the oak trees or the laurel. It's so funny because you could be walking and suddenly a goat cuts you off and stops in front of you. I thought it's the cutest thing. During the hike randomly one of the goats I think it was the one named Legolas? kept randomly coming up and putting his head in my hand during the walk. I loved it they are so smart and so gentle, so sweet and friendly and the sound of their hooves on the path is so relaxing. Scout mentioned that all her goats were bottle fed and raised by her and she was very knowledgeable giving us a little talk about the different types of goats and what is special about them. I had no idea that they have four stomachs until this hike! We also were all given some food to give to the goats which they all come running for, and they oh so gently take it from your hand. Best feeling ever. I only felt sad that the hike felt fast and before we knew it the hike was ending. It was a good hour and a half with the goats but it flew by. I would love to do this again and take a longer hike so I can spend more time with the goats. It was a wonderful experience. Our Girl Scout troop booked a Goat Yoga encounter and had a great time. The wranglers and yoga instructor - lovely. The goats were lead from girl to girl as they were in position. In our case, the goats were very interactive (if your group isn't comfortable with that just let them know). They brought three goats and a bonus sheep. They cleaned up after them (place looked better than when they came). We took pictures and videos and hung out. It was a chill time - not rushed. I booked Party Goats LA, goat yoga for my granddaughter's 13th birthday. It was a surprise for her and our family. Sadly, I was very DISAPPOINTED that the goats were practically full grown. It was difficult to relax and have fun as the goats were just too large for yoga poses and certainly not what is shown on the website. All I could think about was someone getting hurt. I was also promised the emotional support sheep but she didn't bring it. Although, I received a minimal discount, specifically for the sheep, I did not get what I paid for. While I respect the owner's philosophy about her animals, she failed to provide proper sized animals for this activity. Booking was super easy and they were even accommodating when we requested to extend the booking the day before (we realized an hour of goats just wasn't enough!). Pippin and Spanky were the heroes of our advertising agency's happy hour last week. They were totally in their element and they seem to totally love what they do. While we were initially worried that with more people, the more goats might become uncomfortable, the opposite was true. As more guests arrived and interacted, the more Pippin and Spanky worked the audience. Pippins especially seems to be a natural-born performer! Spanky and Pippin are the sweetest, lightest, most outgoing goats you can have on your back... they will do yoga with you or join in on fun party games. Scout, their mama, is the kindest most chill goat wrangler you will meet. However, theres absolutely no smell and handlers clean it up right away. Their poop is like pellets, no sloppy messes. Its obvious the handlers love and take good care of their animals. But even more obvious how much the animals love their handlers. Goats are cuddly and will do yoga with you! Snap a pic so you can brag on instagram. Price is very reasonable and better then any competitor I found. You'll make all your loser friends who didn't attend your party super jealous once they see the photos of goats on your snapchat stories and facebook photos. CONS: Goats were timid around my small dog. He didn't bark or act aggressively. But hey, even goats get tired. We had two six-month old goats named Doc and Gizmo show up at our birthday party, and it was perfect! During the hour long visit, we fed them food, pet them, held them, and let them climb around on top of our backyard furniture and EVEN US.
