This was such a fun activity! I've done goat yoga before, and this was one of the best. I booked a class thru the Los Angeles Arboretum, so it was outside in a beautiful setting with plenty of room. The handlers encourage the goats to interact with the yoga participants, and it is so funny! It's also a legit yoga class but you'll get more of an abdominal workout from laughing. I was supposed to go with a friend but she got sick. I was thinking of cancelling but so glad I didn't. It would be super fun with friends, but even alone I had a blast. I got tickets as Christmas/ birthday presents for my daughter and some friends and got talked into joining in as well. This didn't sound like a me kind of thing at all. But from the start everyone was so nice and the goats were so friendly. As soon as I put my mat down, Felix decided it was a good spot to relax. The yoga instructor was wonderful. Offered instructions for all levels and had a really friendly and fun demeanor. We all had a blast. The goats were all so adorable (and I'm not usually a fan of goats). Truly a once in a lifetime experience that I can now say I've tried, but probably will never attempt again. When Van D. asked if I was interested in attending goat yoga with her, I was intrigued. I've seen it on a Real Housewives' episode and thought it looked pretty interesting. I mean, getting to work out with some cute animals roaming around making the workout that much more interesting? It's a gimmick, but a very good one. Since the event is hosted by Hello Critter Goat Yoga, they rent various warehouses and spaces in different cities so that they can reach a wider variety of customers. This event happened to take place in the Highland Park/LA area - location took place in the Highland Park Warehouse, which only gave a general location on my map. There's no actual warehouse with that name, so we only happened upon the place when we saw the line of other attendees with yoga mats in hand. After checking in (somewhat slow process), we all gathered in the main room for people to start taking pictures. There wasn't enough time for all of us to get photos as yoga started fairly soon. We were ushered into an outdoor covered area. The space was quite small and we were super cramped. Pretty much mat to mat touching. I think this was the first time they used this particular location, so they weren't sure how many mats the space could handle. I like to exercise, but yoga is not one of my preferred ways of working out. I appreciated that this goat yoga event was more for beginners as the instructor went over fairly simple poses. And while we were in various poses, the goats would roam around, climb on top of people's backs, crawl under them, etc. It was really a free space for them to explore, while some of the workers led them around and fed them snacks - that way everybody got to experience the goats. And when goats did drop "blessings", the workers were quick to clean it up. And afterward, we were able to take photos with the goats, which is - pretty much - the main reason why we attended the event. The workout was just a plus. At 2 tickets for $50, the price tag wasn't too bad. Overall, the event was a cute way to not only destress, but spend some time with these super gentle and mischievous animals. Glad I can say that I've experienced it, but not sure if I'd be open to doing it again in the future ... maybe if it was with puppies... read more

The concept of Goat Yoga first caught my radar in OC, but the date for the event conflicted with my family plans so I did research into more Goat Yoga events in the Southern California area. I found Hello Critter Goat Yoga through EventBrite. Tickets were $30 for 1 ticket or $50 for 2 tickets, plus tax or whatever service charges. I just bought 2 tickets since I was confident that I would have a friend who would also be interested in the event. I managed to convince one of my close college friends and fellow Yelp elite, Tiffany C. to come with me! Yay!! On the day of the event, we struggled to find the location of the venue. Hello Critter Goat Yoga is a pop-up business, so I feel like they can do a better job, even through cheap signs, to help their patrons find the event location. We were running early and still struggled to find what was labelled as "Highland Park Warehouse" when it was at a dance studio. We only found it because we saw a line of ladies with yoga mats. Speaking of this line... It was a short line that took forever. Why did this line take forever? Well... I would call it SEVERE INEFFICIENCY!! They had a long waiver they wanted people to sign. It would be quicker and less work for them if they had sent the attendees this ahead of time. The responsible people would have it ready to turn in, and they could just have a few waivers on location for the ones who don't. In addition, they made us put on these name tags. For what purpose!?!?!?! We were all in work out clothes and some of the girls sweat it off. The sticky name tags stuck to their mats. What a fail... Not to mention, they didn't ever ever ever call us by the name tag name... so WHY did they need to waste their money and more importantly, my time, with these name tags?? The yoga mat rental has a cost, so I recommend buying a cheapie yoga mat as I did at a Ross or Marshalls. The cost of my decent mat was the same price as their rentals. There is no way I would risk my $100+ yoga mat with Goat "blessings." As we got into the location, the chaos continued... We came early to take pictures with the cute little Nigerian Dwarf goats prior to getting gross and sweaty but they were just letting people come up randomly. There was no line and people just went up. Tiffany C. and I were both unable to take pictures beforehand. We were led to a backroom for the workout and it was such a tight space. 3 rows of yoga mats and all of the mats were basically touching. I am pretty short and I was still concerned that I would kick someone if I extended my leg in some positions. It was terrible!! The quality of the yoga class is quite subpar. I go to yoga 4-5 a week and I've been to dozens of yoga studios throughout California and even Nevada, so I'm not that picky but this experience is more for the goat pictures than for the yoga. Not a criticism, just an assessment. Come for the experience, don't expect too much of a work out. Throughout the class, the goats had a good time climbing on everyone. The poses are catered to their climbing habits. Even shavasana was in a laying on your stomach pose so they can step on your backs. After class, those of us who were unable to take pictures during the beginning were given another opportunity to take pictures. Luckily for Hello Critter, my pictures turned out well. I was really ready to give them 3 stars for the poor directions, terrible sign-in, locational constraints... but if I'm being honest, what I truly wanted out of this experience were cute pictures and I got my cute pictures. I love goats. People do not realize how intelligent, social, clean, and sweet goats are. Being around them gives me great joy and tranquility. Goats always make me smile. Friends and family make fun of me for my love of goats, but they don't know what they are missing. This amusing and chaotically active yoga class was a blast. It was held at an aerial yoga studio in west Hollywood. The teacher was a lovely Scottish lady who did an active Vinyasa flow class. The owner of the goats, Michelle, traveled the room throughout the duration of the class with a container of goat feed. Her two goats traipsed about the room, following their owner. During the entire yoga class, these two goats jumped on people's backs while we were in cobra and cat cow position, ran through our legs while we were holding warrior poses, ran underneath me while I was on my hands and knees, and generally created goat happiness and excitement. It was endearing. It was entertaining. It was calming and funny and active and energetic. The yoga class itself was quite the work out! I felt good afterwards and cracked a little bit of a sweat. I highly recommend that in this fast-paced world we live in where we are so disconnected from nature, that you take it upon yourself to interact with goats in any way you can. It will make you feel happier, more grounded, and more human. Thank you to Michelle, the studio, and the yoga teacher. It was a terrific experience and I will reach out to Hello Critter again. oh, where do i began.... TL;DR; short-haired trainer lady with the orange beanie is highkey racist and extremely rude and speaks very passive aggressive. ---- i was super excited to experience goat yoga and have been wanting to do this for awhile. it's located inside the arboretum which was pretty cool because your ticket acts as a arboretum ticket too so you can explore around afterwards (parking included). i got there a little earlier than my friend so i set some space next to me for her. i laid my mat there as i waited, still super pumped about having goats crawl all over you. this short haired lady in an orange beanie came and literally yanked my mat and was going to move me over to make room, but then someone beside me said she'll scoot over so she put my mat back. i didn't let it bother me yet about the fact that she so rudely yanked my mat away without even asking me to kindly scoot over, because i was still high in spirits. then, she came over again and did it again. this time, i said i'm waiting for my friend so she dropped it like a hot potato. during the session, it was pretty interesting. i've do yoga pretty frequently, so it's safe to say that this "yoga" was definitely not yoga. but that's pretty much what i expected. it was hard to focus on what you're doing or what the instructor was saying, because your attention was on the goats roaming around. the last few minutes of session, they give you time for photos with the goats. people made one long line and they set up a photoshoot station at the front where you can take photos with the goats. there were a couple other people on the side playing around and taking their own photos with the other goats, so my friend and i followed suit and took our time. we took turns taking our photos with one of the goats on the side. when it was my friends turn, i was trying to get that same goat's attention so it can crawl on her. guess i got too close to the main photoshoot area and the same rude lady scolded me that that goat belongs at that area with the main photoshoot line. so my friend and i decided to clean up and stand in line as well to get one final photo. we were last in line. by the time it was our time, we were the last ones to go and there were another class getting in. we already had a photo in mind so we got into formation and i handed the phone to the girl taking our photo. 2 minutes in, we were a little struggling with the pose and not to mention i freaked a bit because the goat was pooping, as i let out a little yelp. by the time we were about to turn our faces over to the camera so we can get a front facing photo, the rude lady with the orange beanie said in a really passive aggressive tone "i think you guys got enough photos." we both just stood there in shock like did she just say that?! the lady prob saw that we hesitated because she defended herself and continued to say she saw us taking photos on the side and she thought we had enough photos.. first of all, we paid just as much as everyone else to deserve the same amount of time as them in line. who cares if we want one last photo?! next class hasnt started yet, people were still trickling in. it's mostly the way she said it. i hate to bring up race, which i usually don't. but this was pretty hard to ignore.. we were the only asians there. in hindsight looking at all the events put together, she was being pretty targeted and racist. there, i said it. let's just say, i probably wouldn't do this again. it's more of a been there, done that type of experience. but if i were, i would 100% choose a different company nor would i recommend this company to a friend. read more

What a magical time. By far, this is the best thing I've done in a long time Nature, goats, hiking, yoga, meditation. In an otherworldly location (Cheeseboro Trail in Agoura Hills). Michelle, owner of Hello Critter, is an absolute sweetheart. Yoga Instructor Beverly was wonderful. I am not a yoga person, yet Beverly helped guide me with gentle poses and supportive instruction. My body, tense and tired from the pandemic, emerged more relaxed and comfortable. Beverly also guided us through a beautiful meditation near the end of our hike. The location took my breath away with its rolling hills, stark, dramatic trees, and permeating light. I felt like I was in a completely different world. The goats made me smile and giggle. Having two stand on my back was incredibly fun. I also found out quickly that dwarf goats are heavier than they appear! So glad I did this and can't wait for more. Highly recommend this activity. You won't regret it! It's the best. Moreover, COVID-19 safety protocol is maintained throughout, so you can participate with peace of mind. read more

This was an event! It was fun from beginning too....... I am not sure as it's still fun whenever I think about it! The goats are adorable and really did massage my back. The whole event was welcoming with lots of laughter. Michelle introduced the goats and the yoga instructor was a very good instructor who also explained throughout just what to expect from the adorable critters. I took the group yoga class at the Art Studio in Larchmont with 5 of my friends. We all had a lovely time! We arrived 5 minutes early to check in. The paperwork was a bit time consuming, and the check-in process was a bit unorganized. However, the staff members were all very sweet and helpful. Standing from the outside, I could see the baby goat looking out at all of us through glass doors. My brother-in-law (who lives walking distance from the studio) came by with our two little dogs, who also saw the baby goat through the door. It was just so incredibly cute. Once inside the studio, we were instructed to remove our shoes and place our yoga mats very close to one another as the goats like to jump from one person to the next. To be honest, it's hard to remember the actual yoga class because we were so focused on the goats! They had one baby goat and two bigger goats -- be warned, you should not attend this class if you have bruises or tender areas on your body (or if you have a bad back). The goats will climb and jump all over you, and that's part of the fun!! When the bigger goats jump on you, it can be quite uncomfortable/even painful. Still, the experience was just so lovely. My husband was pooped on twice, but that didn't stop us from laughing and smiling the whole way through! Just a few tips: 1. Wear clothes that you can wash. 2. Bring an ugly, old yoga mat, or one that is easy to clean! 3. Take an ibuprofen before class. :) 4. Have fun and take lots of pictures! At the end of the yoga class, the staff helped every single student get a picture with the goats in various cute poses. I really appreciate their time, patience, and positive attitude. I honestly could not stop smiling during the entire time I was in this yoga class, or for the rest of the day. I took the goat yoga class at the Art Works location in Larchmont. It was soooo much fun!!! Word of warning, bring your own yoga mat b/c this is a popular event, and they ran out of mats (and tickets) very early. Also, this is a very cute location with artsy walls and great backgrounds so I recommend going here for the pics. Try to get there early to take pics with the goats + get to know them. Also, bring a credit card and try to buy a t-shirt before class if you feel like it. I bonded with a goat named Franny and she definitely came back to me several times in the yoga class--so I got of a ton of pics with her on my back. My yoga instructor was a blonde woman with a super chill vibe who wished all the Scorpios in the room a happy scorpio-season bday (which I loved!) and she said she was a Scorpio herself. (So am I:) I really wish I had gotten her name or card, b/c I would love to take more yoga classes from her. I got so many cute photos and had so much fun! My friends who couldn't make it definitely know they missed out and want to go with me next time. Other things to know---goats are animals! (duh?!) They poop in class (sometimes ON you) and you need to be chill with that. It's honestly not a big deal. The poops are tiny, un-smelly and compact. (They're also called "blessings" by the instructor.) The goat-lady cleaned them up immediately, and it was no big deal. Also, they DO tell you to wear a shirt that covers your back, b/c while the goats wear booties, they do have hoofs that can scrape you if you're wearing a flimsy tank. A girl in our class didn't take that advice--which was very clear from Hello Critter Goat Yoga when you sign up--and she did have a tiny scrape on her back. Also, there were some young children in my class--and while they had a great time--they were pretty squirmy about the goats jumping on them, and squeamish about the goat poop. I'm sort of thinking Hello Critter may want to impose an age requirement minimum of perhaps at least 10 years old in the future. I wasn't bothered by the kids in the class, but they do take a bit of attention away from the whole goat experience. If you arrive late you can still take photos with the goats after the class is over but there's more of a wait, and it's more chaotic. If you're only taking yoga for the goats--don't worry:) I'm not a regular yoga person and the instructor doesn't mind if you just sit there and takes pics and videos. read more

Yoga with goats? You've goat to be kidding me! That's exactly what I thought when I found out about this combination of fitness and furry creature. And because I'm into those two things, I decided that I had to try this. Tickets can be found on Eventbrite for $26 and classes are usually sold out a week or so before the class date. The yoga sessions are held at different locations, but the one I went to was at Art Works Studio. The instructors and staff were all really friendly and enthusiastic. Goats climbing onto your back during certain poses may seem strange at first, but it does become something oddly enjoyable right away. Because instructors directed the three goats with treats, virtually everyone got a chance to interact with them. Compared to a typical yoga class, this one was more laughs and smiles. Feel free to take out your phone to record video or take pictures during the session. After class, there was further opportunity to take pictures with them posing around you or on your back. A lot of people wonder about the poop and yes, a goat did poop in the class I went to. It wasn't a big deal as the poop rolled right off the mat and was quickly cleaned up while the class had a good laugh. read more

My husband and I had the best time! It was the first time practicing this type of yoga and it's safe to say we will be doing this again! When we arrived, it was at her house/barn in a residential area in Glendale. It was decked out in goat decor, super cute! She laid out some snacks and drinks. Once you get to the back, you will find goats roaming around and everyone finding their spots to lay their yoga mats. Once your session starts, they only have two goats to roam free. You do an hour of yoga and when you're all done you get to take pictures! It was a lovely experience and definitely was crossed off my bucket list! I give Hello Critter 6 stars! What a unique experience this is for both Angelenos and visitors to our city. I have been to several events with Michelle and her staff and am amazed at how they create such a fun time for people who have never been in contact with a goat before. Don't worry if you are a beginner -the yoga sessions are designed so that everyone can do the class. It helps that the goats are masters of their craft. They make sure you strike your best "tabletop" pose while standing on your back (Felix is the expert) or walking underneath, while entertaining you the whole time. Take a selfie with a goat and try to hold your position with only one hand, it's not so easy. One caution - watch out for their "blessings" as you could be the lucky one! I then tried something different and joined a canyon walk. I wasn't quite sure how one "hikes" with goats, but I soon found out. It's like having a super agile very friendly dog guiding the way that everyone wants a photo with (how often do you run into goats on your hike?). The delight it brought to children and their parents made my day. I am looking forward to going again! read more

What a wonderful and worth it experience. 25 dollars or 50 for two people as long as you book it within a couple weeks of the day. Its a pop up and contrary to what some of these reviews say, as long as you put the exact address into your phone, you will be taken to the correct place and it will be easy to find. Yes check-in isn't the most professional thing of all time but your not there for that 5 star experience your there for a 5 star experience with GOATS AND YOGA! Mats are provided for a couple of dollars but bring your own if you want. Also bring a non stick one or one you're not too fond of as the goats love to nibble on the mats (the instructors ofc try to make sure they don't for the Goats health). The Goats are treated very humanely ,are not overweight and love being the center of attention. The instructors are amazing and true friends to the animals. The main yoga teacher is wonderful and flows through the fun yoga session without being distracted or forcing everyone to listen and not laugh at the various wonderful Goat interactions. I was searching for a food event on Eventbrite when I came across the goat yoga class. A few different locations popped and I chose the one that was next. It was held at the Art Works studio on Larchmont. The 9-11am class was sold out to I got the 11-1pm class on a Sunday which is great for finding parking. They said to arrive 15 minutes prior to check-in and they offered mats to rent for $2 if you didn't want to bring your own. Everyone was super nice and friendly. Michelle, all her goats, and her mom Donna (who does the check-in), are super sweet, and kind. The class is fun and light-hearted and they encourage you to take pictures while you are doing the class. The instructor we had was very relaxed and the class was just go with the flow. Goats will jump on your back, weave in between your legs and come up to you. Michelle is really good about having everyone getting a chance to interact with them while in yoga pose. They might poop or pee around the classroom but it only happened once and it was cleaned up right away. The poop just rolls off the mat. There were three goats in the class and they were adorable and so gentle to everyone. After class you have an opportunity to take your picture with them as they pose around or on top of you. I found our they offer other classes with the goats, as well as they do parties and even team building events. They have t-shirts for sale as well. Amazing experience doesn't even begin to describe the adventure we went on with Hello Critter! From the moment of booking to the day of the event, Michelle was very responsive and helpful throughout the process. She is professional and you can tell that she truly loves what she does. We got to spend the morning with Felix and Gigi, two of the sweetest and friendliest goats I've ever met. They were ready to play and happy to be out with us that day. We opted for a 50/50 experience, spending the first half of our session doing yoga with the goats and the second half exploring nature with them. We were able to take an unlimited amount of photos and videos with the goats and Michelle was more than happy to take and share photos and videos of her own. I expected it to be a fun-filled day, but it exceeded my expectations in all the best ways. Just went to one of these classes and it was a blast! First off, you don't really need to know how to do yoga. It's a basic class and the instructor will teach you everything you need to know. Second, you'll probably forget that you're there to do yoga as the goats run around and jump on you. Are the goats heavy? No. Does it hurt when they stand on you? Not if you wear a shirt that covers your back like they suggest when you sign up. What do you need to bring? A yoga mat, towel, and water. How long is the class? About an hour of basic yoga poses: child's pose, tree pose, downward dog, warrior, and another half hour of playing with and taking photos of the goats. Can you bring your phone? Yes. You should. You can take photos of the goats throughout the class. Do the goats poop? Yes they do. And there's someone who rushes over and cleans it up-- it's not as gross as it sounds. Do the goats bite? No, but they may take a nibble out of your yoga mat if you aren't paying attention. Are the goats well cared for? I'm no goat expert but the woman who runs this seems to love her goats a lot and the goats seemed really happy to be there hanging out with everyone. Do the goats do yoga? No, but they will help you get a deeper stretch when they stand on your back. Is it worth the money? I certainly thought so. It's a one-of-a-kind experience and a lot of fun. Most people would enjoy it. My only caution would be if you have a back issue that prevents you from doing a basic yoga class, this is probably not a good idea. The goats, which weigh about 40 lbs., do jump on your back and stand on you which could potentially be problematic if you're already having some pain from simply being in the poses. read more

Everything about it was wonderful!!!!!! Having the goats around gives the environment a whole new level of relaxation. Everyone is constantly smiling and laughing! One would think that would take away the exercise part of it all, but it didn't. Having that little bit of extra weight and having a buddy on your back while transitioning through moves gave my abs a little bit more of a workout. It was great fun! Not serious yoga--but a wonderful enjoyable experience! The goats were tame and fun as they walked through the group and hopped on backs and walked under people doing bridge. Even thought it wasn't serious yoga the instructor was quite good. One note, be aware that nature calls goats (even when in a yoga class) and they do leave "blessings" all around--which are promptly swept up. They had a shepherd (or goat wrangler) and numerous helpers. A great deal of laughter and you do not need to be experienced in yoga to have fun at this class. read more

Had such a FUN time at the Hello Critter Goat Yoga in Highland Park! Everyone was so nice and seemed to genuinely care about their patron's experience. The goats were too cute, and the yoga itself was quite easy (really it's all about getting those cute little critters to jump on your back!)
