Recently I went to party nails and Victoria did my service. I got the upgraded deluxe pedicure. For the price of this service, it included so many features. A scrub, a massage, a wax dip, gel color, a beverage, hot towels, plus the regular treatment. This was one of the better pedicures I have had in recent years. Not to be gross, but I get ingrown toenail on my big toe. Most places I go to don't even ask about it, or do anything with it. Here she not only asked me she made sure to do good mail maintenance. Most places just massage, and file and paint your nails. She did a great job on my toes. I also got a gel manicure and it lasted without flaw for 3 weeks. It almost lasted 4, but my nails had just grown out too much so I took it off. I will certainly be back and ask for Victoria. read more

I started coming here about a year and a half ago. Lucy and her nail techs always do beautiful work, can get me in every time I call last minute, and are super friendly and sweet. The nail techs are always open to designs, glitter, whatever your heart desires. The salon itself is very clean and has a welcoming atmosphere. So happy that I started coming here!! read more

Really enjoyed this nail salon! I've never been here before, and I desperately needed a pedicure, so I decided to give them a call. I asked if they took walk ins or if they were by appointment only, and they asked if I could come in this morning. I said sure since I lived near by. I arrived and they sat me down right away and started. I got a deluxe paraffin wax gel pedi, and it was well worth the money. Victoria took her time and didn't make me feel rushed to get in and out. The hot stone massage was such a bonus! I'm not sure why there are negative reviews for Party Nails, I had a superb experience. 10/10 would recommend! Especially Victoria. read more

Just back again to write a reminder of the time these horrible people LOCKED ME inside of their salon all because the man did horrible work on my nails and forced me to pay more money to fix his crappy work. Disappointed to see that they are still in business. Such a shame. read more

Super nice and attentive to detail! I've been coming here since last year and they have been nothing but inviting. They always do good work and make your experience memorable. Update 12/2: They've done it again!! I'm ready for Christmas!! Thanks again Always in love with my hands when Adam or Ava do them! Update 2/8/19: Gosh they never disappoint. Went in to have my gel polish changed and this time I had Emily, she started removing my polish and then she started filing my nails down, down to nothing, she said she had to because they were uneven, I have rounded nails, well she sorry "I fix them " there's no fixing because there's no nails to fix on my right hand, so she charged me $10.00, when I looked after I left I noticed that she over charged me, so not only did I leave with my left hand nails longer than my right hand she also over charged me, I called and they refused to give me my money back. Never will I go there again, and I wouldn't suggest Party Nails to anyone, they are lousy. read more

What a great experience! I just moved to northwest and after getting my nails done almost exclusively at Diva Nails in central Reno, I needed to find a place a bit more local to my new digs. I started with Party Nails because it was close and had better reviews compared to the other nail places in the area. I called before heading in to make sure they could take me for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. They were able to accommodate me right away which was awesome. When I arrived I was seated in the spa chair immediately and had plenty of time to pick my nail color without pressure. My nail technician was Adam and the pedicure was lovely. He took his time cleaning up my cuticles, scrubbing my feet and legs (with the most delicious smelling orange scrub), and then massaging my feet calves. It was heaven. The polish came out beautiful too, which is saying a lot because I picked a dark color and have super short toenails. My gel manicure was just as great. Adam took his time and flawlessly painted my nails, but also did it with efficiency. I was impressed. The hand and arm massage was just as lovely as the foot and leg massage from my pedicure. I'll definitely be back. This place was clean and the staff was so sweet. Not sure if they offer this (because I wasn't offered it) but a glass of wine or mimosa would be nice but isn't necessary. read more

I went to a nail salon and they messed up my nails so bad that I ended up coming here to ask if they can fix them. The guy started as soon as he can and made them look so good for only $60 when the other place charged $150 If you are looking for place to do designs go here or just simple nails and pedicure. I had a really amazing experience yesterday morning that I have to share when I went it last second to get my nails done and a pedicure for a trip we are going on on Monday! I went right at 9:30 am they got me the chair instantly for my pedi! I was paired with Ming as my tech! She was absolutely the sweetest human ever. She's been doing nails for 20 years!! I've never been to a walk in nail salon and have someone take their time and make sure the shape and everything was perfect! I am also really indecisive when it comes to colors but she was patient with me and couldn't have been nicer and gave me options! She never one made me feel like I was taking to long! Also I am so used to getting run of the mill pedicures and paying 60 dollars for them and I kept saying I wish I could find someone who really did a good job! Ming was fantastic.. best pedicure I've had in a long time.I know this place has changed owners a couple times, but the new owners seem to have changed things around. Not to mention how clean the inside is and is so cute! I will definitely be back! I highly recommend Ming for your nails!! read more

I am updating my previous review When I first had my nails done at Party Nails (beginning of 2017) I was very pleased with my service. It is a nice big salon and is very clean. I loved my nails and decided that I would always come here. The prices advertised a gel fill from 35-45 which is a average price for most salons. After a couple months I decide to give my nails a rest and removed them. This year I decided to have my nails back on and went straight to Party Nails. I got right in without a wait. My nails were very short and the girl did not offer to put any acrylics to make them longer she just said my nails will grow fast with the gel on and by the time of my next fill in 3 weeks they will be longer. She was done in 35 min which was pretty fast. I had one color on. She asked Adam (the owner) what to charge me and he said 55.00. I thought this was a bit high but since it was getting them back on I paid it, tipped the girl and left. I went back 3 weeks later for my fill and once again I had a simple color choice using only 2 colors and he told the girl to charge me 55.00. I have met a few women who go here( I work in the public) and they all get charged a different price for the same service. I think he just makes up what he feels like charging depending on the client Its a shame customers are treated so different because I did like the way my nails looked, the salon is close to my work and I never needed an apt and got right in. read more

This is still my favorite nail salon. Leslie gave me an awesome pedicure this morning. You can choose from the Standard Pedicure or the Deluxe. They have a printed card with the explanation of the difference. They have a large variety of polishes to choose from. Regular and Gel. I personally love the Gel because it lasts so much longer. I was able to walk in and immediately sit down. I asked for a French ombré because I saw it in the yelp photos and they lady said she doesn't do that anymore.... so I picked a nice nude and everything went great. Why am I giving this business a one star rating? Well, my friend and I both had gone in today as first time costumers. Our wait time exceeded our appointment time, but that was the least of our problems. Both nail technicians did a 2/10 job, the nails are cricked, chunky, rushed, and not shaped well. The prices do not match online, and it is ridiculously over priced. My friend had gone in for a fill, and was charged an extra 15 dollars just for simple, tiny little dot flowers, which the technicians had told her they couldn't do. They looked at her like she was crazy for wanting that design. Meanwhile, not only were my nails rushed, they are not shaped well at all, and they were extremely clumpy. (Seen in picture). My friend and I are very disappointed in today's service and do not desire returning again. read more

I love this place. You can almost always get an appointment for multiple people on the same day as you were requesting. The staff is very kind and does a great job on pedicures. We've also had my daughters nails done there as well, which were equally as quality. They do a great job. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would! Don't ever go there, they do not do your nails how YOU want them just how THEY think would look better on you! The dude cut the sides of my tips with nail clippers because that s the look, he said, coffin style is very popular, he said ! Well I wanted square tips and I told him that! I got my nails done Friday and he made me pay full price when he cut me 4 times on one hand and two on the other. I got hard gel and while the actual nails look decent, cutting me that many times is unacceptable. I went once a few years ago for just a regular gel mani and it started peeling off the same day. I got a hard gel fill there two weeks ago and the lady who did my nails cut me then, but I was hopeful this second time that it wouldn't happen. Visiting from out of town and was hoping for a relaxing and easy experience to get my nails done. Came in for a regular manicure, which they had me write down when I checked in. Place has a potent acetone smell, but I'm determined to have a nice time, so I sit down. Here was my experience: The nail technician was very rough, and I noticed a new (but no bleeding) cut near my cuticle after she cut and prepped my nails. No problem, since there wasn't any blood, but she was a bit defensive that she didn't do it. Ok, weird, but I'm not going to argue. So we continue. Quality was so-so and my cuticles don't look great. She filed my nails again after the polish was on so the ends are rough now. When I went to pay, they charged me $30 because the nail polish used was a gel nail polish (which I didn't know, ask for, or want). Confused, I reminded them that I came in for a regular manicure (which is recorded on the sheet I filled out when I checked in). They were not helpful and told me either I pay the $30 or else they will take the polish of my nails and do it again with regular polish. Not wanting to spend another hour there (yes, a manicure took an hour), I paid and left. Actually my friend paid because they don't accept AmEx. So that's that. Won't go back. read more

Literally Waited an hour for my appointment before I decided to just leave because I had a date an hour after the appointment I figured they would be done by then they hadn't even started and when I got up to leave the lady said " excuse me! where are you going?" As if I didn't have the right to leave anymore. I am frustrated and now going on my date with gross nails. 0/10 read more

I saw a video that is currently going viral.. that shows the owner yelling at a customer because she wrote a bad reviews he even tried to kick her out and she was a paying customer.. she wouldn't leave because she likes the nail tech and she was willing to pay for her nails!! I usually love going here for a quick pedicure and that's all. I've gotten my nails done here a few times now and it just gets worse everytime. The girl cut my finger while "removing" my acrylic nails aka ripping them off and ruining my actual nails and it was bleeding. She continued to pull out the drill and start drilling off my acrylic nail while my finger is STILL bleeding. She did not switch or clean the drill afterwards and moved on to give someone a pedicure without saying a word or putting any cuticle oil on. It was the worst experience i've ever had at a nail salon. My nail beds hurt and it was the roughest acrylic nail removal probably ever possible. She did apologize when she noticed she was hurting me but continued to do it. Not returning and wouldn't recommend going to a place where they handle blood the way it was in my case. Absolutely gross/unprofessional. read more

Now while I was a fan of party nails for quite some time, I have to admit the way the owner treats people is disgusting. I haven't been back in a year or two due to the way he talks to his customers. I cannot find it in myself to support a man who degrades and insults paying customers. Sitting in his chair for quite some time I also heard the way he spoke about certain people. I have been seeing someone else and to be honest, the work that comes from him is sub par at best. PLEASE take the time to go through these reviews and know that the poor girls on here and not over exaggerating in any way. You will also see how the owner replies to these reviews himself. There are much better salons with MUCH BETTER people that deserve your time and money! I attached a reply of his for reference. read more

I recently relocated to the northwest Reno area from Truckee, CA and was on the hunt for a local nail shop. I came across Party Nails on Yelp, due to how close it was to my house. I noticed that they offered ombré Painted nails which definitely caught my attention. Today I took my niece and we both had an amazing experience. My niece received a full set (coffin shaped and ombré painted) and regular pedicure. I received a gel(shellac) manicure and regular pedicure. We were impressed on how much time they spent on our pedicures, the education of nail products they informed us on, and the friendly customer service they provided. I never been here but after seeing this I'm aware now. I've seen places being disrespectful to customers but here in Reno? Ouch. This is childish for the owner to be arguing with a women for her opinion. Calling her a bitch and telling her to put makeup on? I hope this place gets shut down for good! I had been going to party nails for a while now but this last time they really did a horrific job with my nails. To start off they charged me 40 dollars FOR A FILL, and the fill by no means was adequate. The woman put a thin layer of acrylic over my nails so they were weak and not sturdy. In the past two weeks since I got them done two nails have broken off which is unacceptable. I will not be going back to this over priced and poor quality place. read more

This most recent time, I received 50 units of an alternative botulinum toxin for $500. I had previously experienced ptosis with Brenda and had specifically expressed that I was hesitant about receiving too much toxin at one time. Despite this, she proceeded with the 50 units. She declined to add even a small amount to balance the area and indicatedthat I would need to pay again. COVID HOT SPOT!! I I decided to treat myself to a mani pedi last Friday. I've heard that nail salons are doing so much to keep us safe during covid. Well not PARTY NAILS! They should be reported! First the owner tells me it's only going to be a few minutes. After 30 minutes I asked how much longer? She tells me at least another hour!! Seriously! I told her why did you say only a few minutes? So I said forget it! I just wasted 30 minutes for what? While I was sitting there I had already decided to NOT have a pedicure since there was no barrier between them and myself and they were sitting costumers side by side while working on them and had even told two other people to sit 2 inches away from me in the waiting area! I was shocked because I had just left my hair salon where they have removed all seats to prevent people sitting next to one another. Not PARTY NAILS! Then I noticed the manicurist had her mask hanging off her ear and not covering her face at all while doing a girl's fingernails! Basically they have zero respect for trying to stop the spread of covid and had zero protection for their customers. With so many spas doing so much to be able to stay open and take every precaution to prevent the spread of covid why is this place allowed to carry on this way? Never going back, horrible experience. First they didn't paint my entire nail so I asked them nicely to paint more. It looked like I was ready for a fill and not that they had JUST been done. Then they start to tell me that I am wrong and I asked for the wrong thing, that my terminology was wrong. How am I wrong for wanting my entire nails painted? Another guy redid them and they turned out like these pictures. Horrible! Blows my mind that you would want a client leaving like this. I just moved here and miss my girl at where I use to go. I do my own gel nails at home but I am going on a vacation and wanted them to look extra nice. I do a better job myself at home! Going to have to go somewhere else to start over. Waste of time, and a major waste of money! There were people waiting and people had appointments so they were just rushing. Makes sense why they have a big "no refunds" sign because I'm sure they have a lot of unhappy customers wanting their hard earned money back. read more

I have been to many nail places in Reno and all over the country and I was really happy I tried party nails because it exceeded my expectations. First off, it is clean and spacious. It is a pleasant place to be while getting your nails done. The owner, Tammy I believe her name is, goes out of her way to be nice and caring while you are there even if you are not her client. The other man working was super attentive and kind. They actually care about doing a good job, they pay attention to detail, don't rush and don't make you feel bad if you ask them to perfect or adjust anything, which is not usually the case in my experience. They have a wide selection of colors and materials and are skilled technicians. This is my new spot for sure and I recommend them to everyone. I know they changed owners so disregard any review that says the owner is mean because it is a new woman and she is a total sweetheart! read more

If there was no stars as selection i would do it. I came in there with all smiles new to nevada. excited to get nails done. I am new to it because I never do manicure and pedicure. I asked how much and they stated price. I asked again and got an impatient response and a grunt from another person there. And what turned me off was an asian guy was short with me and I said I was from cali and im new here. and he said " well if you want to go back and drive hours there then go ahead!" all i said was wow kind of pricey. and I even said "but im sure you guys do a good job." they were going to make bucks with me and my mom! but i walked out because i felt they were rude and unwelcoming. After a long morning with the kids I decided to get my wife out of the house for some shopping. What's a day of shopping without some pampering at the end? My wife comes here to get her manicures so I suggested we stop in for some Pedicures. I don't often get this sort of treatment for myself, but I would say I'd need to come here again! The staff are friendly and courteous. The pedicure itself was pleasant and relaxing. Nothing like a great scrub to take the stress out your legs and feet. Any business owner that calls the police on their customers for standing up for their employee, and themselves... should NOT be a business owner. In the viral video that is going around, the female owner physically touched the nail artist to have her move away from her own customer, because the customer wrote a review on how poorly the owner handles issues. This business treats their employees like property and their customers like nothing. Owners are nothing but bullies. NEW MANAGEMENT/OWNERSHIP! Just moved in the area a month ago and I found this place, the first couple times I went was still with the previous management/owner and it wasn't as pleasant as with the new owner. First time I went was for my acrylic fill and the guy was so rough with the nail file at first it was just burning but then made them bleed. My 3rd experience was totally different, Tami is such a sweetheart! She did my nails and this time it was perfect! Now that the previous owners are gone this place is more relaxing. I can't say enough good things about this salon! Adam and Ava have done a wonderful job of creating a clean, professional salon void of the chemical/food smells commonly assoicated with the nail industry. The equipment is up-to-date and obviously well-maintained. Guests are greeted at the door and invited to select a polish from the vast array of color choices. this was a HORRIBLE experience for me. you should be ashamed. i was kicked out after letting the owner know where i wanted my color acrylic layed. he then harassed me and called me horrible names, grabbed my hand without consent and cut my nails extremely short. threatened to call the police, and made me leave. he is a womanizer, degrading, incredibly unprofessional and should not be able to own this business. do not go here ever. read more

I went here just today and I got great service from Lucy. As I came in to get a full set people were waiting and I thought that was a good sign that the store was highly rated. I got my nails done there exactly one week ago, so I've only had them on for 7 days. I got a full set, with gel polish on top. They already need to be filled and the color on them looks horrible! Some of my nails started to change to an ugly brown. The guy who did my nails was extremely nice, but the outcome was bad. I wouldn't go here ever again. read more

Very good experience! I went to the salon for pedicure and was a little wary of having the sugar scrub and massage on legs my legs were scratched up from raking pine needles. Linda was so careful and only used the scrub on my feet. She made the experience really enjoyable and relaxing. My polish still looks great after almost two weeks. read more
