Party Place has a good variety of costumes and party supplies for different occasions. I just wasn't a fan of how narrow some of the walkways were. Nasty rude prejudice.. We were racially discriminated against.. from the moment that we walked into the moment we walked out. It was 6:00 or 605 p.m on October 25th 2024. A little girl followed us from the moment that we walked into the store she was two steps behind us.. walking down every aisle being rude staring at us. We were with my son so we were being nice to her but she was being rude to us. We felt very uncomfortable My son started getting upset he start crying so we decided to leave and the girl held the door open for us and stared at us and was very rude My mom said she smiled at us like basically saying like get the f*** out. We felt very uncomfortable so my mother went back in herself to talk to the manager The manager was rude to her. My mother said that she was confrontational from the beginning like she was ready for an argument like she wanted to start an argument. She basically told her oh well too bad that that girl was doing her job and cleaning up. When in fact she was not.. We are Hispanic We were being followed very closely from behind like 2 in away she was watching everything we were doing. Everybody else in the store was f****** white. Now tell me what about that wasn't racist and discrimination! We strongly feel like suing these people for racial profiling and discrimination! My wife went shopping for a retirement party. The next day she realized a roll of wrapping paper she bought didn't get put in the bag. It was only a few dollars. She spent about $60 there. When she called them, assistant manager Stephanie said it was not left behind so she must be lying. My wife went to Walmart, bought the paper she needed, and won't be back. Wanted to pay over the phone and pick up graduation balloons curbside to avoid going inside and they would not walk the balloons to the car. The store might want to rethink this policy for a few months. Now I will be going to another party store. read more

I went in today to buy supplies and order balloons for my 2-year-old's birthday in two weeks. I brought my 4-year-old who was very excited and talked the entire time we were in the store about getting a balloon. When it came to check out, the 4 women behind the counter absolutely refused to blow up a single latex balloon for her because they were "running behind on orders." While that might be true, that's certainly not my (or her) fault, and I feel pretty confident that the 10 seconds it would take to blow her up a single balloon wouldn't make a difference to their work on orders. She was so disappointed. They were more than happy to take my $200 I spent on supplies though. Terrible service. read more

I bought balloons yesterday around 11am and paid the extra to have them last for 24 hours. It's now 6am and the 4 non Mylar balloons are on the ground. I have had balloons filled at other places and they are still floating after 3 days! And customer service was not great. I waited forever to have the balloons filled and some other poor lady was waiting two. One perso. Working the register and trying to fill balloons while 2 other employees stocked shelves. After this experience, I will still be doing the drive to North Olmsted when I need balloons or party decorations. read more

HARASSMENT AT ITS FINEST!!!! Yesterday, I was in the store. I grabbed a costume for my toddler & I made sure everything was in the costume package because last year, when I purchased a costume from the store in Elyria the pirate hat was missing out the package! I wasn't familiar with their policy, so an employee approaches me telling me to not open the package, I said ok and closed it (I didn't take out ANYTHING!!) he came closer to me harassing me telling me to answer back to him, threatening to KICK ME out the store, called me a b****. I asked him to please go somewhere else, he decided to start fixing stuff right next to me. He was going back and fourth with me. He looked over worked and stressed out. I asked to speak with his manager after his comment, and he told me no because he was the manager. He wouldn't give me his name, first his name was Joe then Mike. I asked to speak someone higher than him and he told me " do it, I wont get fired, they need me". The attitude was disgusting, foul and out of order! read more

So disappointed. I have been to the store several times and always disappointed. Today I decided it was my last. I purchased some items for my granddaughter and was very specific when I made my purchase that I had no idea if she would like them (14 years old) so could I be assured I could return without any problems. I was told--yes. They did not exclude anything. When I went to return the items today, I was told anything that goes on the head cannot be returned. I had purchased a $14 tiara. I explained what I had been told and that no one mentioned tiaras were not returnable. Her response was to tell me that they should have a sign up saying that--there is no sign. Very irritated. I went there to buy trinkets for a school party. Spent my time in aisle 4. Most bins or hanging items were so low it was impossible to buy enough for 27 kids. I had to spend more than i wanted because I couldn't get enough items of the things i did want. Also things were not in their proper places. It was messy.
