The Party Rental Shop is a great place to rent your party needs. Travis has excellent customer service. That's very hard to find these days. Unfortunately, Travis and his wife have negative reviews online because they kept the name of the shop the same as the last owner, so the negative reviews have followed them. My family was planning a huge family reunion with 75 people attending from all over the country. Our reunion was to be held at the Lake of the Woods in Lakeside, AZ. I had spoken to Adrienne at Party Rent Shop one year in advance to reserve a tent, tables and chairs. I had every intention to use this business for all my party needs. With just a few weeks before the reunion, she told me that she wasn't able to provide the manpower to deliver, set up and tear down and that we'd have to do all the work ourselves. One of my other family members contacted another local party shop and was able to secure getting the table and chairs delivered and set up so my guests didn't have to do all the labor! That's when I contacted Party Rent Shop back to notify Adrienne that I would only need to rent the 20'x40' tent. She became irate and said, "The deal is off, as she does not accept a "tent only" order!" What? Where was that written in my contact? I was never notified of that? We exchanged a few words and the call ended. I would NEVER recommend Party Rental Shop for any of your party needs. read more

Talk about an interesting experience. Super hard to get ahold of once you make the deal. Doesn't take Zelle or Venmo, or credit cards only checks and when you send a check and email numerous time to follow up if she received it she tells you mail is slow then never responds after numerous emails. Finally responds after I emailed again about receiving the check and tells me she hasn't received it yet and has rented out some of our items we reserved without calling first to see what happened. My bride offered numerous ways to pay and she refused all but a check. This is 2021 and Zelle is free no service fees and instant. Don't bother trying to call only answers phone 3 days a week for 4 hours. Email is just as bad for responses. We were told we could drop off check but this is a destination wedding and we explained we don't live there. I have been in business over 30 years and have never had such a terrible experience. I mean who doesn't answer there phone or answer emails. We are opening a venue up that way and I will for sure NEVER direct anyone to this company. Renter beware. read more

Would you trust a plumbing company called "Plumber" in your home? Would you eat at a place called "Restaurant?" No. so don't trust or use a party rental shop called "Party Rental Shop." We learned the hard way. They will nickel and dime you every step of the way--for delivery, pickup, and everything in between. We were threatened with having our whole set of wedding equipment not being delivered because the owner fabricated a twenty dollar "unloading fee" on the spot when she realized no one but my mother was there. My mother would have gladly just paid it to solve the problem, but the owner would only accept cash. She recommended in lieu of the fee, my mother could unload the entire truck herself. Furthermore, this equipment she drives out to you is old, miss-colored, full of holes, and probably 30 years old. Our "white tent" that housed our wedding reception had dozens of holes, was actually somewhere between off-white and piss-yellow, and had tire marks all over it. I don't write reviews this negative often--check my profile. This woman and this company though are a very special kind of awful. Pay more for someone else, even if it has to be all the way from the valley. You don't get the product you pay for, there are hidden fees, and an insulting owner--I did my best to leave out her rudeness and just stick with the facts. Skip this company 100% of the time. But the way the owner will bully you for 20 bucks--it would appear she's on her way to being broke anyway, so none of us should have to worry about it much longer. read more

This company deserves a negative 5 stars!!! Do anything you can to avoid using this company. Save yourself the nightmare! The lady is an absolute rat!! We rented 9 tables from her for our wedding. Leading up to the event, she was fine. She knew we were coming up from the valley and we were scheduled to pick the tables up on Friday afternoon as soon as we arrived to town. We were a few mins late getting to the shop before it closed at 2pm, due to delays on the drive up. She refused to wait and was mad we even asked her to. We communicated with her that day prior and spoke to her Friday at 1:50pm and told her we were 15 mins out and we were hurring as fast as we could. She refused to wait stating she had a delivery to make. Which was totally fine. I didn't want to delay anyone else from getting items they needed. So we asked if could meet her when she was done with her delivery. She agreed and advised us she would return in 30 mins. We went directly to the shop, to avoid missing each other. We sat there for over 2 hours waiting for her to return! She would not return any of our calls, we called numerous times and left numerous voicemails, and she never attempted to contact us. Finally we called Classic Events and rented tables from them, last minute and had them loaded, in the truck and on our way back to the venue within 20 mins of even making contact with Theresa at Classic Events. The evil lady at this horrible shop then called us around 6 pm yelling and mad because no one was there to get the tables. Unbelievable that someone would be 100% ok with ruining someone's wedding over a 5 minute wait. Upon talking to other vendors in the area, I learned this is common practice for this place. I am not even including the mean, horrible, hateful things she said during phone conversations. To say this lady is rude by far is an understatement!! Completely unprofessional!! read more

I will try to be brief in noting just a few reasons why you should NOT rent from this company. Our family rented items from Party Rental recently for a wedding. 'The boss' was the most rude individual I have worked with in all my years as a consumer, as well as working in customer service and as a business owner myself. In the planning phase of our event, she seemed unorganized and forgetful. On delivery day, she and the crew arrived late and she was so rude and angry because she had 'bad directions'. I saw her handwritten note upon arrival bearing the correct directions that she'd misinterpreted - after I stood in the rain for 30 minutes while they drove around the national forest (no one lives in the national forest!) looking for my home (after I saw them drive by going too fast). She was so angry on the phone, I couldn't even give her assistance with directions back to my home. I had to continue standing out front (in the rain) until they finally saw me. Upon arrival: - She made it clear she had events larger than ours that she needed to get to. - She stated that I need to "get out there and get busy unloading her truck" because the actual unloading is NOT included in the rental cost. Maybe I should incorporate this extra $$ making bit in my business?! Wait, no, the LIABILITY of people climbing in and out of my trucks- lifting, moving... Bad idea. - Way too much (rude) communication and drama over an additional $22 CASH or CHECK only fee for them to do it. To be paid BEFORE they would unload it. Of course it was added for the pick up as well. Thankfully I had some cash. - The white tent was filthy and had many small holes in it. - To the company's credit, the crew was courteous and apologetic towards her behavior. This is just a tiny bit of the interaction I had with the owner of this company. I am an extremely patient person, and get along with ANYONE. If it had not been a rainy weekend and no other late-in-the-game options, I would have asked her to leave my property with her things. Time for that woman to retire. Unless you are ok with rudeness and attitude at your special event, don't invite this company to help you. And then pay them for it to boot. read more
