We are traveling cross country on a motorcycle, staying in hotels along the way, so we look for affordable sleeping conditions...hate spending big bucks to literally sleep for 8 hours. For a 2-star hotel I'm giving the KC Motel 4.5 stars. Price is on point, the rooms are clean, the bed was super comfy and a bonus point for the soft, but not-too-soft pillows. The shower pressure was excellent!! The staff is friendly and helpful. We had a great night's sleep. My only ding to the experience was the breakfast... it's understandable, being a small hotel, not wanting to have an over abundance of breakfast inventory, but we have stayed in similar hotels where they had nicer offerings. Instant oatmeal in the little envelopes and premade, microwavable breakfast sandwiches go a long way. If you are looking for a safe, comfortable, friendly place to lay your head, don't let the lackluster breakfast deter you. There's a BK right next door! read more

While stuck in Show Low for vehicle repairs, we used ChatGPT to locate a hotel/motel that was budget-friendly, clean and had never, ever had a report of infestation - this motel came to the top of the list. We stayed 3 nights - friendly proprietors, super clean, very quiet, heat/cold unit works perfectly... highly recommend!!!! As others have noted, the breakfast is primarily sugar/carbs, but you are literally within 1/2 mile (walking distance!) of a full-size grocery store, and even closer to a Family Dollar, two gas/convenience stores, a WONDERFUL cafe (Persnikkity's) and fast food (Burger King next door), so the breakfast was inconsequential to us. This is my 2nd time staying at this motel and it's always nice. The staff is welcoming and provides great customer service. The best thing is that the rooms are extremely clean! I will not stay anywhere that has dirty rooms and I never have a problem here. Also, the room was comfortable and I like how you can park right in front of your room. Bottom line up front: A nice place to stay. Double click: the rooms are a bargain, spacious and very clean. Our room was quiet; far better than I would have expected for the price. Breakfast was ok, the usual waffles, etc. I learned a new hack!. Take the cold syrup and butter back to your room microwave, and warm it up before you make your waffles. Coffee was meh, but there's a Starbucks at the nearby Safeway. All the guests were nice folks the night we were there, and they are dog friendly, just a $10 up charge. read more

This is my 4th or 5th year staying at the KC Motel. Last year I was super NOT impressed but this year, I'm happy again! For some reason, I ended up with a 2 bed room (even though I booked AND confirmed 1 bed). Wow, the 2 bed rooms are BIG! The 1 bed rooms are super COZY so I was pretty surprised. Everything was clean and comfy, no complaints. For the first time I checked out the continental breakfast -it was ok. Very small selection, would have liked some hot eggs. I come up to Show Low to the Show Low Motorsports Park to race. I made reservations for this motel. It's not a Holiday Inn or a Sheraton. It's a homey motel. One of those places that you found back in the early traveling days. What we found was a nice big room, a comfy king size bed, microwave and refrigerator. It just was a really nice place to stay. There was even a jacuzzi tub! It's close to everything in town. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay again. read more

Room very overcrowded barely room for us. Heating extremely loud, can't sleep with it on too cold with it off, my Wife slept fully dressed & couldn't get comfortable, I'll pay for this later. Fair rate but for a better facility. Bungalow style room, detach, exterior entries, bathroom needs update, sit for 2, stand for 1, not both. Lite breakfast included, should make optional and reduce prices. After making coffee @05:00, sink water faucet started leaking and I couldn't turn off the cold water shutoff. Put trash can to catch leaking water and expect compensation for inconvenience and wet sox. When we checked out we told them of the leak issue and they refunded all charges, great business people. Loved our last minute stay. We got snowed in and had to get a room at about 11 pm. No reservation. Very cheap and very clean. Friendly staff and no hassles. The tv was on the older side but we were warm and slept great. I think they serve breakfast, but we didn't check it out. This is the 2nd time I've been here .. The owner is a really nice guy named Subi, he's helpful friendly the rooms are spotless and they have smoking and non smoking rooms .. The room I got was a double bed for me and my brother .. They have cable and wifi for free .. Normal places to grab beer or snacks are close by ( CVS, gas station ) the price for a one night stay was 57$ and the shower/bathroom was again spotless and the hot water lasted for pretty much an unlimited time , I'm pleased with this place and won't go elsewhere when I come to show low read more

We were in Show Low visiting my mother-in-law who was in the hospital and we needed somewhere to stay that was reasonably priced. The room was very clean, the price was very reasonable, we were very happy with our stay considering the circumstances of our visit. The manager/owner was always very nice and friendly, he was extremely accommodating and made sure that our reservation was extended as needed. Very nice and clean motel in Show Low. We live in Cottonwood which is 20 miles from Sedona and hotel prices there are very high. KC motel was a great price, the staff is friendly and it's close to restaurants. The breakfast is standard with lots of carbs but ok to get you going in the morning. We will stay here again. Don't do what I did and spend more than the night at this mold motel, and by the night I mean check in and out while it's dark. The bed is comfortable and the hospitality room were the only highlights of our stay at KC motel. Don't be fooled by the HBO on their sign out front. The tv did not have Home Box Office. I think its the name of the guy running the place. They do a fantastic job of masking the mold in the rooms. The ac/heat for the room fills the room with the smell of a gym bag left in a hot car. Don't bother turning it on, you will get a headache by the time the room cools down. It wasn't until we returned to the room a day later to sleep that we became aware of just how dank the carpet and how prevalent the moldy stank had become by then. My belongings upon returning home all had the musky smelI of our room. All my clothing from my weekend had to go straight to the wash. I had not let housekeeping into the room because of our stuff. I know why know they were covering the carpets in the rooms that were being cleaned with some kind of febreeze odor masking product. With the lights on and the ac running you quickly become aware of the mosquitos occupying the room with you. You are better to leave the unit off and hope opening the window cools the room. I also know now why the check in guy sounded surprised I was staying two nights. Our Non smoking room right next to a guest chain smoking and tossing the butts out the door. I had to walk over them to get to my car.It smelled like someone pissed in an ashtray in the sun. I am a reserved person and did not bother with discussing any of my complaints with anyone in the office. I am satisfied all would fallen on deaf ears because it was obvious they had heard it all before. I will let Yelp put it out there and maybe it might make a difference. But for me I will contact Master Card about the poor service and allow them to handle my refund. I did in fact read the reviews on Yelp before our trip and as this was close to our reunion site I chose the KC motel. It hurts to be ripped off to the tune of $72 a night. Even if the rooms were less in price you are still getting robbed. I believe the room price is the owners way of making revenue on one stay a night guest turnovers. I would give this place a negative rating if I had te option. read more
