You can find most things under $10. I recently bought a bag of 6 navel oranges (super sweet too!) for just $3.99. They don't sell by pounds which helps a lot. Got a bag of frozen potstickers for $6 which would've been around $10 at an Asian market. Snacks are mostly between $2-$6. I'm starting to like shopping here again as they have many interesting foods that are affordable.

I find the staff to be exactly what the internet says about them- easy to converse with, super helpful, and probably making their way through college (at least the ones that have helped me so far are). There was one time where I timidly asked a question about a food they had out of stock and the cashier just yelled out what I asked for and they had someone busting a mission to find it! I didn't even need it that badly but that has been a core Joe memory for me. Shout out to that staffer whose name escapes me. Since I don't have a huge family to feed, Trader Joe's has been my go-to for just the right amount of food that I can finish without letting it go bad. Shout out to the Mango Cream Bars, Bulgogi Fried Rice, and Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs. If there's anything consistent in my life, it's those three.

Well to my surprise I received a call the following day to say that the way Gaby had written up the cake order that they can't and don't make that type of cake. Well it's been almost 2 months with several calls to a supervisor and I have not recieved a refund. I call every Friday to complain and keep being told they are trying to cancel the original check and resend a new one. Who knew it took over 3 weeks to cancel a check? They just did another reshuffling of the aisles, which always confuses me for a while, but they added back full-size racks around the pharmacy. The last remodel added shorter racks for the medication, and they were backlit. It made the pharmacy feel special, like a store within a store. They instead cleared out the front of those same aisles for holiday seasonal displays. I think it's harder to find the medication I'm looking for now. You do need to app if you want certain deals, but check that receipt because they don't always work. I've had to call someone over twice in the past few months because the signage didn't match the price given. I feel bad for people who may not have or want a smartphone. The people who work here are more efficient than friendly. You'll often feel like you're interrupting a conversation between two employees unless you use self-checkout. Some are really nice. When it was our turn to check out, the cashier told us the store was closed and refused to ring up our items. She directed us to customer service instead. When we went to customer service, we were informed that the store was actually still open until 10:00 PM. What made the situation even more upsetting was that after refusing to serve us, the cashier immediately rang up the customer behind us. If the store was truly closed, why were other customers still being checked out? The entire interaction felt targeted, disrespectful, and humiliating. While I cannot know the cashier's intentions, being denied service while another customer was served moments later left my friends and me feeling singled out and unwelcome. Rather than argue, I left all of my items behind and walked out. I have shopped at 99 Ranch for years and never expected to experience something like this. I hope management reviews the surveillance footage and register activity from Register 14 around 9:00 PM on June 6, 2026, and addresses why customers were falsely told the store was closed while others continued to receive service. Sadly, I always feel like I have to stop at Vons to pick up something they didn't have, and vice versa. The one thing they need to work on is removing outdated sale prices. Twice in the past couple of months, the sale price listed didn't ring up, or wouldn't scan into the app, because it had expired. Now to their credit, they honored the sales price at the register, but it still held up the line while they verified the sale price. I assume they'll move to the digital price tags soon which will solve the problem, but until then, watch your receipt!
