My absolute favorite 99 Ranch! And yes..99 Ranch, not Ranch 99. I love this 99 Ranch solely for their variety in seafood and meat products. The prices are great especially when there's a sale going on! It's next to an omomo too! Inside there's Wushiland and The Chicken Rice(LOVE!) as well. The seafood station always has friendly and quick service. I appreciate them during rush hours and they can get overwhelmed at times so please be patient! read more

Very disappointing experience at the Tustin 99 Ranch Market (550 E. 1st St.) on June 6, 2026, around 9:00 PM. My group of friends and I were purchasing snacks and waiting respectfully in line at Register 14. Our group consisted of one African American individual and three Southeast Asian individuals. When it was our turn to check out, the cashier told us the store was closed and refused to ring up our items. She directed us to customer service instead. When we went to customer service, we were informed that the store was actually still open until 10:00 PM. What made the situation even more upsetting was that after refusing to serve us, the cashier immediately rang up the customer behind us. If the store was truly closed, why were other customers still being checked out? The entire interaction felt targeted, disrespectful, and humiliating. While I cannot know the cashier's intentions, being denied service while another customer was served moments later left my friends and me feeling singled out and unwelcome. Rather than argue, I left all of my items behind and walked out. I have shopped at 99 Ranch for years and never expected to experience something like this. I hope management reviews the surveillance footage and register activity from Register 14 around 9:00 PM on June 6, 2026, and addresses why customers were falsely told the store was closed while others continued to receive service. This store is smaller than the Irvine location but cleaner with a good selection of produce, meat and seafood. They have convenient to-go sushi and hot deli items when I need something quick. They also have a bakery and boba shop inside. On weekends, they often provide food samples which is great to taste before buying. read more

This was my first time going to a 99 Ranch Market. I was a little unimpressed with the produce, but the amount of frozen items and meat was impressive as were the prices. They have a nice bakery and deli inside so there are a lot of Asian dishes that you can pick up and take home which is nice. read more

It's a really nice, large store with a great variety of Asian food, snacks, meals, fruits, vegetables, fish balls, dumplings, noodles, and more. I especially loved the sushi area, it seemed like people come here often for sushi because the selection was impressive, unlike other 99 Ranch locations I've been to. Looks like 99 Ranch Tustin glowed up! They opened up additional eateries inside. Last time I was here there wasn't a coffee boba shop nor the chicken rice stand near the hot deli. Bigger variety or has more stock of items than the Euclid one. Hot food area is also decent (get the chicken in chili oil!) and there's a Wushiland Boba and Thai chicken place inside on the right. -1 star though for their honey bbq pork here (char siu). It's not bad but it's actually way better at the Euclid location and the staff usually knows how to slice up the charsiu better. read more

A lot of the newer 99 Ranch Markets have the same store asthetic that resembles H-Mart. I love both markets, but I miss the classic 99 Ranch store layouts. But...still a large location nonetheless and they have all your grocery essentials here: fresh produce, fresh meat and seafood, a hot deli (didn't get to try it on my last visit, but next time...definitely). But yeah, everything looks good here. Prices are a little higher here, but think it's probably just the area. This location is within a larger plaza, but the parking lot is decent sized in front of store. Staff are also nice here. Worth a shopping visit! read more

This 99 Ranch is fairly new and the layout is a little weird with the produce section being on the far left, meat and seafood in the back, and prepped food in a food court area on the right. They do have cut durian and jackfruit for the summer season which adds to the fragrance of the store. To me it smells like Asia and I don't really mind it but it might be a bit much for some. Vegetables, fruit, meat and fish selection seem to be good quality and fresh. And things are fairly well organized. This location is a lot less busy than the ones in Irvine. Which means this store is kept a clean. There's also a hot deli section where you can select 2 or 3 items combos. I got the 3 item combo with half fried rice and fried noodle and it was only $14. Review for hot deli only All I needed was something quick to eat in a pinch since I had a lot of things going on at work. I got the three item combo. I also needed to grab a couple items from the grocery store so that part was convenient. However, my taste buds were not happy. I had the standard fried rice and chow mein noodles along with teriyaki chicken, which I thought would be safe. The other two sides were fish fillet in black bean sauce and Kung pao chicken. These three items had no flavor, but yet tasted all the same and was just blah. Usually fast food like this could be very oily, greasy, and salty. The grease element was there, but there was really no salt and no flavor or depth profile. But I guess you can't have high expectations. This reminded me of something you would get in an institution cafeteria where you don't have a lot of options and things are not always fresh. I most likely will not return for the hot food section from the steam tables. They had other prepackaged food items sitting on the counter for you to grab. I'm hesitant as I never know how long it's been sitting there. Perhaps I will try the barbecue meats next time. read more

This is a new 99 Ranch Market in Tustin and it has quickly become my favorite location! I stopped in on a Sunday morning and there were hardly anyone here. Perhaps it gets busier later in the day. This location offers a lot of hot food items at the Hot Deli section. I also like that this store is big and carries a good variety of whole body meats (i.e. innards). The variety of fresh fish and live seafood was impressive. I was also impressed that the seafood and meat section didn't smell funky. However, I'm not sure if this will be the case as time goes on... but I hope they maintain their cleanliness and keep the smell out. Something small, but makes a huge difference for someone like me - I'm glad they have self checkout! There are plenty of parking spaces in this plaza. read more

Probably the best 99 Ranch I've been to. Definitely the Cleanest! Workers were nice and the food court has a great selection. They have their bakery, a hot deli that serves classic chinese food(they sell whole ducks ), a Hainan Chicken place called The Chicken Rice, and a Wushiland! Definitely a new go to. I was #5 in line for the grand opening. All the VIP's from 99 Ranch were there along with the Mayor of Tustin. They had the Lion dance, and the lions danced through the store to bless it before opening. Tustin was long overdue for a good Asian market. Now I don't have to drive to Irvine. I saw lots of great deals, especially in the frozen seafood area. They sell fresh seafood and will even cook or clean it for you. The deli looked amazing. I liked the whole hog. Once the grand opening crowds die down, I'll be in both those sections a lot. As busy as they were the checkout line went fast. They had plenty of help. They also had more free samples than Costco. I plan on shopping here often and learn to cook more Asian dishes. read more

Of the 99 ranch markets I've visited this was a little underwhelming. When I checked out the bagger put all my produce (basil leaves, Brussel sprouts) on the BOTTOM of my bag first then put the bottles of juice horizontally on top and then the small watermelon she had me carry separately. Tonight around 9:30 p.m. at cashier #3, Alondra. I met the rudest cashier I've ever seen at 99 Ranch -- a young woman with a doll-like face and slightly red hair. Completely zombie-like, arrogant, and careless. The manager (Chinese guy with glasses) had just helped the customer before me, who only had a few items. But the moment he saw my basket full of stuff, he spun in circles and started chatting instead of helping. Strike 1: She ignored my greeting. Strike 2: When I asked for help packing, she made a "tsss" sound, rolled her eyes and looked at me like, "Seriously?" Strike 3: She ignored my request and helped the customer behind me instead. Strike 4: Even after finishing with the customer behind me, she still didn't bother to help me. Not surprised -- a slacking manager hires slackers. Cashiers 1-3 are often rude, but this one takes the crown. If there's a "Rudest Cashier" chart at 99 Ranch, she'd win platinum. read more

Excited for the grand opening of this Chinese grocery store. This finally replaced the empty area that's been sitting for years since the Vons closed. The place is very clean and has all new fridge and freezer areas. Lots of selections in produce and meat and seafood. I went to 99 Ranch nearby my house for beef meatball soup and passed by the frozen section. I was pleasantly surprised to finally see the viral ice cream that has been all over the internet. I searched for them at two or three locations back in the summer with no luck. I swooped up each flavor, three in total: lemon, mango, and peach. They are so aesthetically pleasing to the eyes and just cute to look at. Can't wait to try each one when I get home. read more

I used to like this store. It used to be my go to place. I always want to support my local Asian market. However, management is abysmal. You hire your workers who taught people to drive them out of the store even before the store is closed. When there is 15 minutes, left guests are entitled to complete their shopping until closing time. However, you hire morons who walk around and every few minutes taunt customers. I would never get this type of experience in any other Asian market. 99 Ranch does not deserve to succeed. I wish H Mart will come to Tustin and take over so this door will shut down. I cannot wait for this unworthy store to shut down because it does not deserve to succeed. I will go get my Asian goods at other stores in the future. You have just lost a customer and I hope more people will realize what an awful Asian grocery store this is. There are other Asian markets in Orange County. Just drive the extra 5 minutes. Brand new and very clean supermarket/food to go place. Great idea and good execution so far. Employees are a little rough though as we had a couple low lights in the customer service department getting food to go. The employee had very limited knowledge and english speaking skills, however, that just might be a training and confidence issue which could be due to newness of the place. We'll surely be back for all our asian grocery needs. Also, there is a restaurant serving chicken dishes that's currently under construction. Eager to try that out once it in operation. I had a gift card here and decided to check out the new Tustin location because I kept seeing it on IG that they had an awesome bakery section and hot foot section. This store was really spacious and they had so many good options for food for sure. It was super clean and even the bakery gave out free samples of whatever they were offering for a limited time. My major complaint, Terrible Service, the Cashiers, I had had many over the past few months, they all have $hitty Attitudes, they never Smile, the never greet us, they never even try to make Eye contact. The Chicken Rice recently opened up which I can't wait to try, and I see that Wushiland is also coming soon. With the bakery, hot deli, and sushi available, it really will have everything soon! We heard some showed up hours early. They are still giving away Honey Bee Apples to everyone, and you get a $5 coupon after signing up for their rewards account. From specialty sauces to fresh herbs, noodles, spices, and even hard-to-find ingredients, this store is stocked with a good amount of essentials. Even though the store is on the smaller side, it's so well-organized and easy to navigate. The meat/seafood section is clean, and organized, and the workers are friendly and helpful. They allowed a lady to bring her 3 dogs INSIDE the store! It took speaking to 2 employees to get to the manager for him to finally went to find and escort her out. The fact that they still allowed her to check out rather than removing her completely from the store... that baffles me. She was not supposed to be allowed to enter in the first place. THIS IS A GROCERY STORE not Home Depot! I'm a dog owner myself, and my dogs stay at home. People are allergic to dogs and that should be common knowledge. Last, it's against the law. I do not get it. They have only opened for a week, so the food service dept was a little slow and unorganized but they were nice...the place took over the old Vons and it's a decent size market with new everything...it looks like the ones in Irvine have more stocks and items but this is still good enough especially we were lacking an Asian market for a very long time in this area. The newest 99 Ranch Market is the spot that used to be Vons then was a rotating variety of other markets that never seemed to last. A decent size and nice and fresh and bright. The market is focused on food for the Chinese market, but they do have a variety of things for other Asian cuisines as well as American standards, but if you want typical American groceries, there are other places nearby as a better option. They have several prepared food options, including a bakery and a take-out restaurant, with a Thai chicken spot opening soon. The real key here are the fish options and meat options for traditional Asian dishes. There are cuts of meat and fish you are just not going to find at Ralph's, TJ's or Bristol Farms, including live shellfish. Prices are decent, with some stuff priced cheaper and other more expensive than other markets. read more

Looks new, smells new! Clean and sparse (comparing to other 99 Ranch stores). It's smaller than the ones in Irvine. I went here from work and wanted to get some dinner. However, the fast-food deli was empty with a few items that looked days old. Didn't look appetizing. So I bought a fresh saba fish and had it fried. I bought some choy sum (green bokchoy). The produces were decent and fresh but not a lot of other groceries I was looking for. I bought a red bean bun from the bakery. It was stale! Not bad. Love the cleanliness and not a lot of bodies moving around. Nonetheless, I'll go to the Irvine locations or H-Mart with more choices. read more
