Hidden in a commercial building is HiroNori - home of the best tonkotsu ramen in So Cal. I've been to the Irvine and Torrence location as well and all locations are on par and produce the same quality ramen. Restaurant is on the first floor towards the back and is super chic inside. Restaurant itself is not very big, so you may encounter a wait.. but it's worth it. Plus the staff is friendly - they tell you up front about the included 17% gratuity. Ramen is perfection. Egg noodles are the perfect texture and the tonkotsu broth is so good! I added a heap of garlic as that's my preference, but you can get garlic on the side. The chashu top is nice and juicy as well. All in all a solid spot.

Just wanted to shoutout our staff that served us 30 mins prior to closing. They were very accommodating to our group. The menu is very limited but the food is pretty good. The chasu is probably the best part of the ramen. It was grilled prior to being added to the ramen. It had a good blend of fat and lean meat. The noodles were chewy and we were given a decent amount. The price is fair for the portion and quality. The only downside is the location. It is tucked away inside an office building which made it difficult to find, but on the other hand there is a lot of parking space available.

This location is pretty hidden so it may alarm you to see the big business building. Just look for the sign and walk past the medical-looking corridor lol. There isn't a huge amount of space/seating but I was able to be seated immediately for my party of two for Friday dinner. The menu here is pretty limited but they seem to do each item really well. The tonkotsu ramen and salmon poke bowl were so flavorful and with good portions. Be prepared for an auto-gratuity/surcharge of 17%. It seems there was text on the menu about how to bypass it, but they blocked it out in marker so it's not avoidable.

10/10 Tonkotsu Ramen - This is my all time favorite spot for ramen. The broth is incredible and their chashu is hands down the best around. Cost - Tonkotsu Ramen $18.40, add corn $2.30.

OVERALL : I'm a big fan of HiroNori and have dined at their other locations several times, but this was my first time at the Orange location. It's def more hidden since it's in a business buiding, but there was still a full house when we visited on a Thurs evening for dinner. We waited around 20 mins to be seated. The ordering process was quick, service was friendly, and the food came out quick. Loved both their ramen and apps! PARKING : This location is a bit unique; it's in a courtyard area of a business building! The parking lot out front was pretty empty when we came around 7pm on a Thursday. We followed signs to get into the courtyard with the storefront. FOOD/DRINKS : Tonkotsu Ramen - Pork Chashu, spinach, green onion, seaweed, bean sprout, half egg -- creamy and flavorful broth, love the toppings and the chashu is some of the most tender I've had! Upgraded to Combo to include a small salad + salmon poke rice bowl - Salad dressing was nice and acidic, helped to have some veg between all the decadent bites! Salmon poke was okay, but I like Spicy Tuna more for sure. Quite a bit of rice in the bowl compared to fish. Spicy Cold Dipping Noodle - Bonito dashi broth w/ chili oil, cold noodles with pork chashu, bamboo, kaiware sprouts, bean sprouts, egg, spinach -- Super refreshing and cold! Loved the vinegar-y refreshing dipping broth. Not spicy to me, but had good chili flavor. Crispy Rice w/ Spicy Tuna - spicy tuna, avocado, crispy rice, eel sauce -- rice was soft yet crispy, not too oily. generous amount of spicy tuna. Matcha Latte w/ Azuki Boba - i like to get this when i dine here -- it's not a strong fancy coffeeshop "double matcha" by any means, but it's not trying to be one. It's a nice creamy matcha drink with red bean flavor thrughout and boba at the bottom. I like it as a sweet treat after all the savory foods!

I came here as a plus one with my boyfriend to attend a Yelp elite event. I ended up buying my own meal, which was a Tom Katsu Ramen. The soup is very tasty and bold. I would also say it's very umami. I definitely needed the water to help rinse it down. Ambience is clean and nice. I do not like the entrance way for this location though. It could get pretty confusing since it's connected to the office building. Ample parking available. Luckily when I went there still had an available table, but this location is very small. If you come at a peak time, you might be waiting a while for a table.

    Getting ready for something good.

Refreshing Ramen Spot. Stopped by this spot on a Saturday not sure what to expect, but everything was delightful. Inside was pleasant with lantern decorations and photos of ramen in production, and service was quick. Had a yuzunade and crab cucumber salad to start. It was a lot more cucumber than crab, but still had a really nice subtle flavor. The karaage came next and had a really nice light flavor and texture which didn't overpower the meal. The main course was the Summer Delight which was three small bowls. Spicy tuna, salmon poke, and spicy cold dipping noodle. Poke and Noodle tied for favorite of the meal. Overall, really glad I made the trip out. Even though it does feel like a bit of a search, given its location in an office building. But if you can find it, enjoy this hidden treasure.

Came here for lunch with my daughter and we ordered tonkotsu ramen and it's was very good and yuzu lemonade is as awesome and refreshing drink. The ramen noodle is phenomenal because it's not salty like some place and very delicious. Service here is good but they should let customer know tips are already included in your check and also they don't accept cash, they only accept credit cards. The gratuity should depends on service not just add on a surcharge because it depends on the server as well. Ambience here is very small and they get pretty busy here during dinner time. This place is in a business building and you would park the car and you would able to see a sign hiro nori then u enter to the double door and then another double door and it's on the left hand side. Overall this place the ramen is very good.

Ok, so first off, yes odd location. Don't be discouraged thinking your map lead you down the wrong path. It's hidden inside an office building. Menu is very limited. But if you're in the mood for just ramen, this is the place. Ramen was flavorful and not salty like most places. Service was good. Ambiance was a bit different. I'm not sure how u feel about the automatic 17% tip already added to the bill.

This is the second HiroNori location that I've tried, it's tucked away in a building and a pretty small location. We had a party of 7 and had to wait about 30-40 mins on a Friday evening. It was worth it though for the Tonkatsu ramen! The broth is super yummy and a great portion.

Although this place is a little hidden, it's definitely worth finding. I didn't realize HiroNori had multiple locations, but I was invited here for lunch and decided to try the Shoyu Ramen. The broth was rich and flavorful, and it really hit the spot. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. The service was exceptional, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. It's a smaller space, but I visited during lunchtime on a Thursday and it wasn't busy at all, which made for a relaxing experience. Overall, a great little spot and one I would gladly visit again.

Pretty average. My gf and I got Tonkotsu ramen and the chashu rice bowl. The ramen was pretty light and not very flavorful, it was better when mixed with spicy paste. The biggest killer for both orders was the spinach. They boil the spinach and the flavor and texture of it really made both meals not as good. I don't think I'd visit here again. It's not terrible, but I know places in the area that are better.

Talk about a hole in the wall - would have no idea this business park would have a restaurant in it, let alone a HiroNori. This spot is small and cozy. Not too many tables, but not a long wait either on a weekday night. Food quality is up to par with other locations! Definitely flavorful yet well-balanced and light!

We loved that they have a build your own ramen option! I got tonkotsu, with (firm) thin noodles and four included toppings - a steal for only $13.95 before tax. We also got spicy tuna crispy rice and sea salt edamame, both were equally delicious. Our server, Linda, was super attentive and accommodating! A Legendary Slurp - Gone But Never Forgotten It is a true…read moretragedy for the Orange County food scene that Hakata Ikkousha in Costa Mesa has closed its doors. This wasn't just a "ramen joint"--it was a masterclass in authentic Fukuoka-style soul food. The Broth: Liquid Gold The standout was always their Signature Tonkotsu broth. You could literally taste the 30+ hours of labor that went into it. It had that distinct "frothy" texture (the bubble of the bone marrow) that you only find in high-end Hakata shops. It was rich, creamy, and carried a deep umami funk without ever being overly greasy. The Hits * Black Tonkotsu: The roasted garlic oil (mayu) added a smoky, dark complexity that ruined all other garlic ramens for me. * God Fire: For those who like to sweat, this offered the perfect balance of heat without sacrificing the integrity of the pork flavor. * The Karaage: Genuinely some of the best fried chicken in the area. Massive, juicy thigh meat with a shattering, thin crust and that addictive spicy mayo on the side. * Customization: I loved that they let you pick your noodle firmness. "Hard" was the only way to go to ensure that perfect snap with every bite. The Atmosphere The Costa Mesa location always had a great energy--functional, clean, and unpretentious. The staff were always efficient, greeting everyone with a loud "Irasshaimase!" that made the experience feel truly authentic. It's heartbreaking to see such a high-caliber spot leave the neighborhood. If you were lucky enough to eat here, you know we lost a heavy hitter. To the team at Ikkousha: thank you for the memories and the best bowls in the city. You'll be sorely missed! Note: For those still craving that specific broth, their Torrance locations are still holding it down--definitely worth the drive to keep the dream alive. Come back to OC! !

Our server wasn't very personable but also not rude or terrible. I felt a little rushed even with a small menu. Being that I had never been there before, I wasn't sure what to get so I pretty much just blurted out whatever. What we ordered: 1) Black deluxe chicken paitan with pork - the broth was so tasty, it was absolutely delicious. The pork slices were generous, however, it was DRY. 2) Pork chashu - for my kid. They loved the broth as well and also felt that the pork slices were dry. I wanted to give 4 out of 5 stars, but I am going to hand them a 3. I loved the tasty broth, but the pork was too dry. How could you mess that up as a ramen restaurant? The portions looked a little smaller than what I am used to paying for much less money. That photo of my black deluxe chicken paitan with pork is very deceiving. It looks like a lot, but it definitely wasn't. I usually can't finish my bowl of ramen in one sitting and take the other half home. I barely had any broth in there, and being that the broth was very good, I was disappointed to run out of it before I was even done with the noodles and meat. Would I return? Sure. I liked the food. It's not a place I would go out of my way to eat at, but if I was around the neighborhood and wanted ramen, I would dine there again.
