Long overdue review! HiroNori is honestly one of my favorite spots for ramen, and this visit did not disappoint. Along with the great staff and intimate ambiance always a great go too. We started with the pork buns with marinated pork belly . The pork was tender and flavorful, and the pickled onions added the perfect tanginess. The crispy rice with spicy tuna was another favorite. We also tried the chicken rice bowl, which came with juicy chicken thigh, soft-boiled egg and rice. Simple, but really satisfying. Of course, the star of the meal was the Shoyu Ramen. The 100% chicken broth with 2-year barrel-aged soy sauce had a deep, savory flavor, with pork chashu, bamboo, spinach and soft-boiled egg bringing everything together. To wash it all down, we had the Mint Cucumber Yuzunade super refreshing, bright, and citrusy, and a great balance to all the rich flavors. This is one of the best ramen spots I've been to! The broth was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, while the noodles had the ideal texture. The toppings were fresh, generous, and complemented the ramen beautifully. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was welcoming and attentive. Service was quick, and everything arrived hot and fresh. The only minor downside is that the restaurant can be a bit challenging to find since it's located inside a business building. If you're visiting after 6:00 PM, you'll need to use the side entrance. If you're craving authentic, comforting ramen, this place is definitely worth a visit. If you love creamy tonkatsu ramen this is the very best. I've been to hiro nori for years and the tonkatsu never misses. We came close to closing time but the staff was nice enough to seat us. There are a few michellin rated locations (not sure this one is rated) but it is delish! I've been to the Irvine, san diego, and monterey park location and the quality has been 10/10 each time. Hidden in a commercial building is HiroNori - home of the best tonkotsu ramen in So Cal. I've been to the Irvine and Torrence location as well and all locations are on par and produce the same quality ramen. Restaurant is on the first floor towards the back and is super chic inside. Restaurant itself is not very big, so you may encounter a wait.. but it's worth it. Plus the staff is friendly - they tell you up front about the included 17% gratuity. Ramen is perfection. Egg noodles are the perfect texture and the tonkotsu broth is so good! I added a heap of garlic as that's my preference, but you can get garlic on the side. The chashu top is nice and juicy as well. Just wanted to shoutout our staff that served us 30 mins prior to closing. They were very accommodating to our group. The menu is very limited but the food is pretty good. The chasu is probably the best part of the ramen. It was grilled prior to being added to the ramen. It had a good blend of fat and lean meat. The noodles were chewy and we were given a decent amount. The price is fair for the portion and quality. The only downside is the location. This location is pretty hidden so it may alarm you to see the big business building. Just look for the sign and walk past the medical-looking corridor lol. There isn't a huge amount of space/seating but I was able to be seated immediately for my party of two for Friday dinner. The menu here is pretty limited but they seem to do each item really well. The tonkotsu ramen and salmon poke bowl were so flavorful and with good portions. Be prepared for an auto-gratuity/surcharge of 17%. I came here as a plus one with my boyfriend to attend a Yelp elite event. I ended up buying my own meal, which was a Tom Katsu Ramen. The soup is very tasty and bold. I would also say it's very umami. I definitely needed the water to help rinse it down. Ambience is clean and nice. I do not like the entrance way for this location though. It could get pretty confusing since it's connected to the office building. Ample parking available. Luckily when I went there still had an available table, but this location is very small. Refreshing Ramen Spot. Stopped by this spot on a Saturday not sure what to expect, but everything was delightful. Inside was pleasant with lantern decorations and photos of ramen in production, and service was quick. Had a yuzunade and crab cucumber salad to start. Came here for lunch with my daughter and we ordered tonkotsu ramen and it's was very good and yuzu lemonade is as awesome and refreshing drink. The ramen noodle is phenomenal because it's not salty like some place and very delicious. Service here is good but they should let customer know tips are already included in your check and also they don't accept cash, they only accept credit cards. The gratuity should depends on service not just add on a surcharge because it depends on the server as well. Ambience here is very small and they get pretty busy here during dinner time. This place has great ramen. Just went here again and I would come back. It's not the best ramen I've ever had, but it's definitely good. They give you watermelon flavored water or regular water. Because I'm over 40, I did wish the chairs had back support. But they look cool. Small and calming space with good flavors. I also enjoyed the spicy tuna on crispy rice. Really enjoyed this spot! We went on a recommendation from a friend who had ordered delivery from them and really liked their food. I got the tonkotsu and I think the bf got the shoyu. The broths were really good, and even better after adding a little garlic and chilli paste (free, just ask for it). While we both enjoyed their broths the bf really liked the fatter ramen noodles while I'm more into the thinner variety. Still very good. We also ordered the cucumber crab salad which had suuch good flavor but left us craving more crab; the eel tempura buns were reeeallyy yummy; and to drink we tried the cucumber mint yuzunade which was very refreshing and tart. The service was top notch, got seated after maybe a five minute wait, and our server was super attentive and courteous. Just know when you pull into the lot you're going to see a giant office building -the restaurant is INSIDE, you have to pull into the left of the building once entering the lot then you'll see a sign or two for the restaurant. Once you find the door you kinda have to wait until someone leaves to be able to get in, then you just follow everyone else through the halls who're trying to eat. During our last encounter, we felt like the hostess/server was being unnecessarily rude. She would not let me reserve a table via phone when I said their waitlist online was broken. Nothing beats HiroNori when it comes to ramen. Took my wife here for basically her first-ever ramen experience, and from here on out, I don't think she will ever be able to enjoy any other ramen. Set the bar really high for her! The one downside to this place is that it's small and often has a long wait. Sometimes you can join the line virtually while you're on your way over, but it's hit or miss I think. This location is in kind of a random spot, so sometimes it's not as busy as other locations like the Irvine location, which I think is always packed from open to close. This location is closer for us and seems to be less crowded, although still somewhat busy when we've gone. Nonetheless, it's worth the wait. I just typically go for the tonkotsu ramen and I'm never disappointed. Lots of food and very filling. The popcorn chicken on the side or whatever it's called is also very good if you're able to share it with a crew of 3-4. Be aware they add a service fee, like basically a tip automatically, so that's kind of unfortunate but something to be aware of. read more

HiroNori really surprised me for being a chain. With so many ramen spots around, I'm usually left underwhelmed, but this one hit. The noodles and the richness of the broth genuinely reminded me of ramen I had in Japan--definitely a step above typical American-style ramen. They give complimentary white garlic paste and spicy sauce on the side, which was a nice touch. I also loved the watermelon and mint-infused water. The karaage was light and juicy, though I wasn't a big fan of the dipping sauce (it's more of a vinaigrette-style dressing). Service was excellent--servers were attentive and on top of everything. The only downside is the price. Two ramen bowls and the karaage came out to about $60. They also add a 17.2% service charge to support all members of the HiroNori staff. It's optional and they mention you can remove it when they bring the bill. I didn't mind paying it since the service was exceptional and it's shared among the team. One thing to note: the restaurant is a bit hidden. You'll need to enter through the double doors located on the left side of the building, walk down an office hallway, and turn left. I have ordered several times from this place through Door Dash. They have great leak proof bowls which are placed in a clear bag and put in an HiroNori Craft Ramen logoed paper bag with handles. In the past, I have enjoyed he delicious and flavorful Vegan Ramen soup. Today I ordered the Eel Tempura Buns and Green salad which was a delicious meal. After reading the great reviews, we decided to give it a try--even though the wait was about an hour. It was absolutely worth it! On our first visit, my boyfriend and I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, and it was the best ramen I've had in a long time. The broth was rich, creamy, and full of flavor.
