Staff was very friendly and coffee was tasty! I got the blended Maui Chiller with caramel. On the sweeter side but I personally like sweet. They have a list of their top sellers incase you have trouble deciding. The vibe is super chill, and spacious, plenty of seats and some booths/couches. They also have outside seating which is quite nice incase it gets busy. It was my first time here but I'll definitely come back to try more drinks.
Really great coffee, conveniently with a drive-thru! I love how many options you have on the menu. This is definitely catering to coffee-lovers with a sweeter palette. The coffee isn't as bitter and is definitely smoother, but masked heavily by the syrups and flavor add-ins. Not sure if you'd like all the options if you don't like sweet, weaker coffee though. The inside is super clean and works are friendly! Definitely gonna return if I want a sweet coffee/something convenient. Good amount of seating and plugs available inside.

I went to visit my parents and on my way home I decided to visit Makenna Koffee. They are located in a busy little strip mall off Tustin Street. The parking lot was busy, i went in the middle of the afternoon. Since it was my first time trying their drinks, I opted to go inside and look at their menu. I was greeted right away and the employee was very helpful, I asked her opinion on two different drinks. I ended up getting the Pistachio Cold Brew. My drink was good, and I was happy with the flavor. Ambiance 4/5 Service 5/5 Drink 4.5/5
Have been wanted to try their coffee since they opened a few months ago, but the drive thru line was always too long, until today! Their menu is expansive with cold brew, espresso, coffee, smoothies and more. Ordered The Legend iced -- it was cold, flavorful, with lots of caramel drizzle. The staff was very friendly and helpful with my selection -- will definitely be back to try one of the other menu items.
Got the Maui latte and Irish cream cold brew and they were both delicious! Definitely on the sweeter side, like if you wanted a dessert coffee drink. The maui latte was sweet, slightly nutty, and the perfect amount of creaminess. The cream on the Irish cream cold brew was divine! It tastes like vanilla marshmallow fluff, and the coffee had a nice fruitiness to it!
If you like your coffee drinks sweet and not taste like coffee, this is the spot for you. Similar to Dutch Bros or Better Buzz. If I came back, I'd definitely do 1/2 sweet and I'm typically someone who already likes their coffee sweet and I already had an extra espresso shot added to my drink! I got the NORTH SHORE iced latte with a 3rd shot (they offer the 3rd shot for free - which is nice)! The drink was still yummy end enjoyable just way too sweet for my liking. I also ordered an ALMOND CROISSANT which was delicious, flaky, and a good sized serving. NO INDOOR BATHROOMS. But there is a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating at this location as well as a SMALL DRIVE THRU. They do have a LOYALTY program here which is nice to earn points towards eventually redeeming a free drink. Overall a great experience but I'd still rate 4 out of 5 stars because there's no restroom and because of the drink quality. Something to also note: this is a high volume location on the weekends.

The shop has a cute ocean and beach theme throughout, which gives it a fun atmosphere. The space was smaller than it looked online, and it seemed like most people preferred using the drive-thru over ordering inside. Even with several baristas working, the wait was a little longer than expected and took close to 20 minutes for our drinks. Overall, it was a good first visit although the drinks were slightly sweeter than I would have liked.
We bought caramel cold brew, sandy blonde, and strawberry smoothie. I came in and placed the order on the counter. Less than 10 minutes of waiting and the drinks were ready to go. I forgot to take pictures of the drinks but I did take a picture of the inside counter. It's well-lit inside, plenty of seats, and they have merchs available for purchase. The place has a very casual and laid back vibe! The drinks were great! Coffee was refreshing and a nice pick me up for the afternoon.
I really love latte with macadamia milk and although this is my first time trying at this place, I tried their signature, which is Maui latte and Maui milk is their signature milk even though I'm not sure if it's using macadamia milk or not but let's pretend it is. I think the sweetness is OK. It could be a little less sweet. Maybe next time I would ask for a less sweet like 75% but other than that it's perfect. I can't wait to come back to try their other drinks because they have a pretty big menu for a coffee shop. Hopefully, they will expand their food menus because I love Hawaiian pastries too. All the stuff who worked there are very friendly and smiley. They have a pretty cool set up inside and they offer drive thru too!

Been wanting to try McKenna Koffee for some time now, and im so happy today was the day! Quick trip through the drive thru. Very friendly staff. Took order quickly and efficiency. Music was playing outside, art work and fun quotes on the menu/building made you feel kinda like you were on a little vacation. Coffee was so flavorful! We got the Maui Latte with cold foam and Cabo San Lucas latte both iced. You can taste the quality. We will be back, would love to dine in next time for the full experience and try some treats! read more

Love the drinks and the atmosphere. The business seems to have employed half of the students from VPHS. At any given time there are roughly 15 kids behind the counter and they are pumping out drinks extremely fast while being extremely friendly. Very pet friendly too. read more

Such a great find. This Hawaiian owned coffee spot definitely stands out. The drinks are delicious, smooth, flavorful, and made just right every time. You can really taste the quality in every sip. One of the best parts is they offer XL sizes, which is perfect when you need that extra boost or just want to enjoy your drink a little longer. I had seen a viral video of this place from when it first opened. I bookmarked the location and was excited to come try it when I'm in the area. If you don't want to read more of my review, this place is basically a Hawaiian Dutch Bros. If that place is your cup of tea, you'd like it here. I mean, I understand the hype: cute interior, cute drink names, cute logos and designs, and a nicely lit interior. If I had to choose between Starbucks, Dutch Bros, and this place, I'd come here. If I could choose a coffee shop with real brews, I would go there and wouldn't come here. The coffee is subpar and full of milk and sugar like the other reviews have said. I couldn't taste any coffee beans. I had ordered the Cabo San Lucas after being recommended it. I'd love it if I wasn't a coffee fanatic. I'm really disappointed with how much sugar and syrups were put into it. My fiancé got the shaken espresso and even he was off out by it. We also tried their sausage burrito, which was not worth it. The service is also okay. I liked the cashier the most, but the workers here don't smile at you even when you excuse yourself for being in their way. Again, I'd rather get coffee elsewhere or brew my own coffee at home with my Breville. read more
If you're looking for good coffee, this isn't it. If you like your syrup with a splash of coffee, this is the place for you. I'm not much of a sweet latte/coffee person. This is the Hawaiian version of Dutch bros. They have a variety of drinks and flavors that it is a bit overwhelming. Service was great and fast. The bar was filled with plenty of baristas so it pretty efficient. They have some food options like a breakfast burrito as well but small portioned. There isn't a lot of seating inside and there is some seating outside with umbrellas. However I came on a windy day so there was limited seating inside. I'd say personally this isn't a place I'd come back to for coffee, but isn't a bad place for a coffee fix. read more
Makenna Koffee is a great addition it OC! This coffee shop is so cute inside, has a quick drive thru, and the sweetest baristas. It is super similar to Dutch Bros in my opinion, as they have coffee, blended drinks, energy drinks, teas, and more. On this trip I tried their banana chocolate macadamia nut latte with Maui milk (basically a creamer that tastes like vanilla ice cream). I found that drinks here are pretty sweet so if that is what you are in the mood for, I definitely recommend! read more

Visited Makenna Koffee once the inside opened as it seems like a lot of people have been anticipating this. Prepare to be a bit overwhelmed as they have a ton of menu offerings and customizable options. The staff was super friendly and nice as they took and delivered orders. I had a basic iced soy latte with honey cause I wasn't trying to sugar load. After a couple sips felt the espresso was extremely dominating so I asked for a short drizzle of Maui milk on top. They made the addition no problem and it made all the difference. Was super happy with my drink which was espresso forward with a slightly creamy consistency. Overall fun spot and I can see how people like this joint. read more

Tried The Legend which is vanilla latte/caramel macchiato and almond milk. My husband had the Honey Bee Latte which is coconut, honey, splash of Maui milk and Carmel drizzle. Both were very good more on the sweeter side but next time I'll ask for 1/2 the sweetness. Staff is very helpful and answered all our questions and offered suggestions. read more

Amazing coffee and even better service! Finally got to swing by the new location in Orange and I was not disappointed. The location is a good size with both indoor and outdoor seating. The decor and setup make it a place you want to spend some time relaxing in. The workers were so incredibly nice, from the warm hello as soon as you walk in to the sincere thank you and well wishes given as they handed off my drinks, every person you interact with has such a positive energy and it makes a huge difference. I ordered a Cabo San Lucas and it was really tasty, not overly sweet but lovely flavor, it doesn't have a strong coffee taste so if you like your drinks strong I recommend adding a shot. I'm so glad this location opened up and I'll be back soon to try more offerings! read more
Just opened near my job and already a favorite. Tried the Maui Latte from Makenna Koffee Company and it was amazing--smooth, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet. Came by around 7:16 AM with no line, the staff was super friendly, and the space was clean and spacious. I didn't wait long at all for my drink, which is a huge plus in the morning. What a grand opening-- this place is consistently busy! Glad they've figured out the drive thru traffic. Things to note: the hours listed say open at 10a but signage on the door says 7a-3p. Also, their main area is still closed. Hoping it opens soon! So keep an eye out for time changes etc. Now the coffee-- I have a very coffee forward preference but was not mad at Makenna's delightful dessert coffee as the Maui with cold foam was exceptional! I probably will add a shot or two next time but can't wait to try more of their flavors. Everyone was super friendly-- though it did feel like they could have another employee or two to help move things along-- but everyone was hustling. read more
You know a shop is poppin when cars line up around the parking lot and from the street like an In & Out. This place has been busy since it opened and I thought it would take me months to finally get to try it. My husband surprised me by getting one before work yesterday. It was the day before Valentine's Day so he got the special "Berry in Love." It was as sweet as he is. I see a lot of options on the menu that I want to try. My litmus test for a good coffee place is how they make a Spanish latte or a regular hazelnut latte. Those are my go-to drinks and I like them strong. If I don't taste the espresso notes, then it ain't real coffee to me. I look forward to trying more of Makenna. read more

The lobby is open...I repeat...the lobby is open!! There are cute couches and tables in the lobby. Plus the additional outdoor seating. And there is always a different playlist going with great music. Admittedly, I have been here at least once a week since they have opened and some weeks more than that. However, I have vowed to try a new drink during each visit. And have you seen their expansive menu?!? It's going to take me a while to get through them all so I guess I have to keep visiting. I tried to go grand opening weekend and it was wayy too crazy busy. I finally had the opportunity to try it now that hype has died down a little. The inside seating was open and it was super cute inside. The line inside appeared to be short than the drive thru line. The drive thru line is challenging because it blocks the parking in the parking lot and a lane on the street. I ordered the Maui Latte with Kona Cloud. I highly recommend the Kona cloud if the drink doesn't have it include it. There were so many options to choose from. read more

Was passing by, an employee, i believe her name is Kaitlyn was working outside at the drive thru. She was really chill & talked me into trying the Maui iced coffee. She followed our company Island Poke UUKi on instagram, so i bought into the Maui drink. Then some other girl walks up to you and personally hands you your drink! Maui Iced Coffee taste great! Tried Makenna Koffee today and overall had a really good experience. I ordered the Surfer Girl and my partner was planning to get a cold brew, but they had just run out by the time we ordered. It wasn't a big deal at all though. The guy working there was super nice and replaced it with another drink, which still tasted great. The service really stood out. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and they even gave us a free coffee for next time because of the inconvenience, which was really appreciated. The Surfer Girl was very sweet but also really flavorful, so if you love sweet drinks this one is definitely for you! The drive through line was insanely long, but it was the weekend so that was expected. We ended up getting down instead. Overall, such a cute little coffee shop with great service. It's their opening week. It's been getting all the talk and hype on social media. We waited on a Sunday afternoon in the drive-thru line which took us an hour from the time we started to when we got our drinks. The workers seemed energetic and pumped. It was good vibes all around. It gives you the feel of Dutch Bros but instead of the windmill you're swapping that for the palm tree. The cold brew was a bit too acidic for my preference on the coffee. But do like the variety of choices they have with lavender and misc choices. Their "Maui milk" is also a signature for their items. This place originated in Simi Valley. It's the first location here in OC that I know of. read more

I visited on a Monday early afternoon and it wasn't super busy. The vibes were immaculate and the menu is extensive. The barista taking my order was really personable and friendly. I ordered the Kona Cloud Chai and it was really good but didn't have a super strong chai flavor. I would definitely come back to try another drink because the staff and the menu were enough to keep me going back. read more
