The rudest staff I've ever met and literally for no reason. It's like they live to make you suffer. They're given a job to help people in obtaining parking permits to park in their own street but they make all sorts of unreasonable requirements to make sure you can't get one. Really surprised and unfortunate to see such rude people nowadays. Makes me wonder how would they like it when they were the one getting treated that way. read more

well at first I thought this place would be horrible according to the reviews that I read before on yelp as well as on Google. When I got here it wasn't too crowded and even though the staffs aren't very friendly because I know that they are busy working, they did treat me with respect and they are very straight to the point which is the best thing that they could do. Wish I could give no stars. This town has given me such a hard time with parking that I'm moving elsewhere. They even went as far as to uphold a fifty dollar parking ticket I was issued for a night I had purchased a parking pass. I fought it with proof and they still are making me pay. Such an unfriendly and unhelpful town. I'm not giving them anymore of my money. So beyond disappointed. Screw Pasadena parking. read more

No one likes the parking office, but for my move they gave me clear instructions and everything went as it should. I called them to find out exactly what I needed to do to reserve parking for my movers. The website is not clear, but they were very clear over the phone about moving vehicles, parking permits, overnight permits, etc. I used Zippy Shell, so you go through this office for that, if you are using a traditional pod, you have to go through public works, FYI. They told me as long as I filled out the form and got to them at least 24 hours before my move, I would be good to go. I filled out the form online, took it to their office to get the temporary no parking signs, paid $27 for 12 hours of reserved parking, and then I was out of their. They instruct you to call a number on a bottom to parking enforcement so that they can actually enforce your signs. I did that as well. On the day of my move, someone parked in the spots so I called parking enforcement and they came right away to ticket and tow. The parking office is never fun, but in my situation they advised me well and quickly took care of any issues. read more

You would get no stars if i was allowed that. I moved to pasadena and got a ticket for overnight parking in front of my residence. I was confused as to why so i contacted the parking violations office and the rude woman stated that its parking ordinance and that the sign is posted when you enter pasadena as a whole. WHAT!?!?!? Its been over 3 years PASADENA since jhamblen@cityofpasadena.net wrote a letter informing people of this ordinance and you have yet actually done your job of posting signs on each street letting people know about it. Not everyone whom comes and goes in this city are aware of parking ordinances and it would be nice if pasadena used tax paying money for the correct purposes. This is thievery. If i didnt have a year lease id move. Stealing from residences is despicable!! This review is towards PASADENA PARKING ENFORCER FAZLI. This guy gave me ticket at 4AM in the morning because he was too lazy to get close enough to see the current date on my parking permit. Why would I even buy a parking permit and hide it? Is it so that I can pay the great City of Pasadena more money? FAZLI do your job right. Thank you by the way for wasting my time, my energy, and my money going around trying to get my citation ticket appealed. Now I had to write an essay to try to appeal a citation ticket that YOU IRRESPONSIBLY created. I pray I'm the only one you did this to. Otherwise, the Pasadena Parking Office I give 3-4 stars. I especially like the black guy there who is always nice, polite, and who always knows what he's doing. If your applying for any type of permit or paying for citations you would wish to always be able to get him on the counter, if not, wait until he is available. Everyone else who works on the counter acts high and mighty like they are doing us a favor when they issue a permit. We PAY for them! So thank FAZLI for getting you guys another 1 star. read more

I understand that every year at the beginning of the year, the sad people who unfortunately lead unfulfilling lives working at the parking office have to deal with annual overnight parking permits. It's a tedious process and I'm sure no one who works in there likes dealing with all the upset pasadena patrons who have to wait an hour until their number is called to deal with their permit requests. However, shame on you city of pasadena for hiring the woman who helped me today, Carolina. She is a bitter, rude broad who clearly hates her mediocre job and she will give you all the sass and is completely unhelpful as well. Apparently I didn't bring in the right paperwork with my receipt of purchase and she was so snobby about it. When I asked if the receipt on my dashboard at night would suffice and not get me a ticket, she laughed at me. I can't imagine why the city would hire a rude employee like her and then use her as a direct person we deal with face to face to get our issues resolved. She was an awful human to see at 8:30 in the morning. read more

I called on a Monday morning and spoke with Janice about my circumstances for needing a temporary parking permit. She was so patient and even emailed me a link to the applications I needed to fill out! The next morning I took my paperwork in and Joann helped me. She also was patient and very professional and in less than 20 minutes I walked out with my temporary permit. The entire experience was great and they helped me solve my problem! read more

Zero starts if I could. Their systems are appalling for the 21st century. Why would we need to reprint and redo all of the paperwork they already have on file to renew permits? Why do they think it's acceptable to give confusing and contradictory information and then yell at people when they try to follow their convoluted instructions? Unfortunately, the last time I was in the office and they promised they would mail out my permit by the 14th, what I really heard was "on the 15th you will have to call us and speak with someone about why the permit wasn't there..." sure enough, the 14th rolls around and nothing. I'm then told that the office is "overwhelmed by the amount of paperwork they have to process..." which makes sense since they are stuck in the 80s with their mail in permits and hard copies of everything. read more

I went to this office to get a parking permit as I am moving to Pasadena in two days. I called and spoke to someone beforehand to verify I had all the right paperwork, and they were very helpful. However, the lady I dealt with at the office - Lorraine - was possibly the most unpleasant, miserable person I have ever encountered. She told me to fill out a detailed form which later I found out was not needed. She also tried demanding that I make a copy of my registration when there was clearly no way for me to do that. I indicated a xerox machine 2 feet behind her- her response was to yell through a microphone - "WE DON'T MAKE COPIES" and nastily point at a sign. She was trying very hard to stop me from doing anything, and being very rude about it. I convinced her to bring me a superior, who within a couple minutes and a little more convincing, finally helped me get the permit. If you ever have the misfortune of having to go here, avoid Lorraine- she will probably try to stop you from doing what you need. I can't imagine anyone ever hiring someone like that. read more
