We have visited many times each new year The staff makes us feel likely family Location location this place is perfection for service food and an awesome view of the rose parade

You get what you pay for. Not terrible though. Breakfast came in clutch, front desk was fast, and showers were hot. It's just like an apartment, when people are walking in the hallways and closing the doors... yes you can hear it. But once you're in your room and they're in their room.. you can't hear a peep! A lot of traffic on our way to universal but the area felt pretty safe and that was most important to me.

7th Stay here. Finally stayed on that first floor room which is a special wheelchair access room; don't do it folks, the noise from the hallway, you hear everyone; yes everyone on the floors above has to pass thru to get in and out. Really could help with some sound dampening under and on the door to drown out not just the closing of the outside facing door but also the hallway noise and room directly above you will hear noise from. Staff- as always is nice and efficient in their jobs. Rooms- see my description above; I have to say I do prefer the other rooms restrooms Food- Breakfast, standard eggs, sausage, waffle, cereal, oj, milk, yogurt. PRO TIP make a breakfast sandwich with the supplied items Price for a Thursday night stay $137

    Super relaxing !!!

The alarm clock also had plug attachments available, although our devices didn't have any use for them. Only complaint relating to the room was the bathroom- the shower door in particular has a gap underneath which allowed water to splash onto the bathroom floor. We didn't use their gym nor pool however we did enjoy their restaurant at The Corner Craft.. The food at this property was surprisingly well made. The bartender with the fancy bottle opener was a far better server than the older server that was observed watching the soccer game on tv more than helping any of the occupied tables. Minus a star because one of the 3 elevators stopped working during our weekend stay

The actual rooms themselves are quiet outdated and filled with some quirks such as a sliding barn door bathroom and sparse lighting in the bedroom itself. There were a couple other issues with the room itself that made the say less than desirable, and certainly not worth the weekend nightly rate. For one, the thermostat/cooling unit in the room was nonfunctional. I lucked out by being in Pasadena in an unseasonably cool stretch, but disappointed that even basic A/C didn't come with my room. Would be a real problem for most of the summer in LA. Secondly, despite being advertised as "Mountainview", you mainly get a view of the neighboring buildings. Definitely not worth paying extra for. What's worse is that directly below the mountainview/east side of the building sits the entire A/C equipment for the hotel, which is incredibly loud. If you leave the glass sliding door to the patio open, the noise is still significant even with 30 db earplugs on. Even with the door closed, the din of the rooftop equipment is loud enough to sound like an A/C unit running in the room. Which was little comedic given the A/C or even just fan alone in the room itself is nonfunctional! Again, a sign of how dated the rooms are that the soundproofing is so terrible. This is clearly a hotel that prioritizes its lobby and conference room facilities over the guestrooms themselves. Finally, for a hotel that looks relatively luxurious, you won't even find a hot tub. For that and all the reasons above, you're better off splurging a bit more for better, or sticking with a Marriott Courtyard or even motel/inn. All of which will have more updated rooms without the quirks.

The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the staff is attentive and kind, the parking is safe, the breakfast is delicious, and they are very dog friendly. The courtyard is also spacious and inviting. I especially want to thank Brian, Sarah, Casey, Adrian, Allen, and Evelyn who helped to make what could have been a truly terrible month for us very enjoyable and hospitable. There was an issue with my landlord's payment method, and the staff absolutely could have had us leave, but they understood that this was out of our control, and they helped work with us to keep us housed while my landlord got their act together. I could not be more grateful to the staff of the Residence Inn in Old Town. Everyone from the front desk to maintenance to chefs to housekeeping was a joy to be around and made us feel like one of the family. The rooms were clean, quiet, and calming, with a minimalist, zen vibe. The bathroom was especially nice with a bidet, which is always a plus. Everything felt thoughtfully designed and well maintained. There's a bistro, bar, and restaurant right on site, which made things super convenient. I had a breakfast bowl at the bistro and it was really tasty. Parking was reasonable at $18/day with in-and-out privileges, which is hard to find in this area. Another bonus: tons of food spots and spa services within walking distance. It's also an easy drive to Pasadena for shopping or a visit to the Huntington Gardens. Overall, this place exceeded expectations. Calm, comfortable, and convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

I was in town visiting Caltech and wanted a hotel that had truck parking, a hot tub, a laundry room, and strong cleanliness standards. The Best Western Pasadena Inn met all my needs, exceeding expectations. First off, the area is clean and safe, allowing me to feel comfortable compared to some locations in LA. I also loved the rooms, which are large and clean with fridges and some of the fastest wireless internet I have seen for Zoom meetings. It allowed me to work without stress. Huge accolades for the pool and hot tub. The hot tub was clean and actually hot, unlike some hotels where the water is lukewarm. I also appreciated the staff here because they are very friendly and welcoming throughout the stay. If you enjoy having a wide selection of TV channels, this hotel definitely delivers. They do have a free breakfast, which is a nice added value, especially if you are heading out early for the day. The guest laundry room is also very convenient and a major asset for longer stays or road trips. Pasadena Hotel is officially one of my top picks! Parking: Self-parking is available for $5/hour (max $35). Note: no validation. Check-in: Quick and friendly. The front desk explained pool hours and directions. The lobby itself is a vibe; moody but cozy, featuring cool touches like vintage telephone booths, table games, a welcoming fireplace with comfy seating, and a small bar offering coffee early and cocktails later. Food: Before heading up, I stopped by BBAD (connected breakfast burrito spot). Highly recommend! The Pool: Arriving early on Sunday meant I had the whole rooftop and pool to myself for almost two magical hours. The warm, overcast morning and occasional chorus from Pasadena's parrots made it a perfect self-care escape: reading, napping, swimming laps. It did get busier closer to noon (maybe five others until then), but still felt relaxed compared to other weekend days. Or so I've heard. Drink/food service starts at noon, delivered poolside. The Spicy Margarita was delicious! Facilities: Clean space, restrooms close by, surprisingly soft towels. Con: No free water stations which is unusual for a hotel pool. Only bottled water for sale, so bring your own. Overall: My Sunday escape was top notch! I'll definitely be back. Highly recommend for solo self-care or a chill day with friends.

They had music playing and a bartender on duty, making it the ultimate spot to lounge, chill, and just enjoy the atmosphere before we headed out to a soccer match. Check-in and check-out were incredibly easy and seamless. The hotel has a great, welcoming atmosphere and a rich, historic charm. We'd definitely stay again for a quick local getaway!
