Our meals were great. There were 4 of us and we all ordered something different. The only bad part is it took us a few time driving around looking for it. Came into this restaurant 03/24/25 @4:00 pm, was greeted and sat down in a booth by Rebecca and in turn served by her too. I'm not going to go into too much detail, the negative reviews this place has are 100% accurate. The staff is rude and disrespectful, the food is overly salty and of low quality, and they also charged me a different price than what is on the menu plus an additional 4% charge just to use tap pay. 0/5 stars, stay far away from this place! read more

If you have a passion for great food and value your money, steer clear of this place! All I wanted was a prime rib as rare as a unicorn. I even asked the waitress if they had two cooks back there. I suggested one could slide it down the grill to the other, who would flip it over and slide it back. Simple, right? But no, my prime rib came out grizzly and medium well--basically, it was more well-done than my patience. Meanwhile, my girlfriend ordered chicken, and it looked like it had been through a food fight and lost. It tasted just as tragic. We're convinced they're serving pre-cooked meals because fresh food shouldn't need a resurrection. The damage? My dinner was $43 with tip, and my girlfriend's was just under $40. For that price, I could have bought a cow and a chicken and cooked them better myself! Sidenote, I've heard the casino next-door has a wonderful restaurant. Pleasantly surprised! My husband and I stopped in on our way back from Kalamazoo and I can't believe we've driven by this place so many times without trying it. Didn't get a chance to snap any photos because we were pretty hungry when we got there but we had the Oysters Pasche as an appetizer which was very good. My husband had the smoked prime rib which he really enjoyed considering he is quite picky about his steaks. I had the crawfish étouffée which was surprisingly tasty and reminded me of New Orleans. Pasche's is a great place to eat! It is located off Exit 104 located near the Quality Inn hotel and near the Firekeeper's casino. They used to have 2 locations, but the Columbia Drive location is closed. The Marshall location by the casino is the only place, but in our opinion, they have great crab cakes, great alligator bites, and unbelievable catfish! The crab cakes are lump crab. The alligator bites -- both times we have had them -- were done just right and were perfect! The last time we were there, the catfish was a smidge overcooked, but not so bad as to need to send it back. On the weekends, they have a gentleman who plays live music. Mainly easy listening music, and he is very good also. We enjoy going on Friday evenings for fish and music! My husband and I would say he mainly plays "easy listening for the over 30s crowd". Along with great food, they have a full bar and many people just come to sit in the bar and listen to the entertainer as well. Have always loved this place. I hyped it up to my mother and decided to take her out to dinner.. She decided to order the large blackened scallops. This was completely false advertisement because they gave us bay scallops... There nothing large about these scallops. I don't know about you, but I don't like bay scallops, they have a completely different taste and texture... We complained about the situation and the owner wouldn't do anything other than give us a 10% discount... I'm a little peeved about this because bay scallops are cheap as hell and they charged us $20 dollars for 8oz of bay scallops lol... I normally love this place and get great service, but this was a total disappointment. The owner needs to do BETTER! read more

Went there today right before 5 pm tonight 7-12-24 and put our order in and still 40 minutes later it was not out so we asked why. She didn't know btw hardly anyone in there and I asked to speak to the manager and she came out with an attitude and told us it's almost done. She didn't apologize or anything so we cashed out on our drinks and appetizers and left our server a good tip. Then the manager callled me a bitch right in front of about 15 people coming in the door so I called her one back . I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone read more

Pasche's has to be the best-kept secret in southwest Michigan. I don't know where the bad reviews are coming from: we've been going here for at least 10 years, and the service and food are always top-notch. Some may be put off by the location (by an economy motel) and decor (really outdated and dark). But you don't come here for the decor, you come for the food! It's one of the few places in this area that gets excellent seafood, and I do mean excellent and fresh! Everything we and our guests have ever ordered has been outstanding. Among our favorites are the fresh oysters, alligator tail, clam chowder and blackened catfish with Yvette sauce and dirty rice. We've also tried most of the other Cajun items on the menu: crayfish bisque, gumbo, jambalaya, etouffee, seafood fondue...you just can't go wrong with whatever you order. Fish of the day is frequently mahi-mahi, which is pretty scarce in this part of the world. Re price changes people mentioned, my husband ALWAYS checks the bill and we have NEVER been overcharged. Last time we visited, current oyster prices were on the Specials board and the old price on the menu was blacked out. The server was very upfront about the price change. The servers have always been really nice, upbeat, and enthusiastic about the food, and I can't believe the stories about how the owner treats them. Until a few years ago, Pasche's had a second, beautiful location on Goguac Lake in Battle Creek, which, alas, closed. Give this place a try. If you like Cajun food, you will absolutely not be disappointed. read more

After driving 11 hours we didn't want to get back into the car! So we decided to give Pasche's a try and we are so glad we did! Yes, it's a sea food restaurant, and my wife is VERY allergic to all fish, but the chefs here were very understanding and cooked here up a delicious blackened chicken Alfredo that she ate every bite of, (which is rare) and I had a Blackened Catfish and Crawfish dish that was fantastic!! My only regret is we were so busy during our visit to Michigan that we didn't have time to make it back to Pashe's! If you are staying at the Quality Inn or live nearby, you owe to yourself to have a good meal here!! read more

This place is the best. Located just east of Battle Creek right off of I-94 next to the Firekeepers casino. I am not much of a seafood eater, so I always get the steaks. The owner is a thief and a crook. Ordered oysters. When the bill came, the oysters were TWICE as expensive as the menu suggested. When I asked the manager to understand, he said that the menu prices have changed but haven't been updated for OVER A YEAR. So basically they expect the server to remember the entire menu change, and if they don't, they hold them responsible for lost revenue! Not only is this illegal but it's terrible business practice as well. I'm surprised they haven't been shut down. read more

Hubby and I found this place via yelp when in the Battle Creek, MI area. We dined in around 9pm on a Saturday. There was fairly loud live music in the bar area which we enjoyed, but it made it a little difficult to hear our conversation in the front dining room. Hubby had the Lobster Ravioli and I chose the Blackened Mahi Yvette, based on our server's recommendation. Both were very tasty and we had leftovers to take home. Only negative was trying to get a water refill ... I left my empty water glass on the edge of our table, but our server walked by several times without noticing so I had to explicitly ask for a refill. If I could give a 0 star to the owner and 10 stars to the waitress I would. The menu prices are not what is actually charged when the check comes. I was charged twice the menu price for items and when I asked about it I was told that the "specials menu" chalk board outside showed the real price. In addition, the owner Rick agreed to honor the menu price but then stated he was going to make the waitress pay. when I asked him if he was really going to do that he responded, "what do you think?" The waitress confirmed that he makes them pay out of pocket and he himself stated it is their fault and they are adults that is why he makes them pay. I was not the only one who had this issue tonight alone. Rick claims prices have gone up and he has been doing this for over a year rather than spend $4 per menu to have new menus made or stickers put on the menu with the current prices. To say that he has been charging patrons for over a year higher price than what is on the menu is criminal to then make the waitress pay the difference when a patron complains is not just criminal it is inhumane. Have driven by this restaurant on our way to the Firekeepers Casino many, many times. We finally decided to give it a try as we are seafood lovers. We were surprised to find this restaurant has a full bar and large-screen TV's and is attached to a Quality Inn so not a bad place to drink and watch sports if you're staying at the motel. The waitress was (kind of) friendly and attentive. She did her job well so, of course, we left a hefty tip. But we don't eat out to make friends. We're after good food. The three of us ordered soft drinks and appetizers. My wife had the Fried Okra which came with a cup of ranch dressing on the side. She liked it a lot. I ordered the Shrimp Seafood Gumbo (just a cup) and it was absolutely delicious. A bowl of that would make a meal for most people. Our other diner chose a cup of the crawfish bisque and loved every bite. I fancy myself a halfway decent Cajun cook but now realize I have a lot to learn...and I mean a lot. My Cajun dishes are minor league compared to the food they serve here. Then came the entrees... The wife had the grilled Salmon Fillet. It came with tasty 'dirty rice'. She raved about her fish but couldn't eat such a large fillet so she took the rest home. Me and the other diner ordered the Cajun Fish & Chips. Wow!! The 'chips' are french fries hot and fresh and a lot of them. More Cod than I could eat and cooked to perfection. Be warned the food is quite spicy but not TOO spicy for most appetites. No room for dessert this time so we'll save that review for another day. This is one of few places where you get MORE than you pay for and worth every penny. read more

I wonder if they are paying people for reviews, because myself and two co workers came here for dinner and it was disgusting. When I went back and checked the negative reviews I found that many of the complaints are the same which tells me it's not a one time occurrence. We had the gator appetizer and it was extremely over cooked. I got the Mahi Yvette and it was horrible. The crawfish had clearly gone bad and the sauce seemed out of a can and mahi definitely frozen. The asparagus wasn't seasoned at all. The crab cakes are not light and fluffy. They are minced crab meat with veggies deep fried full of grease. I will admit to being leary of eating at restaurants attached to budget hotels, but I decided to take a chance based on a handful of yelp reviews (and very few pictures). The hotel is right off of 94 (coming from downtown Battle Creek, it's immediately to your left when you exit the interstate. Stopped in for dinner around 5:00pm on a Friday evening. Only one other table was occupied when I was seated in the dining room. The dining room was wood-paneled and dark. I was greeted quickly and my drink order was taken. I decided to order the cajun hummus for an appetizer and the jambalaya as my entree. My food came out wicked-fast. And that is my only complaint - that my entree came out only four- five minutes after the hummus arrived. The food all-around was great. The cajun hummus was welcome addition to a menu heavy with fried food. They fried up long chips to dip in the hummus. And I really enjoyed the jambalaya. The portion size was enough that I was able to bring home approx. half for second dinner. Service was great. I would highly recommend it and I will stop by the next time I'm in town. read more

A little disappointing on the half pound king crab legs. Looked more like an appetizer than a meal. $15+ The legs were cut on the side of them that made for easy access to the meat. A side of dirty rice tasted spicy but thats how I like it. Also came with some beans and cauliflower and a bowl of what was suppose to be butter. Not sure what it was but it had a hint of butter flavor to dip the crab meat into. Atmosphere was nice. Candles on the table and live music from the 70's being played by a one man band. We sent it back and got a Bud Light it had the dirty beer line taste. I ordered a Two Hearted Ale and it was fine. I figured Bell's Brewing must be making sure that their beer is served with clean beer lines. Dirty beer lines is gross! The food was awesome. I had the crawfish combo.
