They did make up and give us a 10% discount and a free orange juice which was greatly appreciated. So props for that The food wasn't the worst but also it wasn't something that made me think WOW this is good. I usually don't get gravy with my loco mocos and mostly judge off the meat flavor and this one was lacking seasoning. My wife's waffle was just good nothing crazy and the chicken did taste fresh which we most definitely enjoyed. The mango syrup that came with it though wasn't too much of our liking. It tasted mostly like a mango candy syrup mixed with hot sauce. Overall our experience was alright but not the best..... I don't know if I'll make the drive out here to get some "Hawaiian" bites as I do feel there's better spots in Sacramento. Everything is all subjective to experience and ours was just alright.

My cousins and I love coming here for their May 4th Stat Wars week every year to get themed mugs and drinks. My favorite drinks here are the Macadamia Nut Chi Chi, Lava Flow, and Saturn. The drinks are strong and delicious at a good price. They serve food from 4p-10p and I'd recommend the Togarashi fries (spicy and delicious) and coconut shrimp. 10th Annual Sacramento Aloha Festival 2021…read more Aloha kākou! This year the Aloha Fest was held at the Gold Country Fairgrounds in Auburn. I've never attended the location at the Cal Expo but the location in Auburn was a beautiful park-like venue with lots of greenery outside in the open air. It was a nice place to hold the event. The weather was sunny and in the low 80's. Perfect weekend for ending the summer! Folks were out in their lawn chairs just enjoying the day. There was no shortage of entertainment (live native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander), fun workshops, Aloha merchandise, and delicious Polynesian food!!! There were resource vendor booths, educational exhibits, and an arts and crafts Keiki Korner, and lots more. Restrooms were nearby and the grounds was wheelchair accessible. We attended to watch my boss's little keiki participate on stage with the KŪHAI HĀLAU O KANOHEAOKALIKOLAUA'E PĀ 'ŌLAPA KAHIKO dance group led by Kumu Hula, Nohea Macugay. We also participated (attempted) at the Tahitian Workshop with the VAIPUNA NO TE HERE dance group led by Director, Stephanie Manuel. My daughter belongs in the dance group and was part of the workshop. -whew- what a workout. Also, saw my favorite band, Island Sunset Band, on stage. My favorite because "Unko" is a guitar player (married to Yelper, "Aunty" Ronnie B) This was a much needed coming together and made me miss the islands. That one I chose salmon and tuna with edamame. They advertise that the rice is sushi rice. Well it wasn't or if it was they did not mix it well or not enough vinegar. The rice tasted like plain rice so the plain inari only had flavor from the pouch. Also, they put too much rice which drowned out the pouch flavor even more. The other ones were okay. The fish was relatively fresh but had a slight smell. The tuna had too much red water so the rice was red. I would suggest if you say sushi rice, it should taste like sushi rice.
