AMAZING FRESH SEAFOOD "MARISCOS" This by far is the best place for Latin seafood that we've been to. The seafood is super fresh bright and looks like it just came out the sea. Not very spicy but the have an excellent selection of hot sauces to spice it up. Very recommended place to come. The complimentary ceviche salsa was also 5 stars and fresh.

We got so much food. Margaritas, edamame, empanadas, fish, fajitas. We had a ball! The drink was strong enough. The food was hot and flavorful. This place is tucked away. Its like if you know you know. I plan to go back and try some more selections.

    Free sample ceviche.

I love this place!! I feel this place is better than the Islitas on 24th street the menu is slightly different but the concept is the same. I've been here a few times and each time the food has been EXCEPTIONAL, the service is not always consistent and thats the reason i took one star away from my review. I've the garlic shrimp here before and those were straight FUEGO!! The shrimp were cooked perfectly cooked and really garlicky, they served it with some bomb ass refried beans, and a salad. Ive also had the seafood combo "Casuelita" OMG!! Its soo good, its like a Ceviche with shrimp, octopus, oysters, and another type of sea food but i forget whats its called, it has slices of onion, cucumber, and tomatoes. The only thing i dont like about the casuelitas is that the produce is not small diced and its pretty spicy they top it off wit fresh avocados. I prefer to get the casuelita to go and enjoy it at home. They have plenty of parking outside, its pretty busy on the weekends, but the food is really good, i'll keep coming back thats for sure. Check them out i think you'll fux wit it!!

We went on a Saturday night with a group of 8 + 4 kids. I think that due to their location, they don't have a lot of customers, but, their food definitely warrants a lot more customers! They are located off Florin Rd near Stockton Blvd just behind Viet Ha. There's no big sign so even as you pull into the parking lot, the restaurant is not very noticeable. But man, if you want seafood, this is the place. In fact, if you look on their menu, it's ALL seafood. You won't find your typical beef/chicken tacos, enchiladas, or fajitas. Everything that we ordered were delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly with lots of flavor. We ordered the whole fried red snapper and the tilapia and both came out crispy on the outside and not dry on the inside. The Al ajo (garlic prawns) is a must... bit oily but hey, if it wasn't oily, it probably would taste as good! The Molcajete de Marisco comes out in a hot clay pot and I kid you not, that clay pot kept the food hot for over an hour! Like I said, they were not busy, even for a Saturday night, so everything came out quick. They have kid's meal so it's a very family oriented place. The portions are family size. We ordered two fish, 2 kid's meals, drinks for 8, and 5 entrees and the total came to about $200 (plus tips) or about $25/pp...that's not bad for seafood! It's a modest place, so don't be thrown off by the decor, paper plates, forks or the poorly washed silverware.

Omg this place is amazing!!!! Literally just got back from my lunch break. It was pretty empty which I was surprised but I'm sure they get busier later. First off they give you ceviche and chips complimentary. The ceviche was the right amount of seafood to vegetable proportion and add lime! The more the better!! So already impressed. If you know me I almost never eat anything with vegetables. Very picky lol My bf ordered the shrimp cocktail. Dude that thing was bigger than his head. And he has a big head. He loved it. I had The mojarra (tilapia) which was cooked to perfection. Ame with salad which was also pretty good as far as vegetables are concerned. Also rice, beans, and tortillas. Did I mention how quick it was? The food came out in less than 10 minutes. I know it was empty but still I've gone to fast food restaurants and waited longer. Service was great.. love when you can talk Spanglish. So hard to find a good plate of actual fish So I'm really happy for my new discovery. Portions are really big so I would suggest sharing unless you are ready for a full on feast.

FOOD - Garlic Shrimp: Shrimp cooked in garlic served with a side salad, rice, and beans. The shrimp has a strong garlic taste which I like. The shrimps were not deveined which doesn't bother me too much but I know some people don't like that. 4/5 - Complimentary tostados and cerviche: Very tasty and has a good kick. 5/5 SERVICE - The young lady was friendly and professional. 4/5 FINAL THOUGHTS - I would definitely come back. The food was good and you can't beat complimentary cerviche! The food and feel reminds me of restaurants in Puerto Rico.

    Aftermath. A la kora.

We got the "special" buy one pound get the next pound free so we did shrimp. We got shrimp, sausage, corn, potatoes, and dungeness crab with the special blend in one bag. The hook and reel special blend was honestly pretty gross it was sweet, Smokey and not very buttery or salty at all. We asked for lemon pepper and extra butter to put inside(which was an extra charge) it made it a little better but I've definitely had better elsewhere. The garlic noodles were really good they had a soy sauce flavor, garlicky and cheesy. The price was pretty expensive considering I've spent $30 less elsewhere. Here at hook & reel I spent $96 The service was good. She was very kind and helpful but also wasn't very attentive. The restaurant and the bathrooms were very clean. Overall I wouldn't come back and I recommend going to Captain crab in Elk Grove it is so much better tasting and cheaper!!

When the food came out, I was surprised to find such tasty, and, large crawfish and shrimp on our table! The food was piping hot and the portions nice and big. I especially loved that the seafood came out in metal bowls instead of the plastic bags every other boil place serves their boils in. Extra points to them for being environmentally friendly! SIDE NOTE-to anyone going there 5 or more party, it's automatic 15% gratuity. JUST KNOW when someone orders to-go while dining, that to-go amount will be added to your dine in bill, of course meaning the gratuity tip will be higher on your final bill due to that to-go order added. They will not make any changes for you there if you try to apply logic. Guess you have to pretend to walk in the door to order or call in while you're sitting down to place the order to-go to avoid it being part of the total bill. Hopefully they change that system because why would you charge to-go orders as part of the dine-in to rack up the gratuity tip for an under par service!? When I questioned the server how does it make sense and she said yes we can cancel the order and call it in rather than just taking the initiative to separate the orders. Make it make sense or maybe I'm just over reacting but it does seem like a way to get more money out of folks. Receipt name said nana and she had a bit of an attitude. I know she already got her tip automatically but at least display some customer service hospitality along the way. First time trying it and likely will be sticking to crab city or boiling crab instead when I crave seafood boil.

Service was low, when greeted we were greeted promptly but there were no smiles from anyone. I hope they all do enjoy working there! We started with one server and then it jumped to another server which I did see someone else experienced also, so maybe this is the norm for the location? This was many of our groups first time here and Alex started of same way with a slight smile, but he took the time to understand our confusion and began to lighten up once he understood our order and we understood the restaurant and he was a great waiter for the evening since. Thank you for putting up with our confusion! Food- chicken wings I would come back for they are definitely my top 3 I've had from a restaurant. Myself personally I am actually not a big fan with seafood boils because I do not care for all that seasoning, so coming I was quite worried I wouldn't eat anything. Well I caved in to try it with the crawdads, and to my surprise, it is definitely lightly seasoned so I did end up liking it. So, if you do truly like a seafood boil with seasonings and kick, I wouldn't recommend this place as a go to for others, but for myself if I have a craving I will grab my crawdads here. Overall the place is crowded and busy, it's in a busy shopping center. There are a lot of people working here at one time, it just feels that no one is thrilled to work there. We went towards their late shift to closing and to be quite honest I got understand that why they may have that feeling. The manager pulled out flashlights while we were eating to inspect the window cleanliness? Great job with the cleaning, but also not the right time. Also, micro managing the team's cleaning while standing at the counter and pointing at places they are missing (we should not see the from our seats). She definitely needs to work on Leadership, not manager, skillsets, and have her participate and guide team members rather then making it look as if she is looking down on her team. This can change the atmosphere for team engagement, so the greetings are more welcoming and engaging to customers.

The seafood came with a delicious curry-style sauce that had so much flavor. Definitely one of the highlights of the meal! Our niece Maddie and youngest daughter Laila enjoyed the kids' chicken wings and fries, and Maddie also really liked the eggrolls. We shared an appetizer of crab cheese wontons, which were another hit. My mom had the garlic noodles, while I went with the fish fillet with rice and salad -- and it was all great! For drinks, Skylie had a Thai tea, while Sokny tried a Black Superman and a lemon drop. The lemon drop was unfortunately more lemonade than vodka, but hey... we still had a good laugh about it! Overall, the food was fantastic, but what made the night special was simply being together as a family. 10 years of marriage, lots of memories, and many more to come. Thank you to my beautiful wife for sharing this journey with me. I love you, Sokny!

For whatever reason I'm sure is probably because I went there late at night, the Cabbage wasn't tasting like I normally like it to be. It was really soggy, not crisp and very salty. Yet this is just one night of tasting It. Whenever I eat It is VERY, VERY, VERY DELICIOUS. So my suggestion would be don't go there to eat cabbage an hour before closing. Go during the day and you will be very satisfied. THE SERVICE WAS AWESOME. THE YOUNG LADY WAS VERY FRIENDLY, PERSONABLE WITH THE WONDERFUL SMILE ON HER FACE AND HAPPY TO HELP ME. My visit was Friday May 8, 2026 about an hour before closing.

We called to check about the lunch special and if we didn't really want this place we would have said hang up and tried another place. Once we received our food, the lady didn't add any bbq sauce and the potato salad was warm. Trip two and Three: 4/25 and 4/28 the lady with the locs is amazing and I wish I interacted with her from the beginning. After the initial interaction two weeks ago I probably would have never returned however after randomly seeing the offering on Too Good To Go App the nice lady at the store was phenomenal with her service. We had ribs each time and while I was irked the first order didn't include any I'm definitely not a drench my meat gal either. Hoping next time I get something other than BBQ but who knows what I will try next. I'm sure I'll return and the next time I will get her name
