AMAZING FRESH SEAFOOD "MARISCOS" This by far is the best place for Latin seafood that we've been to. The seafood is super fresh bright and looks like it just came out the sea. Not very spicy but the have an excellent selection of hot sauces to spice it up. Very recommended place to come. The complimentary ceviche salsa was also 5 stars and fresh.

We got so much food. Margaritas, edamame, empanadas, fish, fajitas. We had a ball! The drink was strong enough. The food was hot and flavorful. This place is tucked away. Its like if you know you know. I plan to go back and try some more selections.

I love this place!! I feel this place is better than the Islitas on 24th street the menu is slightly different but the concept is the same. I've been here a few times and each time the food has been EXCEPTIONAL, the service is not always consistent and thats the reason i took one star away from my review. I've the garlic shrimp here before and those were straight FUEGO!! The shrimp were cooked perfectly cooked and really garlicky, they served it with some bomb ass refried beans, and a salad. Ive also had the seafood combo "Casuelita" OMG!! Its soo good, its like a Ceviche with shrimp, octopus, oysters, and another type of sea food but i forget whats its called, it has slices of onion, cucumber, and tomatoes. The only thing i dont like about the casuelitas is that the produce is not small diced and its pretty spicy they top it off wit fresh avocados. I prefer to get the casuelita to go and enjoy it at home. They have plenty of parking outside, its pretty busy on the weekends, but the food is really good, i'll keep coming back thats for sure. Check them out i think you'll fux wit it!!

We went on a Saturday night with a group of 8 + 4 kids. I think that due to their location, they don't have a lot of customers, but, their food definitely warrants a lot more customers! They are located off Florin Rd near Stockton Blvd just behind Viet Ha. There's no big sign so even as you pull into the parking lot, the restaurant is not very noticeable. But man, if you want seafood, this is the place. In fact, if you look on their menu, it's ALL seafood. You won't find your typical beef/chicken tacos, enchiladas, or fajitas. Everything that we ordered were delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly with lots of flavor. We ordered the whole fried red snapper and the tilapia and both came out crispy on the outside and not dry on the inside. The Al ajo (garlic prawns) is a must... bit oily but hey, if it wasn't oily, it probably would taste as good! The Molcajete de Marisco comes out in a hot clay pot and I kid you not, that clay pot kept the food hot for over an hour! Like I said, they were not busy, even for a Saturday night, so everything came out quick. They have kid's meal so it's a very family oriented place. The portions are family size. We ordered two fish, 2 kid's meals, drinks for 8, and 5 entrees and the total came to about $200 (plus tips) or about $25/pp...that's not bad for seafood! It's a modest place, so don't be thrown off by the decor, paper plates, forks or the poorly washed silverware.

Omg this place is amazing!!!! Literally just got back from my lunch break. It was pretty empty which I was surprised but I'm sure they get busier later. First off they give you ceviche and chips complimentary. The ceviche was the right amount of seafood to vegetable proportion and add lime! The more the better!! So already impressed. If you know me I almost never eat anything with vegetables. Very picky lol My bf ordered the shrimp cocktail. Dude that thing was bigger than his head. And he has a big head. He loved it. I had The mojarra (tilapia) which was cooked to perfection. Ame with salad which was also pretty good as far as vegetables are concerned. Also rice, beans, and tortillas. Did I mention how quick it was? The food came out in less than 10 minutes. I know it was empty but still I've gone to fast food restaurants and waited longer. Service was great.. love when you can talk Spanglish. So hard to find a good plate of actual fish So I'm really happy for my new discovery. Portions are really big so I would suggest sharing unless you are ready for a full on feast.

FOOD - Garlic Shrimp: Shrimp cooked in garlic served with a side salad, rice, and beans. The shrimp has a strong garlic taste which I like. The shrimps were not deveined which doesn't bother me too much but I know some people don't like that. 4/5 - Complimentary tostados and cerviche: Very tasty and has a good kick. 5/5 SERVICE - The young lady was friendly and professional. 4/5 FINAL THOUGHTS - I would definitely come back. The food was good and you can't beat complimentary cerviche! The food and feel reminds me of restaurants in Puerto Rico.

    Aftermath. A la kora.

Ordered the kora shrimp over the phone for pick up on my lunch break. However, when I got there the waitress told me she mistakenly gave my food to a Doordasher. No biggie, I'm not one to sweat the small things. For my trouble she gave me ceviche, intended for dine-in customers. I thought that was cool. Food came out steaming hot, I loved it. Once I dug in I couldn't stop. The flavor was soooooo bomb! However....the shrimp was over cooked and not cleaned properly. Did that stop me? NOPE. because of the good service and great flavors I will return.

Can't go wrong with this venue. I highly recommend it & will be back soon when familia from Sinaloa visit!

I found Rosa Madera when searching for "queso" in Yelp...(I really was wanting some queso)…read more Anyways, funnily enough, I read through the menu when I got here and ended up getting nachos in place of the queso...that's fine though, it gave me an excuse to come back another day. It's a nice looking place inside, especially considering its general location. They were busy even at an off hour mid-week, but I can see why because the food is great and so is the atmosphere. My first visit, I tried the following: Enchilada Verde (Lunch Menu), Mini Birria Tacos (Lunch Menu), and Nachos de la Casa (with asada). They also brought out complimentary chicharrones de harina, which was especially nice because I was super hungry! My second visit I had the following: Queso Con Rajás Dip, Los Favoritos, and the Burrito de Carnitas (Lunch Menu). I ended up liking the nachos way more than the queso. I wasn't expecting the queso to just be the consistency of slightly melted cheese. I also wish they were a bit more generous with the chips since I ran out of chips way sooner than the dips. No complaints on my main dish portions though! Really loved most things I've tried. The presentation of my dishes I've ordered here, the Enchilada Verde and the Burrito de Carnitas, was great too. The chicken was just slightly too dry for the Enchilada, but the flavor made up for it. Only complaint is while the service was nice, it was SO slow both times I've been here. It took forever to get the check and when they did bring out the card reader you can't see the receipt, only a total. Then their lowest automatic tipping button is set at over 22% (with two higher percent options), which is honestly crazy to me since most places start at around 18%. I way overtipped on accident the first time I came. I think it's highly likely they get overtipped for this reason, which is nice for them but kind of not fair to the customer. I'll continue to return!

The consomme was made from the broth used to slow cook the beef used in the quesabirrias. The quesabirrias were delicious when dipped in the consomme. They were swerved with onions and cilantro on the side, however would have benefited from more veggies. The carne asada nachos were yummy! The nachos contained tomato, onion, cilantro, guacamole, jalapenos, radishes, carne asada, and cheese under fresh tortilla chips. All the ingredients were of high quality and tasted delicious together. Complimentary chicharrones de harina were served with hot sauce. This is the first time I've been to a restaurant that served complimentary chicharrones de harina. Chicharrones de harina are a Mexican snack that are made from fried wheat flour. Service was good as the workers were friendly and polite. They were short staffed so service was slower than if they were properly staffed. It was surprisingly busy around 2pm on a weekday.

I was missing the zucchini and guacamole; I think that would have added to the overall flavor. The corn tortillas were stale, so that was yuck. I have read that they are homemade (?) If they were homemade, ours were made the day before. They were definitely not fresh. I visited this past Saturday and it was quite busy inside like it always is. The restaurant is large enough to fit a lot of people, so finding a seat isn't an issue. To order, you line up in front of the register and wait until they call you. Once it was my turn, I ordered a Super Burrito with Al Pastor, which is my favorite protein choice there. Usually I order 2 tacos with my burrito but I was saving room for Korean bbq that day! The Super Burrito comes with your choice of meat, rice, beans, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and cheese. I also ordered a medium pineapple agua fresca, which paired perfectly with my burrito. After ordering, you're handed a number to take to your table so the servers know where to bring your food. As I'm waiting for my food, I helped myself to the self-serve chip bar. The chip bar is my favorite thing about the restaurant besides the food and quick service. I always get loads of both the white and red pickled onions, and some salsa to go with my chips. They offer many sides to choose from so that anyone can customize their meal to their liking. The pickled onions have the perfect level spice and acidity to them which helps with cutting down the greasiness you may get from a burrito. I also like to snack on them for fun too! The food comes out extremely quickly. When I finished placing my order and brought my number to my table, I went to the self-serve bar right after to get some chips. Not even 2-3 minutes later, I came back to my table with my burrito already there! The burrito was absolutely delicious and piping hot. It's the perfect size for me and eating it with the pineapple agua fresca and some chips makes it a perfect meal! Coming to La Favorita Taqueria is always a treat and I appreciate the quick customer service, self-serve bar, and delicious food! I highly recommend the Al pastor as your protein choice and honestly you can't go wrong with anything on their menu!

They didn't just walk by like frazzled, hurried workers like most restaurants pushing through the crowds. They actually gave me a nice smile and said welcome, and then walked by. And then I got to the reception area found that there was already a pretty big crowd at around the 5:30 PM or so I guess a lot of early birds come to eat there on Sunday. The receptionist asked for how many and said you'd be like a 20 minute wait and there was chairs where people were waiting but it was only like a 15 minute wait. The server was fast with the chips and salsa and ice water and then soon the waiter came and took my order. He was really quick and witty, fun to talk to. What I really enjoyed was as the noise of the table Near quieted down and they left. I saw a young man cleaning up the table and getting it ready for the next group of people. He was dressed really nice and had a tie on. Having been in restaurants most of my life I said to myself, I bet you he works with the owners or something. And I said to him, are your related to people that own the place ? he said my parents own this place. He was very friendly and polite. He told me a tiny bit about the restaurant and how everything had been since 1970, much older than he was, he was only a sophomore in high school I think. I never really got his name, but I was kind of proud of him because he was working hard at his family's restaurant. I ordered probably something bigger than I could eat because I had to take leftovers home, but it was really a tasty meal, and they're coming out with more chips and salsa without being asked, probably didn't help as well as a second lemonade. It's really impressive when you have a well oiled machine and it appeared to me that the people that worked there seem to be happy so that's always a good sign of good management. Several years back, I worked in the restaurant industry doing maintenance and repairs so I went to a lot of different restaurants and saw a lot of things so I know what to look for. I'm definitely gonna come back when my brother and his wife come up from the Bay Area my friend Ivan he'll wanna go there for lunch or dinner I know.
