Having run a retail service business myself for 28 years, I have to say this shop should be avoided at all costs. I brought in a 25 year old vehicle that was running quite fine save for the fact that it was leaking transmission fluid. I brought the car into Pasqual where he agreed to source a used transmission pan and install it with new fluid. I received a call from Pasqual telling me that after changing out the pan, the car would now no longer move. He advised that they dropped the pan numerous times in hopes of finding something amiss. He said he exhausted all possibilities and he advised that a used transmission would cost between $5,000 and $7,000. Pasqual charged me $500 for the used pan, fluid and his time, remember, car drove in on its own. I had the car towed to another shop where it took them 45 minutes to determine that this used pan had an upward curve that was pushing against the filter and pick up tube. On top of this, the fluid that was removed, totaled no more than 5 quarts, and it was the wrong fluid at that. Two days after towing the car out of Pasqual's, I drove it back to let them know what the issue had been. Pasqual literally said "Wow, that's something." Pasqual Sr. Was not in the shop. Two weeks later, I stopped in to see Pasqual Sr. I asked him if he would make good on any of the bill or at least cover the towing. I think I was being MORE than reasonable. He could have paid me back $200 and still have covered his costs for the used pan and fluid. He would simply have to eat the charges for his incompetent work. He declined to do even that. So here I am, a very disgruntled customer posting my first negative Yelp review. read more

I've known Pasquale for decades, and he and his son are honest and fair. They would rather you have the job done right and fix what's needed over selling you what you don't need. They actually diagnose the vehicle other than throw parts at it. They are fantastic people to have in the community. read more

This place is Aces . One of the the best in Rockland County. They are very honest stand up guys and they will take care of all our car needs they have been in business over 20 years Father and Son. Called to make an appointment for inspection sticker he gave me the apt for the same day. When I arrived there was no wait and he was done on less than 10 min. Horrible mechanic. The old guy is a huge ripoff. Overcharged us and did not even complete the job. Save yourself and go elsewhere.

Went there today to get a requisite insurance inspection. Great Dad and son. Funny guy (the Dad). A tad rough around the edges, yet very accommodating. If my vehicle needs service, I'll go there again. Keep up the good work. read more

Worst car repair in Rockland County. Brought car in for repair, was given diagnosis and cost. Told would be ready next day. That turned into a week and an additional five hundred dollars. Turns out they 'discovered' another issue and decided to attend to it without even letting us know there was a change in the plan or if we agreed to the additional work.. Highly recommended. I usually do my own repairs, but my alternator gave out and I was in trouble. I walked in and Pasquale said he would take care of me. I'm out of state and 70 miles from home. Anybody else would have gouged me. His son gave me the "magic box" to attach to my battery so I could drive it to his garage. Zero towing charge. Then he ordered the proper alternator (had a choice of 2, but removed the old one first to find out). Had me on the road less than 3 hours later, for LESS than it would have cost to tow me home. .Scammer! I brought the car there for the simple reason that I was told there were no storage fees after my accident in NY when I lived in NJ. Said there were no storage fees and continued to stall looking at my car. For weeks he dodged my calls and used the excuse that it was snowing, his lot was full and he was busy, not to worry he would fix the car. I have ALL OF THE TEXTS to prove it! When he realized he couldn't get money from insurance and that the car was totaled out and that it wasn't worth it to fix it (according to what he told me, but my engine was brand new) he suddenly sent me a bill for 3k and told me I couldn't get my car back!! HE HELD IT HOSTAGE and said he would not release it unless I paid him. Now, two years later I am getting BOGUS letters from an abandoned lot and a FAKE LEIN company that I owe money or my car is up for auction. HOW did my car randomly get to this lot?? hmmm.... I NEVER approved of storage fees and the reason my car was there so long was because he purposely STALLED fixing it. HE LIED and said not to worry and when he realized I didnt want him to work on fixing the car ...he sent me a BOGUS FAKE BILL for storage and STOLE MY CAR! thank goodness I now am following up with an amazing lawyer! Not to mention the family is KNOWN (I was referred there by an ex family friend who told me this is now why they no longer speak) for purposely flipping/ crashing cars to get money for insurance!
