They were very unsatisfactory. So I came into the office and talked to Blake I dropped the car off. They called and told me what it needed . Turns out the other shop really manhandled and butchered the wires and plug from the wiper motor. That's why it kept turning off and overheating. It also sounded like a meat grinder. So they put in a new motor and it sounds perfectly quiet the way it should be. They also fixed the wipers and put them back in the park position. Danny Blake and Chris were great. Great service, really did try to treat us like family and got to know our names. I had a weird sound coming from the bottom of my 2015 Mazda 3, and had an inkling it was my suspension. Caesar was able to fit me in, and diagnose my car within 2 hours (it was Saturday). I came back in and he was able to walk me through a rough estimate with what needed to be fixed, and why he felt it was necessary. He visually inspected my car, and gave me some valuable advice as I was considering on getting a new car vs fixing this one. He was timely with his estimate even though it was after hours, and was transparent with what parts he was using which made me more confident in his work. Originally I was a bit skeptical that it was my full suspension, but given the age of my car, I knew it needed to be replaced regardless. Caesar and team worked to get my car fixed the next day (Monday, since I came end of day Saturday) and I am SO grateful for him being able to fit me in and complete the job quickly. He was accurate in his timeline, and when I picked the car up, it really did feel like a brand new car. I feel like I'm floating in ways I didn't know was possible in a car!!!!! Bobby and his buddies have a whole formula for making their "customers" (victims seems a more apt term) feel like they're being taken care of: by giving you something inconsequential for free, and making you feel as if they're incredibly generous and working from the goodness of their hearts, or by complimenting you in the most generic fashion. Once they've gained trust, they often proceed to exaggerate problems in the car, implying they are of the utmost urgency. In the process of fixing that "problem," they're likely to "discover" something else, which they suggest is even more urgent (and expensive) than the original problem. They proceed to exorbitantly overcharge for all of these expenses. Here are two brief examples (of many) from over the years: In 2014, I had them replace a timing belt on my car, upon their insistence it needed to be replaced. Within 1,500 miles of driving, the timing belt had been completely torn to shreds as a result of their shoddy installation. They refused to replace the belt until my parents -- far more loyal customers who have hemorrhaged tens of thousands of dollars to them over the years -- threatened to stop patronizing the place. Only then were they willing to admit culpability and compensate me for their shoddy work. Then, in 2024, I noticed a charge on my credit card for approximately $850 from Park Ridge Auto. I called them, asked why they had charged me, and they informed me that it was a mistake -- they had meant to charge my father's card for work they'd done on his car. They apologized and informed me that they would fully refund my card. When I checked back two weeks later, I saw that the refund issued was $42.60 LESS than the original charge -- I was paying $42.60 for their mistake. When I proceeded to call them to ask why they didn't refund me in full, Bobby informed me that this was the credit card fee, and that the credit card fee wasn't their responsibility. They refused to issue this refund until my mother once again threatened to no longer do business there. When I showed up to get the $42.60, Bobby handed me 42 singles in an envelope. When I asked him if they had any twenties, he simply responded, "Go over to the Burger King, get change over there." The smoldering look in his eyes read plain-and-simple: "Fuck you, kid." I was 32 years old. Places like this reinforce negative stereotypes of mechanics as swindlers and thieves. I strongly recommend you stay away.

Following the event, I dropped my jeep off the next week for inspection of my vehicle for any undercarriage damage i may have sustained. They performed the survey, tightened my shocks and springs to the proper torque and aired up my tires to the proper air pressure at No Charge! After a nasty encounter with a mechanic (slim w/long hair) called me an idiot and that I don't listen, I was taken aback. Keith nor Jamie were at the shop at the time. When they returned, I explained what had happened and they promised to address it. Needless to say, they NEVER did. Also, the mechanic who called me these things was completely wrong. Furthermore, the work had gotten quite sloppy over the years. They returned my car to me and the panel under the steering column dropped off in my lap while driving. Of course I took it right back. They repaired it but should have never occurred. There were other issues albeit minor over the years, but it all added up. Basically what they lost was my trust and that of the other people I'd referred to them. Jamie specifically texted me that he had the worst first quarter ever in this current year of 2020. Maybe the way his shop handles customers is part of the loss. Everything cannot be blamed on Covid-19! It appeared that on a recent estimate, price gouging was the new order of the day. I went to another shop here in Rockland, and the price was about $125 less! They've gotten sloppy and nasty. Avoid at ALL costs!!

They did the oil change, however the next repair also would've needed a complete oil change as well to complete the repair. Instead holding off the initial oil change for when the second job was completed, I ended up paying for two oil changes within a period of three days. I learned this after he charged me $1400 for a used part off E-Bay that didn't match up with my VIN number, plus the labor, and my car was not fixed. He smugly said "Well, I passed your vehicle" and then said something in Turkish to a coworker and laughed. He then continued to say it was a transmission problem. He offered ZERO partial refund.
