Just dropped in for a to-go sandwich on a quick trip up to Erie, and what a pleasant surprise! My chicken caprese sandwich was fantastic! Juicy chicken breast, goooey mozz with chopped, roasted red peppers and spinach - YUM! The menu says it should be on toasted Asiago, but that's not what this was on. It was on a plain hamburger-style bun, but it was still good. The fries were really flavorful, too - tasted/looked like handcut. Though I didn't eat there, the place was super cute inside. This epic railroad diner car is a few miles off Interstate 90. The short detour is worth the trip. It has a small parking lot, but we found plenty of street parking. All the tables were filled when we arrived, so we got bar seats. The staff was super friendly. They offered us coffee as soon as we sat down. We both tried the egg breakfast with French toast. The potatoes were amazing, especially with their spicy ghost sauce. We loved the experience inside this clean, beautiful rail car diner. read more

I like this dinor! Cute, VERY small nice ambiance dinor. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger, which was HUGE and fixed to perfection. Potato salad was good, but sweet, which I'm not a fan of "sweet" potato salad. I've eaten here other times for breakfast, and it was always good. Be prepared for a line out the door, so don't go during high volume hours. My only complaint? The dinor is drafty, and where we were seated I was in a direct line of the draft... so I was freezing!! If I could give this place 6 stars I would. We loved it!! The chef really knows his way around the grill and the owner was great with sarcasm and humor. They greeted most of the locals with first name recognition and treated us non locals like locals. The food was made to order and delicious. If you need a substitution, you got it no hassle or up charge. They are there to make sure you enjoy what you eat. The trolly car creates a unique atmosphere that completes the experience. Went for breakfast but ended up with lunch because it switched over to a lunch menu by the time we had arrived. Upon first glance it is a cute small neighborhood place. Our server seemed to know most of the customers who walked in after us as regulars. The lunch menu reminded me of a pretty standard diner menu. The food was good. Good and quick service and food. Old trolley car. French toast food. Bacon crispy. Rust belt should've had crispier bacon and maybe a bit more cheese and a toastier bagel but it was good. Get the cinnamon roll. It's decadent and yummy. My bagel sandwich was supposed to have lettuce, tomato, and condiments and didn't have any. A bummer but yummy. The service was pretty good. There wasn't much room for the staff to get to us, but once they did, they took care of us. The reason there's little patking is because there is little seating. But people move in and out pretty quick. Worth the wait. Great Dinor! Would go again. read more

We were looking for a breakfast place for after Mass and the Dinor came up in our searches. I'm glad it did because what a delicious experience! The server and cook were extremely friendly providing suggestions and giving some information about the restaurant. Food came quickly and we watched everything be made fresh to order. I had the skillet breakfast and added a side of the Greek sauce. Filing, rich and tasty. My husband and son had omelets that they really enjoyed and were nicely sized. My daughter enjoyed some tasty blueberry pancakes. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is the space. I absolutely understand it is a historic dining car but it was really crammed. And someone who is bigger in size or who is in a wheelchair would not have been able to eat here. read more

The Hash was so Greasy it made my stomach sick! The Only thing edible was the toast! My husband had a Western Omelet and it was small and VERY Flat and Hardly anything in it ! Perfect dinor. (With an O, as it should be.) The best measure of a dinor/diner is if you get enough food for the price. And you definitely do. The waitress is the perfect balance of friendly/sassy. I only cried once though. Corned beef hash was nice and crispy, the rye toast was nice and thick (could have used 15 more seconds in the toaster). Eggs were exactly over easy. My co-diners were pleased with their pancake, and with their breakfast that matched mine. The coffee though, I thought it was significantly better than most dinor coffee. It still is in the traditional coffee-burnting carafes (didn't matter because they were busy) but the coffee is roasted locally at a craft roaster. It was wonderful. It's also in a old "train car" type building, it's tight quarters, but perfect for the experience. read more

Loved it. If I lived in Erie I would be there every morning. Everyone is super friendly. You could tell there is a local following of regulars which makes it special. The rye toast is delicious. This was an amazing find on our road trip back home! So much food! The Greek omelet was outside my normal & I'm so glad I tried it! I get rye toast with every breakfast I get, this was some of the best! House made pies!! We got them to go, Almond Joy pie & a slice peanut butter (didnt make the trip home ) I definitely want to go back to try the lunch menu. Will be a must stop on our next trip through town!
