I actually found PassionStudios at my cousins wedding back in 2018. Raymond and I instantly had a vibe connection, he's such a great guy and so funny. After seeing my cousin's wedding photos turned out, I definitely knew they were the ones to capture our wedding moments. Sorry for the delay but work and newly marriage life took over full effect, ever since we got married back in August 2019. We are so glad we chose Passion Studio for our wedding (and engagement) photography and videography. We booked them almost a year in advance of our May 2022 wedding and they have been a breath of fresh air to work with right from when we sent them an inquiry and even until long after the wedding. A picture is worth a 1000 words; Passion Studio is worth a 1000 praises. This is long overdue review for a team that has gone above and beyond. From initial chats to final delivery of images and video, Passion Studio has been nothing short of perfection. We had a small photoshoot with Hoang for our Save the Dates in Fall 2017 and he referred us to his teammates at Passion Studio to be our photography and videography crew for our wedding. Working with Raymond, Bang, Hoang and the rest of Passion Studio were one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. THE ENGAGEMENT SHOOT Our wedding was in April 2018, but our engagement shoot was scheduled for February. As you may know, the weather in the Bay Area is so unpredictable. One weekend is cloudy and drizzly, another is warm and sunny. With a close eye on the forecast, Raymond and crew were so flexible in rescheduling our engagement shoot. In fact, we re-scheduled twice and were so patient as we had to request for time off work since we ended up with a weekday shoot. While we agreed on a shoot with 2 locations and a certain number of hours, we exceeded the time limit and went to 3 locations. Our 3rd location was at Boba Guys. Boba Guys loved the pictures so much that they featured some of the shots on their Instagram! We got along so well with the crew that we even ended the night with dinner altogether! Having that friendly bond with your photographer is super important to be comfortable in the shoot and get natural looking shots. After only a few weeks later, we got the pictures of our shoot, ready for printing for our wedding. THE WEDDING Building up to the big day, we had a few rounds of emails and FaceTime sessions. We had a game plan and we were ready! On the morning of, the team of 6 (!) photographers and videographers arrived at the hotel EARLY. Half the team went to the bride's suite and half went to the groom's. My guys and I weren't even ready yet! The coordination and punctuality was already a good sign for a smooth day. We then all moved to the venue for the first look. The team worked flawlessly with the wedding coordinator to scout out shoot locations considering the sun and make sure my bride and I never crossed paths. We then took pictures with the bridal party and the crew then split up to shoot the guys and girls separately. Once the ceremony started, everything truly became a blur and the Passion Studio team worked seamlessly through our timeline. With the guys all dressed in black, we forgot they were there at times! They were able to capture all the planned and candid moments, without interrupting the flow of everything. We had a pretty tight timeline with different events scheduled throughout the evening, including family introductions, a shoot at our boba bar and time-sensitive sunset photos. Again, they worked perfectly with our coordinator to make sure everything flowed well and we didn't have to worry about anything. To top it off, our guests loved them! When it came to standing photos pictures with the bride and groom before the reception, the guys were so patient while some guests busted out their phones and iPads to take photos for one another. Typically photographers get so annoyed but Raymond even took some pictures for them using their phones! FINAL THOUGHTS Our photos and videos were ready about a month later. The files were ready while we were on our honeymoon but they purposely waited to share until we got back so we would not get distracted and could enjoy our trip 100%! Super thoughtful! And they knew we were on our trip because we follow each other on social media. Again, that's how close we became! When we wanted our video to be slightly edited to include certain footage, Raymond graciously and quickly revised the file to our satisfaction! Everything turned out beautifully! That's what you call great customer service! Passion Studio's professionalism, quality of work and eye for detail and design is above all. Their passion in their work is proof of their name. 100% recommend to anyone looking for an awesome team of photographers and videographers! While they are based in Sacramento, they often shoot in the Bay Area and sometimes as far as Vietnam! Our ceremony/reception took place San Francisco, so Bang came the night before, and to our surprise, attended our rehearsal at my church! He got to know the layout of the church and the people who went into helping making the ceremony happen. Looking back, Bang spend more time than was contracted since he stayed overnight with the men at their airbnb, and we appreciate him so much!! I didn't expect the day to pass by so fast, but Bang and his partner, Drew did and amazing job capturing the sweet moments during this special day which now I can always look back on. They are just so good at what they do, so on top of every moment - I remember I started crying as we were singing for worship, and within seconds my MOH handed me tissue, and I later found out Bang immediately handed my bridesmaids tissue to pass on to me. Raymond and his teams are super fantastic. At first, my wife and I were very skeptical about which photographer to go with and what style we like. It's was difficult, but Raymond approach at a wedding fair. He talked to us like we were family, which caught our attention. In our mind, we decided that his team will do our wedding, but we didn't tell him that. We looked at his pricing, which was decent, but his photos were the deciding factor and went with his top package. All this happen before covid hit. My wife and I felt really comfortable working with Raymond from the beginning, through our engagement shoot and even after the wedding, working on the wedding album. My husband and I really lucked out with our amazing photographer/videographer team. We met with so many photographers and although a few of them seemed really good, we wanted great. Not only did we wanted to find a photographer who was really passionate in what he did because that would mean the photos/vidoes would be amazing, but we also wanted someone who's personality would fit well with ours. After months of searching, we found Raymond (Passion Studio)! We were amazed at how artistic and patient he was with us during our engagement session. He did everything we asked for and more. All of the other photographers we had met with charged an extra fee to travel out of town for the engagement session, NOT Raymond! We went to multiple locations in the bay area for our engagement session and that took one whole day. Raymond actually met with us on another day in San Francisco because we were not able to get a beach shot that we had wanted due to the weather the day we did our engagement session. I don't know or have ever heard of any other photographer doing this at no extra charge. On our wedding day, Raymond, Bang, and the rest of the passion studio team arrived early. They actually arrived at the venue before we did. They definitely knew what they were doing. Because of them, we were able to get so many amazing photos. They were very professional and although we only paid for 10 hours of service, they stayed until the very end (11+ hours), again at no extra charge. Our wedding day went by so fast. And with all the wedding day craziness, it was hard to remember some of the small and big details. Passion Studio - Raymond was our photographer for our wedding on May 26, 2017. He was incredibly easy to work with he was organized, professional and kept everyone on time. I had a huge wedding party so I wanted an experienced photographer to be able to handle the large group and capture all our moments from start to finish. Most brides get to walk down the aisle only once. I'm one of the lucky few that got to walk down it a few times. Raymond, Bang, along with the whole Passion accompanied my husband and I pretty much every step of the way. Passion Studio did photography & videography for our cultural wedding and we used them again for videography for our Western wedding. Raymond has a great eye for his photography and video. We did a 2nd engagement shoot with him as a part of the wedding package for our cultural wedding and we were blown away by the photos. I remember for our western wedding, I had forgotten my veil and he suggested I bring it. Because of his suggestion, my photographer and Raymond got some breath taking shots and video for us on an iconic Golden Rolling Hill. His style is the perfect blend of posed and photo journalistic approach. He tells a beautiful tale with work. Talent, isn't all that Passion Studio has. But really, from Raymond to everybody on the Passion Studios team. They were all around people with hearts of gold, making them an absolute pleasure to work with. I had my share of bridezilla moments but the Passion Studios team were so patient and compassionate in their delivery. They gave their two cents in a professional manner but also maintained the integrity of the video or photo. If something we wanted wasn't going to execute properly based on their professional experience, they brought it up. With that said, you can trust that you will get honest and beautiful work from them. What I loved about using Passion Studios was that their packages were all inclusive of video, photography, engagement shoot, and you get a canvas made for you in lieu of a photo book. There are no hidden costs, extra costs for minutes. It's just straight forward. What you see is what you get. Passion Studios is also highly efficient! I believe we got our engagement photos about 3 weeks, our video was done in 4 weeks when usually they take at least 6-8 weeks. We got sneak peaks of our pictures either same day or within the next day. It was absolutely ridiculous how quick the turn around for photos and video were. In moments where my husband and I were completely lost as to what to do, Passion Studios guided us as to what we needed to do next. I don't know about everybody else, but you don't necessarily get a dress rehearsal for your wedding day. For our cultural wedding, our schedule basically went to shit. It got lost in the shuffle and we weren't sure whether to cut cake first or do the first dance. Essentially Raymond and Bang stepped in to guide us through that confusion. This is a testament to how highly experienced they were. They were able to jump in and basically be our day of coordinators for us. Lastly, I just want to give a shout out to the incredible video Raymond, Bang, and Ly produced for our western wedding. It was absolutely breath taking. The whole purpose of the western wedding was the shed all the obligations to family, friends and just be us. We wanted our video to depict only the sheer joy that we felt that day and the love that surrounded us. Passion Studios did this and genuinely moved us just the way we were moved by our day. We loved every minute of it and have probably watched it about 20 times within getting it. We cried just as hard as we did the day we got married. First of all, I must say this is my first review with Yelp. I normally do not like writing reviews, however, Passion Studios is one of the best service I had ever received, so I had too :). When I first started looking around for photographer and videoographer. I wasn't sure what I wanted or was looking for. Everything was so new to me. I reached out to a few photographers but none sparked my interest. My sister had recommended Raymond. He did her engagement photos. I then remember looking back that was 4 years ago and I absolutely loved them. I then looked into Raymond via FB and I had reach out to him. He asked me to meet him. When my husband and I first met him, we clicked. Sounds cliche but. He was so funny, nice, and sweet. He got to know us, which I really liked. I felt that everyone I ask they only gave us quotes and shown us work. I knew Raymond was a gem! He then ask one of his photographer to meet us that day as well and that was when I had met Bang. I didn't get a chance to talk to him that much, but who would have known how amazing he was til my special day. Raymond did such an amazing job on my engagement photos. That when I found out that he was booked out for a SJ wedding, I was bummed. :( However he guarantee his team will take care of my husband and I, I was skeptical at first but my gut told me to trust him . And that guys, he did live up too. On our wedding day,my husband and I got to meet Tien, Kao, and Ken. My girls and I had a pleasure working with Bang and Tien and my husband and his party was working with Kao and Ken. I must say they did an amazing job! They were so patient and kind they made us very comfortable. Working with Bang and Tien, they know how to make us girls laugh and live up. Everyone who knew me knows that I am so shy in front of the camera! But with them, I felt really relax and just opened up. My husband said that Kao and Ken was very professional and easy to work with! They are creative and patient. After the wedding, Raymond post a teaser photo and it was amazing! Every angle of the picture of the us and the bridal party was PERFECT. So perfect that immediately I text him and ask if it was ready, he laugh and said that he was working on it. I didn't know that usually it takes 4-6 weeks for photos. So then within 3 weeks he had everything hand delivered and also he offer to make a highlight video for us that was not in our contract. Sooo Fast!! That only shows how efficient he is.. THANKS RAYMOND! We gotten so many compliements and oOOos and AwWWWs! It is a great feeling that we made the best choice. I would recommend Passion Studios to everyone. Worth every penny! read more

My husband and I were looking for a videographer to document our wedding day. After researching and speaking with multiple vendors, we chose Passion Studio based on a few factors such as their impressive portfolio and experience with traditional Vietnamese weddings. Our initial meeting with Passion Studio went very smooth -- they asked about details our big day and what we envisioned for our wedding video. They also provided tips/suggestions and followed up with us prior to our wedding, to see if there were any changes. Although Passion Studio offers many different package options such as photo/video, same day edit, etc -- we only booked them for a full day's worth of wedding documentation and wedding highlight. (We had already booked another vendor for photo, prior to contacting Passion Studio). On our wedding day, the Passion Studio team was punctual and executed very well (we provided them with a timeline/schedule for the day). Their team was very friendly and kept everyone loose and energetic for the video. Turn around time for the documentation was very reasonable and Passion Studio was kind enough to ask for our input such as music and removal of scenes we didn't want to include. All in all - we loved the results of what Passion Studio delivered and would highly recommend to everyone! read more

We picked Passion Studios to capture our big day because we received numerous recommendations from friends/family and we are so glad we did! They were an amazing and fun team to work with. Raymond, Logan, and Tommy were so helpful in helping us organize our chaotic day. Even my family complemented how much they loved the team! Raymond is awesome! We had booked a last minute Holiday Photo Session and it came out beautifully perfect. He did a great job! Our photo shoot was a bit challenging because my toddler wouldn't cooperate but Raymond was that good and got great shots.
