Chuckie with tow truck #53 was superb. Chuckie kept me informed on how long it would be for him to reach my house. Once Chucki got here, he immediately started to see what was wrong with my car in order to get it up on the flatbed. When he connected the jumpbox to the battery, he was informing me that the alternator was still putting out good amps. So that was a relief to know that before the Mercedes dealer tells me what was going on with the car. Chuckie took pictures before he put it up on the flatbed as well as texted pictures when he got it to the dealer. This morning on my way to work I hit a pothole and blew out my tire. My husband worked. To far out from where I was so I used my Mercedes roadside assistance ( thank God I have it). They reached out to Past and Present Towing. My wait time was listed as 120 minutes. yeah 120 minute. so I'm thinking where the heck are they coming from and what am I getting. I was also told that the company towing my car would drive me to a location to be picked up by an Uber. So what am I going to do for 2 hours Sitting in the side of the Highway? Anyway, I started receiving txt messages from roadside assistance and then my tow company. He gave me updates as he got closer coming from Laurel, MD to Essex, Md. He sent me a txt to allow me to share my location. you always think the worst when you have to call a tow company. Am I getting ripped off? Are they going to destroy my car? You know, all the scary details. By the time the tow company got to me my husband had arrived to pick me up as well. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprise. Donnie and Cameron came to my rescue in their shiny white truck. They we're super nice. Cameron was in training Donnie had explained. So Cameron hooked up my car on the truck while Donnie explained the details. They were both kind, courteous, well spoken and dressed for safety. April 2, 2020 my engine blew in the middle of West Virginia 301 miles away from home. I called my mechanic and he suggested I call past and present and see if they could help being my hone is 20 minutes from their shop. Called and a driver was dispatched immediately. Waited for the expected time of arrival being that it was four hours away. Surprisingly they went that far! The driver was professional and courteous.. even after that long drive! Then it was a five hour return trip - hauling a vehicle adds extra weight therefore extra time. No worries though I was just happy to get back home. It was a little expensive but that was due to the distance of the run. And it was my choice to do it. Definitely getting home was worth the wait and cost. read more

PREDATORY TOWING: BEWARE!!!! After a long shift at work my car started to act up. I pulled over to the side of the road and had my insurance company call for a tow truck. I called at midnight. My car was towed and delivered to my house at 2:30 in the morning. I walked out, thanked the driver, and asked if we were all good. My insurance only covers a specific amount of miles and I suspected I was a few miles over my limit and had to pay the difference. I had my debit card in my hand and asked the driver if he needed me to sign anything/ pay. He told me he only needed to take pictures of the vehicle but that we were all good. Awesome. It was 3 AM so I finally fell asleep. I woke up to a bunch of texts and calls claiming I needed to make payment. My car was also missing. I needed to settle of $20 fee that the driver never brought up. It was late, so I assumed we would work out any fees in the morning because the driver told me I was "all good". So they stole my vehicle from me and brought it to Laurel (I live in Glen Burnie area). After calling the company they informed me I now had to pay a $600 impound fee after they STOLE MY CAR. I went down there and raised hell, got them to lower the price but not back to the $20 fee the driver NEVER asked me for. They waited for me to fall asleep and then STOLE MY CAR. my truck's brakes failed in my driveway, so I had to ditch it down a hill and in my back yard. it was about 100 feet from the driveway. Past and Preset sent Donnie(sorry if I got the name wrong) over to help me. He was super knowledgeable, helpful, and just an overall good person. If I could have left a 0 rating, I would have. Unfortunately I was provided with this company for road side assistance through my insurance. I was a stranded today and placed the call to my insurance for assistance. This company dispatched a driver soon after, with a short eta. After an hour passed, I called for an update. Was told that the drives gps was out but was assure that the driver was on the way. Called back after 1 1/2 hours as the mechanic shop is now holding the doors open for me at this point. Now I am told that the drivers phone went out & they turned back to go all the way back to the shop. At this point, it was clear to me what type of company I am dealing with. The manager whom "assisted" provided NO sense of customer service, not even a sorry for the hold up. I was provided with a million excuse such as, "Well the drives technically gets off at 4pm." I did not call looking for a favor, only service that I pay for. Still stranded, looking for an alternative due to this company and their lies. Being an handicap older woman getting good service I have found is not always easy. The truck came on time and was very good at loading my car on the bed. The young man "Jimmy" was helpful and very polite. He rode me to the dealership where I was sending the car. I noticed how clean the truck was it was empressive. Jimmy made very nice conversation and wished me well. I was so embarrassed I had no money to tip him. He politely said that's okay. I asked him for a card so I could send him a tip. What would have been a 5 star review has quickly gone down to a 1 star review after my experience on 06/16/2021 with a night time driver over the phone over. I'd spoken with him earlier to see if my vehicle was still there and he was pleasant, helpful and explained to me that my lien holder has gotten it and to speak further with them. After speaking with my lien holder they let me know that the impound (Past and Present) notified them to get the vehicle, which they weren't coming to collect because my note was current. I called back to and asked the night driver why did someone from their lot authorize this when I communicated that I got the police release and could not get there until this weekend. My tone was frustrated but I was not hostile nor did I accuse him of doing this as I know it wasn't his fault I just wanted clarity because I don't understand the process and getting two different stories. He took my frustration personally and told me "Back up, I'm just the night time driver. You're coming at me hostile. It's not my job to give you the information I gave you but I was being nice" and proceeded to rant to me along the lines of me being rude and ungrateful even though I told him I knew it was not his fault and I said I just don't understand the process. All he needed to do was tell me to call back tomorrow for a CSR instead of being a horrible human being. I didn't appreciate his unwarranted hostility and lecture and told him the company needs to let him stick to driving and not customer service because he is sh*t at it. He then told me that I wasn't raised right and didn't have a father figure in my life since I chose to use a profanity and hung up on me. I have been trying to call back to speak with a manager but he is screening my calls and not answering. Hopefully management will see this review and get a night time CSR instead of letting drivers do it. read more

I was having the car towed from a shop that we became very concerned with so we had to pay out of pocket as our insurance paid for the original tow. $200 for a 23 mile tow. I was assigned P&P Towing by Mercedes roadside assistance after I got a flat tire and couldn't drive on the run-flat tire. I was in Cheverly, MD and waited about 30 minutes which was fairly quick in my opinion as this was during the beginning of rush hour traffic. The driver, Charlie, was very friendly and courteous. He even walked me into the service department at the dealership to make sure someone helped me asap and suggested the quickest route to get home once I had my courtesy vehicle. While I hope I do not get another flat tire, if I do, I hope to be helped by a tow service as professional as P&P Towing. read more

I used their services twice this weekend. Their dispatchers were very professional and kind every time I called and they made everything go smoothly with transporting my car since they kept detailed information so I didn't have to keep explaining to each dispatcher what I needed. Both drivers arrived quickly (within 30 min, if not sooner), gave me courtesy calls to let me know where they were, and were helpful. Past and Present Towing towed my vehicle for blocking a driveway. It was dark and in a neighborhood where not all of the houses have driveways, so it was my fault, but an honest mistake. When I called to inquire about my car the gentleman on the phone informed me that I would have to wait until the next day to retrieve my vehicle because they closed at noon. Records show that the car was towed at 11:55am, so when I inquired about that the gentleman on the other side of the phone thought it appropriate to laugh and say "Well I guess you shouldn't have been blocking that driveway." Completely rude and unprofessional. Now I don't know this guy's name, but he was the same guy that released the vehicle to me the next day. He said they would open at 8am but of course he was late. I don't know his name but he was a heavyset guy with glasses. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Chris wasn't available so I got Donnie to tow my E38 740i to it's hopefully final destination to have work done. Donnie is a cool guy. Knew damn alot about cars. I almost asked him to adopt me. Anyway, as usual, Past and Present Towing came through like a champ. You could tell that Donnie knew what he was doing. I'm just talking about towing but quite the pro on the road as well. Got to gaithersburg with no problems from my house in NW. He even made sure I knew how to make my way back home before he left. My experience yesterday was very disappointing. Around 1630 est I hit a large pothole on I495. This popped and began to flatten my tire. Since I didn't not feel safe waiting on the side of the highway I slowly drove off of an exit and found a bank to park at. I was too scared to attempt to drive to the closest bmw dealership so I called USAA and was sent to an automated line. Then I was sent a link to fill out my info. After I spoke with a rep I was sent a text saying that the "Past & Present Towing" company would arrive in 120 min. At this point if was 1730. I was worried about being alone in an empty lot in the dark so I called the Towing company to ask if it would in fact take 2 hours for them to come to me. The rep informed me that it may take that long because it was a busy night, but "hopefully " it wouldn't. At 1900 I called the company again to see what their drivers status was. I was told that he was working on other tow jobs and wasn't even on his way to me yet. Then the rep said to give it another 40 minutes. At 2000, I hadn't heard back from the towing come. I was cold, scared, and running out of gas. So I decided to take my chances and drive 8 miles on the flattened run flat tire to the dealership. After 30 minutes, I made it to the bmw parking lot. I called USAA and canceled the roadside ticket. After filling out the drop box paperwork to leave my key i called a friend to take me home. I arrived home at 2139. The tow place NEVER called.
