This is of our favorite local restaurants and after going again this weekend, it got even better. They had a special this weekend with risotto and fish on top and some kind of mushroom pate maybe - it was fabulous! I wish I took a photo of it. I told the manager on my way out to definitely add risotto to their menu. We got a dessert to go because after sharing a soup, salad, fresh bread, a bottle of wine, the fish risotto dish and chicken franchese, we were full. We took alot of the chicken dish home because we both devoured the risotto dish. Always wonderful staff, always an available booth and just a lovely and affordable and i mean very affordable dinner! I was able to get a Mother's Day reservation. My party arrived a bit early and the place was as busy as expected. Despite being packed, we were seated in about two minutes, despite being early! The food was good, leaving a little room for improvement. Chicken on the salads was dry but flavorful. The overall atmosphere is what would expect from an Italina restaurant. A bit loud and festive. The BOGO pizza deal sounds great until you actually try the pizza. Both pies were extremely thin, light on toppings and heavy on dry crust. Unfortunately, they were also pretty flavorless. This is the second time I've been here, the first time was definitely five stars. This time, not so much. Although they were not busy, it took a good 10 minutes for her to bring our tea after we ordered it and at least 20 plus minutes to get our food. She did come back to check on us twice while we were eating but for me at least that was useless. The person I was with was seated in such a way that she could see the server coming. I was seated in such a way that she came from behind and I wouldn't know she was coming until she was right at the table. So zero time to react. Plus one time I had just put a mouthful of food in my mouth. The first time I never got to say anything because of the mouthful of food and she was gone so quick. The second time I sense that she might be coming because I saw my friend look up to make eye contact with somebody, so I was ready. But the server just made eye contact with my friends said does anybody need anything and as soon as my friend said no I'm good she literally turned and walked away and I tried to yell after her and she obviously didn't hear me. If you're not going to make certain everybody at the table is okay then you're not doing a good job. She never came back to ask if we wanted dessert so we eventually walked up to the cake display case. We picked two pieces of cake and the person said we will bring it right back to you. We were sitting there waiting on the cake for so long that my friend eventually went back up and asked him if they forgot about us. He said he was sorry a bunch of people came up and they just got busy... We both got the Italian wedding cake. Which in this restaurant is a huge mound in a slice of it is really big. It's what I got the first time I went there. I noticed when we ordered it there was only one slice left but I assume they took the order for two slices because there was a new cake somewhere. However what they did was split that between two people and put some extra whipped cream on the side to make it look bigger and as we left, low and behold there was a brand new Italian wedding cake in the case. So no this was not a good experience and any way shape or form. read more

This is a pretty cool restaurant! As they bake mass amounts of pizza pies, the servers scurry around waiting on tables, taking food/cocktail orders! It is an experience for certain! This was our second trip to Belleview to this unique Italian restaurant. Go early or you will wait but I promise you'll leave with a to go box! Hubby & I have enjoyed the drive from the villages to this Resturant. Take the drive, enjoy the experience, you'll enjoy getting out of the bubble as much as we do in spite of the pouring rain! Sarah was our server and she is amazing. Very kind and very prompt with her visits. My wife ordered lasagna which she said was delicious. I ordered linguine with white clam sauce and I can honestly say, it was the best I've ever eaten. It was seasoned to perfection, the clams were tender, and the pasta cooked perfectly. We had cannolis for desert and my wife, who is Italian, said they were the best she has had since leaving g New York 37 years ago. I have reviewed Pasta Faire previously and given them a 5 star review. You can see my review below. But last night the kitchen had some issues. As usual, the service was warm and friendly, the drinks were good, and the appetizers hit the spot. But the main dishes left something to be desired. I mentioned it to the boss as we were walking out and he was very apologetic and offered to do something to make it right. I assured him that we were regulars (about once a month we make a reservation for 7 or 8 and the bill usually runs around $260-300) and that we would certainly be back. We had to ask our server for more bread, it was not offered. We also had to ask for to go containers, although you could clearly see we needed them. One of the members of our party ordered an all- you-can-eat item and was never offered a refill. The place is very busy so it must a popular spot. The chicken parm arrived oddly rubbery, and perhaps overcooked on the inside. My best guess at the time was that it was cooked at too high a heat. In addition, it had dire intestinal consequences a few hours later, something I did not want to put in a review, in case it was something else. I am very sure now that this chicken parm was the source. I just had the same exact experience at another italian restaurant miles away. This suggests that they both use the same Sysco type supplier, since to my knowledge they are not owned by the same folks. OUT of the roation, I am not going to risk it again. read more

My husband and I were there for lunch yesterday 2/23. We had gone one time before and loved it, so we made it point to return. Highly disappointed in the food. The chicken was supposed to be rotisserie chicken, and it was smoked and left a bad taste. I ordered the side of pasta with the seasoned potatoes and rice. I asked for the pasta to be meat sauce. We also ordered garlic knots which we waited for and did not arrive until after my husband finished his shrimp pasta. My pasta was marinara sauce after I specifically stated meat sauce. We've been coming here for years when we visit our family. This place has never failed to deliver outstanding food, service and atmosphere. Our server tonight was Sara. Boy, she was so prompt, made great suggestions, cleared dishes away promptly when the course was finished, and had a cheery disposition. Couldn't have asked for better service. I had a side Caesar and a pizza, both were excellent! My hubby had one of the specials on the board in the lobby, it was called Black Friday. It had lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo with Italian sausage, eggplant rollitini, and a salad. Wow! All of his dishes were delicious! Of course we were invited down to the Ocala/Bellview area for Thanksgiving. And they wanted to do a special meal at Pasta Faire, they made reservations (I would recommend reservations anytime you eat there as it is usually pretty busy) We sat down they brought us out the bread, with the oil its amazing, old school Italian right there... We all opted for their Thanksgiving day menu items versus Italian, we have eaten here in the past, it has been a long time, but it is very good. Our meal was good, and the service was excellent, even the owner was running around during the time we were there. I called in a takeout order on their buy one get one pizzas. I requested them to be slightly burnt in order for the pepperoni to be curled up and crispy on the edges. When I arrived there the cook told me that he did not expect "me" to want my pizza burnt. I looked at the pizzas quickly and they seemed fine. However, when I got home and further inspected the pizzas, I noticed they had precooked (blackened) the dough and then put the pizza toppings on. Some of the toppings were almost raw. The extra cheese was not there. Why a cook would prejudge who is ordering what is beyond me. Needless to say we thew most of the order away. Thank goodness it was a gift card. read more

I have been going to Pasta Faire since it opened. In the beginning the food was just so so, average is a better word. In the past couple of years, the food has been off the chain great! WONDERFUL WAITRESS VALERIE...I was exhausted from work and came here alone as I had not eaten all day. Valerie was very kind and attentive and treated me like I had been her very best customer not just 1 person she had to deal with. Brought me a small sample of a sauce that I might like on my pasta, refilled my drink without asking, brought me extra spices for my meal in case I would like it as I told her I like a sauce with garlic and spices..Just a fabulous experience and the meal was very good. I travel alone alot and I really get ignored aloalot of the time but not with VALERIE..she made my long hard day alot brighter. Thank you Valerie!!! Well for starters when we walked in we weren't greeted when someone finally did come up to us there was no how are welcome nothing all she said was 2 follow me she sat us down and said your server will be right with you I said thank you no response back so it's started off not so well now our server came over and here's where things started going downhill she introduced herself we gave her our drink order she brought back over one drink that was right and one that was wrong I let her know what drink I had ordered and she went and got the right drink we had only been here once before about 6 years ago and tried it again today bad choice we ordered the calamari and that was not bad could've been a little more crunchy as I asked for well done we asked for more bread and her body language as she turned around to go get it was like it was a problem asking so moving forward she came back to the table for the 5th time as we were still looking at the menu and asked if we were ready to order I said not quite so we made our decision and she came back I put the order in and once our salads arrived they looked terrible we asked for Caesar salad and they came out wilted and old on top of that I had a hair in my food I asked one of the employees walking by if he was a manager he said no but came to the table anyway I showed him the hair he came back seconds later and said it was parsley now I know the difference between parsley and hair but the kicker is he brought back the same nasty salad which was an insult I told him I didn't want it I'm not looking for anything I'm paying my full bill the problem I have is from the very beginning we were judged by our appearance and therefore got less then mediocre service I will not recommend this restaurant and if you do decide to come here just know what your in for! read more

Not horrible but probably wouldn't go back. The food was fine. Not great but not horrible. A little overcooked but I've had worse. They understood gluten free which I appreciated. They had a ton of options on the menu but I didn't have a ton of time to browse. Our waitress was nice but we were in the back of the restaurant and it was LOUD in the kitchen. Every 60 seconds someone was screaming "corner" right next to us. A great thing for safety in the kitchen but very noisy and annoying if you're sitting right there.
