The atmosphere was very calming. We sat on the patio and had a nice view of the grass in the golf range. They have a stage as well, and play live music at night. Our server was the only one there and honestly, she was fabulous. The bang bang shrink was delicious. The sauce was not spicy at all so it didn't hurt to eat my meal. Went to get a couple drinks and some appetizers. Drinks took over 20 minutes to get to table on a very slow Wednesday evening. There were only two other tables sat. Manager was told and instead of apologizing for the delay she disputed the time it had taken with no apology. We payed for the two unfinished drinks and left without waiting for the food. Norm! (Sorry, old person joke). I was pleasantly surprised by my experience here. It's more of a bar than a restaurant, but my friend and I sat at one of their outside tables, as far away from the AC/DC-heavy live band as we could get, and enjoyed our meal. They have outside live music both Friday and Saturday nights, with rotating bands. Our server Austin was excellent, and I love that he was on the ball taking care of the outside tables. I started with a cotton candy martini, which was tasty, even if it loses some of it's pizazz when served in a plastic cup. For my meal I had the basic grilled chicken sandwich with a plain baked potato. Not fancy, but good, and they remembered the side of salsa I asked for. We sat upstairs on a Saturday night with a live band. It's more of a wedding vibe than a place to eat. We thought the band would be outside which is why we went. You need reservations for a table with the "view" otherwise its seat yourself at a banquet table. The patty melt lacked flavor and the salmon was so small for the price and not very good. The music was so loud the waitress couldn't hear us. It's not a horrible place just overpriced and a very weird atmosphere. The scenery outside is very pretty. read more

Went to Cheers earlier today. I ordered the fried Haddock sandwich with side salad and French frees with half and half ice tea. The service was good. The French Fries were very good, The side Salad was ok but the Haddock was overcooked. I do not think I would order it again. My wife had chicken wings, she said she liked them, I ate two of them and thought they were over cooked. I would go to Publix if I want chicken wings and do not want to drive to Zaxbys. So we like to go out our first night of our springs trip and this place was right around the corner and good reviews so let's eat!! It is part of a country club so the venue is really nice! It was a Thursday and close to closing so we had no problem getting a table. I thought the menu was pretty large for a country club cafe but they said they make everything fresh and in house. Even their dressings. J our server / bartender was awesome. Offered great suggestions and love to talk about wine! We started with the soups of the day. Tortilla soup and clam chowder. OMG both were so good. Both were scratch made and fresh. Delicious. For our mains I got the special. Mushroom chicken special. This was ok. I would have liked more mushrooms and a little more seasoning. Deb had the Shrimp creole. Creamy and delicious. Make the shrimp blackened to kick it up. A very solid spot for food in the area. The Prime Rib is absolutely terrible here and I DO NOT recommend it!! No flavor, not cooked properly. We Just went last night, and will never return, for my birthday and was extremely disappointed. Cheers at Rainbow Springs has been open since early January 2023. I have visited many times since they opened at various times of the day. The first thing to note about Cheers is that it is themed after the t.v. show both in presentation and mission. The place is one where friends come to gather and everyone knows your name. The restaurant has had some challenges because of the building design in regards to where the kitchen is located. Staffing has also at times been an issue, causing wait times to be higher. But this is a challenge pretty much wherever you go. My advice is to go into visiting (especially on a busy night or Holiday thinking of dining here as an experience and some patience. First, let's talk about the menu..... Their sandwiches and burgers are fantastic. And they make their own bread/buns. Their french fries are some of my favorites, or try some delicious onion rings. My favorite sandwich is the Grand Park North (Rueben) but you won't be disappointed in any of the others either. They do have a kids menu for little one's and it's never disappointed them. Next, entertainment. They have live music Fridays/Saturday nights. I believe they have started doing other events like BINGO night too. Kids are always welcome which is nice for times we want to bring the whole family out to listen to the music and dance. We often order from the bar and they make good drinks and they don't skimp on the liquor. I hate ordering an alcoholic drink and feel like the alcohol is missing entirely so this is important to me. In conclusion we love that Cheers is a part of the community. read more

The food was weird. I have never had grilled prime rib? There is a reason it never caught on. This place is trying hard to be fancy and failing badly. If they would just make decent bar food they would probably be fine but even the bar menu needs work too. The French onion soup was inedible. The croton and cheese were fine but there was barely any onion and it tasted like it had been in a warmer for days. The specialty drinks were odd the combinations have never been done before because they are gross. If you want to play golf and drink beer it's fine. The waitress was friendly and helpful. Sorry to be a downer, but I keep thinking back to this experience from August 16th and feel bad for not bringing it to others' attention. On that Saturday night, we dropped into Cheers for a late dinner, while the band was in full-swing upstairs. We had recommended this place, and someone in our party ordered the prime rib. Let's just say it was clear from looking that this piece of meat had gone bad, but unfortunately, it was tasted, and found to be "off." We sent it back and got a burger instead. Staff handled our request dutifully but that piece of meat should NEVER have been served. With this in mind, diners should be wary, and management should be endeavoring to ensure that something like this can never happen again. read more

I hate leaving bad reviews buuuuuutttttttt,,,,,,,,, this was hands down worst service I've had in a long time. The princess Smurf w his painted fingernails and blue hair might be the worst training server I've seen. He blamed the young lady for all his mistakes at the table in front of us. They never came back to fill drinks, brought out half the food we ordered and got put out when we asked for the rest of what we ordered,,,, wings, no sauce, no fries, no ranch or blue cheese, sliders w no cheese or pickles (they later brought out pickle spears that had soured at some point after we finished the sliders) , mozzarella sticks with no marinara?! Pretzel sticks were cold and hard like they've been sitting out all day (bread sticks) and had to pay extra for cheese dip that should probably come with them. French fries came out almost 20 minutes later and there were maybe 12 of them. The wings tasted like they were either bad or had been fried more than once. The only thing Cheers has going for it that I can see is they serve alcohol and can accommodate a band. This place need a MASSIVE overhaul. Four if us enjoyed our meal and Holly our server was excellent. She greeted us upon arrival with a smile and took care of everything. I was able to purchase wine by the bottle rather than by the glass, which is easy on everyone. We went on a Thursday evening, which was slower than usual due to thunderstorms. We had heard good things about this restaurant, so perhaps our expectations were too high. We sat outside with some old rock 'n' roll music, which was pretty entertaining. We ordered the shrimp Creole appetizer, which was pretty tasty. We had our appetizer for about three minutes and then they showed up with our salads and our main courses, even though we said we would like to have our appetizer first, our salad second and our meal last. We ended up eating them all three at the same time. We ordered the grouper blackened and it came grilled not blackened and it was way overcooked. Everything else was just so so. We ordered the chocolate cake which was dried out and stale. When she sat the dessert down, she required that I settle up with the bill at that time on her little electronic handheld device.. Dinner for 4, on friday night was very disappointing, we had three prime rib dinners, their special, asked for medum and they were all overcooked. The shrimp dinner was also disappointing. The shrimp were like rubber. We live in the area, and have gone thru 4 restaurants in that location. We were hoping this one would survive, but this was our third try, and it hasn't improved. The service is horrible. We were seated and the bar person took our drink order then waited 15 minutes for the waitress to come to our table. She took our order and said would come back with more tea and one person's salad, which she never did come back. We had to go to the bar to get refill on tea. Never came back with the salad. Had to ask her again for the salad and then after a long wait she finally come with the salad that was warm. Waited 45 minutes for our food. The food was lukewarm and looked like it had been sitting there for awhile. We know from the time we sat down until we were done eating, it was almost 2 hours because we watched three and half episodes of the TV show Cheers that was playing at the bar. The place was not that busy on the inside. The waitress was not efficient at all. We will never go back to this establishment. The band playing outside was not that great either. read more

We had lunch here earlier this week and this is one of the best kept secrets in Dunnellon I believe. Kendra was our waitress, and she was an excellent waitress and a very pleasant person to talk to. It was not crowded, so we got to talk to her a little bit and we found out that they make all of their own breads, sauces, salad dressings, and just about everything on site. The food was very good and they were very generous with their portions. My husband had their daily special, which was an Italian plate which included a piece of lasagna, a piece of chicken cacciatore, and spaghetti and meatballs. There were also two cute little rolls with his meal, as well as a salad. It was a lot of food for the price and it was all very good. I had a club sandwich, and they were very generous with the meat on the sandwich. The fries were both hot and above average. Everything was very good. We made a day trip of this out of and I imagine we'll be making more trips over there. If you're in the area, be sure and give it a try. read more
