Or maybe you're going to go with a sandwich like a meatball sandwich or an Italian panini, what about baked? Is lasagna your thing how about chicken parmesan, will that work for you? For me it's simple I absolutely love Fettuccine Alfredo, and you toss in some shrimp and I'm in heaven. So today I was thinking about Italian, and I was wanting to go someplace I had never been before. So, I go out to my garage and get in my Horseless Carriage and send that buggy northward on I-35 to the Great Northern Tundra and a city called Kearney. And in this city call Kearney there's an Italian place called Gino's Italiano. So, I pull myself out of the buggy, I walk up and open the door and inside I go where was seated at table. I order up my fettuccine alfredo with shrimp. They served it with some bread, and I had a beer to help wash it all down. Just look at that gorgeous bowl of pasta! The Alfredo sauce was rich, creamy, and smooth and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The shrimp was to the tooth there was no rubberiness to it! And dig in I did, after I let it cool down a bit because you see they brought it to the table with steam rolling off of it! And with each bite of those pasta noodles and that sauce it got better, richer, and creamier. If you happen to find yourself in Kearney don't be afraid to give this place a try because they also have weekly hamburger specials and they have a breaded pork loin sandwich that I've heard other people say is quite good. Some may lump them in the same boat as WalMart as they do kill some local small town business, but they also bring a lot to these small towns. Let me tell you about my experience today at the Blue Springs, MO location. It was as disappointing as ordering a pizza and only getting the box. Honestly, I might have preferred that. First, the pizza itself. It barely had any pepperoni or cheese on it. I've seen crackers with more toppings. When I called to address the issue, I spoke with Kayla, the manager on duty. Unfortunately, Kayla seemed more interested in laughing and chatting with her coworkers than actually helping me. When I brought up the lack of toppings, my ongoing frustration with this location's consistent issues, and the fact that I had told my husband we shouldn't order from here because well the pizza is always disappointing. Kayla seemed to find the whole situation amusing. Spoiler: it wasn't. She offered no solutions--no refund, no credit. Instead, she pointed out that since I had given my 3-year-old the smallest piece of pizza to calm a meltdown, where she was screaming "I love messed up pizza," when I was trying to explain it needed to go back... I wasn't eligible for anything. When I asked for the corporate number to escalate the issue, she claimed she didn't know it and wasn't motivated to find it. She eventually mentioned it was online but admitted she wouldn't even know where to direct me. The only real help Kayla gave me during the entire call was spelling her name correctly. That's it. Beyond that, she sarcastically offered to remake the pizza, adding that she didn't know how many times she'd have to remake it since I "clearly don't like the way they make pizza, their crust, or their toppings." Not exactly the customer service experience I was hoping for. At this point, I'm not picky--I'm just looking for someone, anyone, from Pizza Hut to step in and Make Apizza Great Again. Please let me know how we can resolve this. And maybe consider a refresher course in customer service for Kayla--because sarcasm and dismissal shouldn't be part of a manager's skillset. My options seemed limited that late at night, but pasta seemed to be calling my name so I landed here. I may have been a little under dressed, but no one treated me any different. From the moment I walked in and through my visit, the customer service was exceptional. My server, I wish I remembered his name, was amazing and everything he recommended was totally chef's kiss! I couldn't decide between the pasta I craved, or the highly recommended hanger steak, so I got both! Excuse my yelling but, THE HANGER STEAK WAS ABSOLUTELY TO DIE FOR!!! I had no idea!! All I know is that I thought there would be leftovers and I was ready to lick the plate! Nothing went home with me. I haven't been able to stop talking about the hanger steak since. I would probably order a different pasta next time, or none at all. Also, the focaccia was incredible as well.
