Italian Steak Parmigiana Sandwich with a side of spaghetti. Yum!

Wow! What a find! We were in Kearney to see the tulip farm and stumbled on this gem for lunch. The menu was excellent -- most of your basic Italian favorites. I had the "Italian steak" (pork tenderloin) parmigiana sandwich with a side of spaghetti and red sauce. The portion was HUGE and the food was perfect. The sauce is sweet and delicious and the meat was tender and perfectly cooked. My wife had an Italian panini with a side of eggplant parmigiana. The portion was too large for her (which is not a complaint). The server was attentive and welcoming. The prices were fair, particularly given the portion sizes. I will eat here the next time I'm in the area. I loved it.

    Silverware surprise from Chef D

Me and my Wife had dinner here because of other pics and reviews, we came up from Gladstone Mo. and it was worth the drive, the staff and Chef D himself were awesome, we will definitely be back, I had the tenderloin and I am not really a tenderloin fan but man it was amazing and I could not even finish it, lol could not even make it to the sandwich part haha. It was thick and juicy and the flavors was great. My wife had the Cajun chicken fettuccine, and she said it was delicious and you could tell Chef D made the noodles from scratch. We will definitely be back to try other selections too. And we finished off the meal with Chef D's personal selection of cream brûlée, and I am not sure if I ever had it before but it was very delicious Thank you Chef D and your staff for taking great care of us. This was our first visit but not our last!!!

Delicious spicy sweet sauce... We shared between two of us and couldn't clean the platter

For a small town Italian place, it was pleasantly tasty. They have quite the wine list as well! And dessert :) For starters, we ordered the calamari and the toasted ravioli. Both were very delicious. Probably some of the best toasted ravioli I've had in a long time. It had sausage and cheese mixed in fried to a perfection. Very tasty! Then I ordered the spinach and artichoke pizza. It lasted me 4 days with leftovers! It was amazing. Very juicy and the crust was cooked in a brick oven. Very well done. My friend ordered the Cajun pasta and it was very good as well. Not too spicy! But still creamy! For dessert we ordered the strawberry cheesecake and the friend cheesecake stick thing served with ice cream. It was good, although less cheesecake in the middle would have been better! Will go back anytime I want Italian!

Amazing food with a great family atmosphere! The eggplant parmigiana and anything with Alfredo sauce is my favorite.

Food and service was great. Had toasted raviolis a pizza and the fettuccine. Unassuming atmosphere but this place is solid.

Great food, (and not just Italian), great service, and the prices are pretty reasonable considering the amount of food that you receive.

Under new ownership and worth a try again. They treat their staff well and they will listen to any feedback. Give Gino's a try.

Sadly, the overall visit was very disappointing. House salad was great, Sicilian garlic dip was great. Beef spiedini tasted charred and was overcooked enough to be dry. The amogio tasted imbalanced and was finished with a soggy wad of parsley. My side of Capelli D'Angelo was actually great. My wife's Chicken Spiedini Garozzo was also overcooked. The 2 end pieces were dry and crusty. Before tonight I've never had a bad meal at Garozzo's. We know the recipes are great. The execution was the problem. To make matters much worse, our waitress was not good. Would disappear for a 10+ minutes at a time. We saw the neighboring table's waiter over twice as often. She started off our visit by bluntly interrupting my wife while she was talking to me. She took away my Old Fashioned without confirming I was done. I wasn't. Usually the service and the food are fantastic, so tonight was a surprise and a disappointment.

I will definitely go back and order different dishes! The ambiance is nice.

It always feels like a special night out. Ashley is usually our server, and she's an absolute gem. She offers thoughtful recommendations, knows the menu inside and out, and provides the kind of warm, amazing service that keeps us coming back. The food is consistently outstanding. On this visit we shared the ceviche, the tagliatelle Bolognese, and the Campo Lindo chicken breast. It was all delicious. We love that the menu is always being updated, but they continue to offer some of our favorites. The ambiance is just as memorable as the food. Whether you choose the oyster bar, the cocktail bar, or the dining room, the experience always feels elevated. They also have a great private dining room. We recently celebrated a friend's birthday there, and it was the perfect setting. Farina continues to deliver one of the best dining experiences in Kansas City. From the exceptional food and thoughtful service to the inviting atmosphere, it's a restaurant we find ourselves returning to again and again. Some of the best Italian inspired food anywhere. It's justifiably difficult to get a booking, as befits the best restaurant in Kansas City. Beautiful dishes in a great atmosphere. Start with the ambiance: it's usually busy in an enjoyable uplifting way. People watching is at a peak here as smart diners move between elegant and tasteful furniture while friendly, professional (and invariably handsome) wait staff glide through it all. If you recognize and appreciate good Italian design, this place will delight you before you've even glanced at the menu. Talking of the menu - it's a revolving tableau of Italian inspired deliciousness that will cause you to pause after each first bite - and look up at your dinner companion with a smile that says "wow"! Last night I had a lobster roll that defied gravity in its lightness. And the taste and texture was just perfect - what an appetizer! It was a moderate eating evening so I only had the pasta. A Carbonara of homemade thick noodle pasta with a deeply seductive cream sauce base. Paired both with a selection from the other great feature of Farina, its wine list. My selection was a minerally dry sparkling rose (I know, but trust me!) from the slopes of Etna. The wine selection is itself a wonderful experience - I'd recommend sticking with the Italian options - of which there are many, and they are quality examples some of which are rare finds in America. When you add great service and - as always - a brief check in from one of the two owners (he chef, she sommelier) you can round out a top level dining experience right here in KCMO. One to rival any other eatery in much bigger markets - or even Italy itself.
