My Chicken Parmesan may have been the best I have ever eaten. However, the service obliterated an otherwise excellent meal. Many reviews describe Bettola as a hidden gem with warm, attentive service. That makes our treatment even harder to understand. I waited tables years ago, so I am extremely lenient with waitstaff. I know how hard they work and what they endure. Do you know how rude and dismissive a waiter must be for me to write a one-star review? VERY. I do not know his name. He appeared to be serving most, perhaps all, of this small restaurant. That is a tremendous workload, and slow service alone would not have upset me. Maybe he was having a terrible day. Maybe he was in pain. I truly do not know. But he seemed friendly with many other customers while treating us with indifference. He was inattentive, and dismissive, and appeared entirely comfortable behaving that way. Why were we treated differently? Was it because we were older? Was it because I am Black? I sincerely hope neither was true, but his conduct left me asking those questions. Whatever you are going through, every guest deserves your best. We were kind and respectful. Even a difficult guest deserves basic dignity because a waiter has no idea what that person may have endured that day, either. Respect must travel in both directions. Always. Our party divided the check. I don't know what my friends left him, but I still left a 25% tip. I did that because I remember the work and because countless waiters give their guests outstanding service every day. The kitchen produced a remarkable meal. The Chicken Parmesan alone could bring me back. But excellent food cannot erase treatment that makes guests feel unwelcome. Bettola deserved better representation. We deserved better treatment. Everyone does. Do your job, treat every guest with dignity and respect, and do your job well, or quit, man.

Andy welcomed us right away and he took our drink orders. I got the Saturn cocktail, so yummy. My husband ordered a type of beer by Oskar Blues but he wasn't a fan. I tried the BBQ pork Bao bun and it was delicious! I decided on the fish and chips for my entree and he tried the combo noodle bowl. We both really enjoyed our dishes! I had to get dessert so I opted for the salted caramel gelato, it was tasty and hit the spot on that hot day! Andy was great, so friendly and attentive. Prices aren't bad here either! We will be back to try more dishes for sure!

All the food was inspired by the chef and owner's Asian heritage, while giving subtle nods to how the cuisine plays within the western world and palate. The chefs and new owners are also conscious of using in season ingredients and all the dishes featured produce and herbs and microgreens grown from their own patio front garden. Having a freshly picked heirloom tomato on their lemongrass chicken and bacon slider, with black garlic aioli, was just chef's kiss! Rest assured, the 5 other dishes we tried were just as incredible. If you go, go hungry and plan on staying awhile to fully enjoy the experience.

They were attentive, professional, warm, and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience. You can tell when someone truly cares about their guests, and that was absolutely the case here. The level of service, attention to detail, and hospitality was outstanding. We felt so well taken care of and appreciated every moment. A huge thank you to the manager Ned and the entire Odyssey team--you made our experience truly special! We will absolutely be back and would highly recommend Odyssey to anyone looking for an amazing experience and exceptional service.

The concept of it being inside a home is very interesting. The food here is amazing especially their Caesar Salad. That salad was so delicious we wanted to order some to go. Now the reason why this place is getting three stars because 1. The service here is horrible! 15-25 minute wait for our server to come back around and check in on us. It wasn't just us either but it was everyone else in the room. Saw a couple that waited about 25 minutes just to be checked up on after being seated. We also never asked for our bill yet and it was given to us without us asking. We wanted to order more food after our entree. Hence why we never got to order our Caesar salad. 2. This one was the most disappointing part of our dinner. We ordered tiramisu for our dessert, once served I noticed a glossy chunky on it, assuming it was maybe crystallized sugar. Wrong. It was a chunk of ice!! The tiramisu WAS STILL FROZEN!! For 12 bucks I can get some better tiramisu at king soopers, Safeway, or any other restaurant honestly. 3. There was an ant in my drink, and we weren't compensated for that. We paid 4 dollars for an ant drink.

Everything we ordered was so delicious. Every order comes with focaccia. I think that the à la carte small plate options stood out as more worthwhile to me over the focaccia accompaniments. Outstanding menu curation that was unique enough to offer great assortment and narrow enough to feel like you explored every section. Truly spectacular service to service such care for the food. This cannot be said enough for Denver restaurants, often finding reviews of the food outweighs the service every time. Not at Olivia. The som who outlined our pairings in the tasting menu was knowledgeable, kind, and passionate. The location threw us off a bit when entering, but you're quickly wrapped into your own pseudo-Italian trattoria. What an experience.

I really wanted to be impressed by the preparation, but it all felt very generic. I got the truffle pasta and French onion ravioli. Truffle pasta was conflicting with the sausage. French onion ravioli left a lot to be desired. Not caramelized onion pieces, limited gruyere. Desserts were tiny and lack luster. Great gluten free options were a highlight for our group. Ambiance leaves a lot to be desired. Busy street corner. I wouldn't go back. Friends I was with said would not return and 3.5/5. Gluten free friend thinks it is the absolute best and 5/5, goes as much as she can.

Too big for their own good? The food is better than good,…read morenice atmosphere, the service is always good, too. The issue?? Timing!? We had an event at the Denver Zoo starting at 6:30, so we made a 5:15 reservation. We arrived early, were seated quickly and ordered the our kid's food as we were physically sitting down. We then ordered our food 5-10 minutes later. My wife and I joked that we may have to stop at a playground before the zoo to kill some time. Then we waited, and waited, and waited. Server was very polite and apologetic. We have two, 2-year olds and they got pretty fussy around 5:45, but then their food arrived. Around 6:10 we felt like canceling our food order out of spite, but elected not to. Our food was brought to our table shortly after 6:15 and we had to just tell them to box it up. We tipped normally, it's not the server's fault... BUT, two things. 1. When it's that slow, I would feel it customary and appropriate to comp something... the drinks, one of the entrees.. something. They did not. 2. As we were rushing out of there we noticed a half dozen to-go order bags on the bar near the entry. If you can't serve the people that are sitting in your restaurant at a decent pace, you shouldn't be taking take-out orders.
