I like the towel dry by the employees and complimentary scents for the car as well as free vacuuming! It's going to rain this week so I didn't go for my usual 16 dollar wash. We checked the hours before we came and it said they closed at 6. We arrived at 5:37. We were very, very rudely told that they change their hours on Monday to winter hours to close at 5:30. The very rude attendant then yelled at us "no one comes at this time". Well obviously someone did as we were there. He was even shaking his head when he walked away. Never going here again. I talked to the manager today and he was rude a didn't care what I had to say about one of his workers ... I been going there for quite some time and I buy there 3 months program every 3 rd month but no more after I complain about the girl worker with the fake blonde hair it took her 5 seconds to dry off my car and I have seen this lady pay better attention to the selected cars that go through we call her the spit shine because that's how long it takes her to do her job right and the manager told me how's that it took us 10 seconds to dry off your car I was like what? If your not the selected few exspect rudeness and half ass car wash ... good luck in going there I never go there again read more

I'm just gonna say that ceramic shine...NEEDED! The hand drying and tire shine at the end, HAVE TO HAVE WASH! I personally was impressed at the actual scrubbing of the rims, I love the air freshener combo (had over a whole list) the nice attendant girl brought me. I went and got my car washed today. The gentleman who helped me was friendly and clear about the wash. It's only been my second time here. He offered me a better smelling air freshener after I requested New car smell. He was very right that the white something smelled way better. The guy at the end of the line who dried my car off did a great job and I even tipped him. I dont usually tip. I use to go to scrubs in chico...which is terrible with terrible customer service. They could give better verbal instructions about the process. I did not know to put the receipt in the windshield . I paid the $25 car wash few times, and have noticed that tires were not done . I let it go . This time I paid the $25 car wash , I noticed the tires were dirty. I tried to call them. Their voice mailbox was full. No one answered the phone . The receipt said satisfaction guarantee within 24 hours , so I went back within 30 min, and said I was not satisfied . The lady worker questioned me. Asked me what was wrong , I said it was not clean enough and the tires were not done . I went through the car wash again . Twice through and it was not clean. There was dirt on the windshield below the wiper blades, lots of water spots. When I got home I redid the windows because they were not clean. My car is new. I have had it two weeks . Next time I will take my new vehicle to the guy in Palermo at the 4 corners . He does a good job for a fair price. read more

The very rude manager told me "good luck on getting anywhere in California to wash your car" he was very snide and told me it "takes a SPECIAL chemical to bugs and sap off a car"! I came here to this platform specifically to compose this review after other efforts failed. This review comes months after I swore I would find the time to write it. I live in Penn Valley where I am a practicing DDS. In April of this year (2019) I had made a trip into Oroville on a Friday and as with most times while in Oroville I decided to get my car washed. This time was different. An employee I hadn't seen their before was working and talked me into an interior detail of my car. I figured I had some time to kill and agreed. I think his name was Christian or Christopher. Tall, skinny, had what are commonly known around these parts as "oroville cheekbones". He was real schmoozy and fake while giving a sense of misplaced arrogance. He had taken my money for the wash as I was pulling in and stood there watching me open mail in my vehicle as I waited to enter the wash. I was activating a new credit card at that time and thinking back I should have noticed it was awkward how close he remained to my window doing nothing until i looked over at him. (Which was when he told me my car could use an interior detail and after paying for that he informed me he would meet me at the other end of the wash once my exterior was finished. ( I would be remiss to not mention that I paid for all services that day in cash). The employee met me at the exit of the wash and I walked around the parking lot next door making phone calls. I had put all my mail Id been sorting through inside my console while going through the wash and hadnt thought twice about it after leaving him to "detail" the interior. The time Id been attempting to kill became irrellivant while making my calls as my plans had to be canceled. After that I headed home, I stopped nowhere, I spent no money on my way home. When I went through the mail from my console that evening I recall their was no credit card Id just activated earlier that day. I figured it was upstairs in my wallet and told myself Id check later but didnt remember to do so until Sunday evening. Ill mention that I spent the entire weekend taking it easy around the house. I didnt leave or go anywhere or give anyone else access to my car or wallet. Sunday evening I did not find the new credit card in my wallet. So I went to the garage and searched my freshly "detailed" car. Which while searching noticed it wasnt well detailed or cleaned at all. I had a busy day the next day and forgot to call the comapny the card was issued from. I forgot to call them for a couple days, but once I had I learned that the new card had been getting used, quite a few times actually. All in Oroville, it was used at the Oroville Wal Mart, evening of the day I had last seen it in my car before the "detail" and again at Wal Mart in Chico, Joannes Fabric, and Michaels Craft Store of all places then again in Oroville over the next couple days. Thankfully the card company had blocked an attempted purchase for over a thousand dollars with bikesdirect.com and amazon.com. I wont say infatically that this employee was to blame. Though I can't seem to overlook the facts. Ive been back to the wash twice while in town recently with the intention of speaking to the owner who never seems to be there or available or return the messages Ive left. Though thankfully I didnt notice the same employee working either time nor did I have them wash or detail my vehicle. I opted to rather go down to the one down by the freeway. Just on principal of the detail job that was given my last visit and the theft that occured during it. This is my attempt to let the owner know what I havent been able to during each subsequent visit since that day, careful who you hire sir. It is also meant to serve as a reminder to everyone else...never leave personal information in your car and trust a stranger isnt going to steal it. Have a great day and keep smiling! read more

Paid 20 for all the frills and they said they were doing them at the end. When i got home i could see none of it was touched. Everythg a to z is sub par. Overall my car was almost as filthy as when i brought it in. You cant even call this place and talk to anyone. They got my 20 but i wont be back. I came here hoping be better than surf thru which is also terrible. I guess to get my car clean i have to do it myself. read more

Worlds worst car wash!!! We came 30 minutes before closing and were told it was too late for an interior wash after they had already started spraying down the outside of the truck! We said that's find, just refund it. They wouldn't do a refund. After arguing that we weren't paying $15 for an exterior wash that we could get for free at the dealership, they agreed to wash the outside of the truck and would do the inside "but it might be awhile". When we pulled around, the outside was still dirty, the Inside was a mess and they said it was done. I have never been to a worse and more rude car wash! It is worth the drive to Marysville or Chico for a real car wash!! read more

I had my vehicle detailed, very lousy job, can barely see through the windshield, they did not clean my floor mats, and left them in the back of my truck! It seems every time I want to add an interior service (wipe down, vacuum and windows washed) I'm given an excuse as to why they can't do it. "It's too hot", "We're short staffed", "The manager won't hire extra help", etc. Why bother to offer this service if you have no intention of following through? The cars are rushed through quickly and the workers are very impatient. Most times as the employees are waving me forward I think I'm going to hit the car in front of me. read more

It was ridiculous for the price. One person for order 2 people trying to Prep your car and only one to dry and deal with tires. My car was still dirty due to the lack of employees not their work ethics. This is the second time this has happened. The owner should be ashamed of themselves. For the the price there should be enough employees. There was a line of cars and the one person to dry was barely able to keep up with the cars that were coming out. It was like a gridlock of cars at the drying station. It would be well worth it going to Scrubs or Surf in Chico. I will never use Pastime again!!!! read more

I've been getting my car done here for years. The basic wash is all I ask for and I get what I pay for! Always polite and quick service. I've been able to tip a few bucks to the staff. The owner has always been friendly and many times I've seen he's extremely hard working and hands on. I'm very thankful he's in business and we're able to get an easy car wash without having to drive to Chico. read more

This place used to be the only one i went too. The owner is great. However i dont think they know how horrible their employees have become. They dont care to do the job they are paid for. Their attitudes are horrible, rude and disrespectful. I always give 3 chances and 3 times in a row in 3 weeks the service was bad and no one to speak to on the premises. I will always choose to support local businesses but after 3 washes and having no one to speak to about the issues, just to go to another place to have it done again for more money. I go here about once a year to detail my vehicles inside and out, they do a great job for a reasonable price. Always courteous and car looks good for quite a while after they do their magic. Usually can get in an appointment the next day for a detail. I drop off at 9am and usually get a call to pick-up from 3-4pm. read more

Another classless business in Oroville. When our vehicle came out of the wash it was still covered in soap, after asking two different employees to get the soap that will damage the paint off the vehicle and them refusing; the owner came over and proceeded to scream at my boy friend and tell him (And the customers around him) that he looked crazy after several other customers agreed that soap was still on the vehicle (guess he dosent like it when multiple people tell him he's wrong). He proceeded to scream and shout like a toddler, refused to wash the soap off and refused to give us a refund. In conclusion, only go here if you're willing to pay for a half-assed Orovillian job, you'll have better luck hitting up the Arco Marysville by Wal-Mart. A NOTE TO THE OWNER: a good business man keeps his personal feelings and drama out of where he makes his nest egg. I'm half tempted to open up a car wash here in Oroville and put you straight out of business and then buy your spot for pennies on the dollar. And the best part is, I can do it. Not happy with my wash or the attitude of the workers!! I bought the basic wash with the interior cleaning. After my basic wash i waited 13 mins for someone to even acknowledge that i was parked waiting for the interior cleaning. I'm 7 months pregnant and during the 13min wait i started cleaning the interior of my car. Once the person came out to start cleaning, i sat outside on their chairs. When they were done i asked them to rinse off my floor mats. They informed me it was $1 each floor mat!! When every other time its free. I said okay nevermind and when i went to get in my car, ALL my change that was in my cup holder is GONE! it was FULL!! more than $8 for sure!!! I asked and the lady said she sucked it up and she was sorry.... she than offered me a dollar! When i told her i wanted my change back not the dollar. The guy next to her said they can turn off the vaccumm and get it for me but i have to wait an hr to do so.... He than said i should go somewhere else next time!!! I asked for a manager and there isnt one. So i told them to call one and they proceeded to talk down to me and tell me not to come back. So the interior cleaning i got ripped off for all my change, there is water spots all over my car, and the shitty attitude of the workers really irritated me... If I could have given zero stars and posted a review, I would have! They rush your vehicle through leaving dirt, bugs, and bird poop. The person drying the car wipes AROUND what is left on the surface. Phone calls to the business go unanswered, and messages are not returned. When you speak to someone face to face, you're told "Your receipt says you have 24 hours to complain". Well, we DID try to resolve this within 30 minutes, and it didn't do any good. This was a mixed review for me... on one hand, the employees are amazing and they manage to be hospitable and friendly during what is obviously severe short staffing issues. I arrived at 745 AM and was 3rd in line. The guy that initially met me explained that there will be a delay of about 29 mins, which was nice to have that heads up! There were only two employees working at the time, one who greeted/handled money/soap swabbed before entering and one employee who dried off your car and directed you to the vacuum area. There was no employee stationed at the vacuum area soooo hmmmm....I guess the scheduler thought one employee could do two jobs???? After waiting for 20 mins, I decided to come back later to have them finish the inside. Returning at 3PM.... two employees at vacuum station. Customer next to me had the same experience as I did. Hopefully, it is not a matter of saving overhead. Probably more employees are necessary for the customer load? Just a suggestion. read more
