Bought a mini van. they did charge 1000 over blue book value but low miles. great car. drove it home had massive oil leak, broken seat belt, sensor that doesn't work, and windows that wont operate. drove it back the fixed the oil leak. they did order parts to fix windows and seat belt so I am waiting to take car back in to have them fix it. overall those things should have been fixed before they sold the car and they told me it was safe and already checked out for issues when I guess it wasn't. I keep having to take the car back and forth for something to be fixed. so if you buy a car from them make sure everything is not broken first. update: my car was never fixed and had windows and doors that are broken. when I called a few months later after they "fixed it the first time" they told me they wont help me. So I took the car into a shop and was told they ductaped the original fix in the door and it was never actually fixed correctly. when I updated my review to include this info I then had repeated phone calls from the dealer about my review. actually he just wanted to fight with me and when I hung up he then started sending me a barrage of text messages. I would never recommend anyone buying a car from this place. read more

I cannot say that I could recommend any other used car dealership in the Portland-Metro area. Pat Moore sold me a car 2 years ago, and it was in wonderful condition. The sales staff were friendly, let us take it for a test drive without an annoying sales person in the background pointing out dash features while you're trying to get a feel for the car... It was a great buying experience. 8 days later, the clutch burned out. While that was not covered by the warranty that I received with the car, these guys helped me to pay for half of the repair. I recently totaled that vehicle. I called Pat Moore Quality Cars for some information regarding the sale, value, and repair of my vehicle. They faxed it to my insurance company and REALLY worked hard to help me out. Thank you guys so much. read more

I stumbled across this place after a truly horrendous experience at their neighboring dealer ( Victory Lane) whose car was... well read my review... anyhoo, I saw a couple of cars on the tidy frontage of this dealer whilst turning round... disheartened by my wasting an afternoon driving from Oregon, I thought I might as well take a look. WHAT A REVELATION! The cars were clean, they had honest descriptions and posted prices. The staff were friendly without being pushy. They sent us off on a test drive alone.. no pressure. A family run business that seems to care, not the Beverly Hillbilly shambles next door. They quite restored my faith in customer service. We saw two great cars, in pristine condition, were choosing which to buy right now... we'll post an update in a month when we have driven the winner! read more

I recently bought a 1991 VW Vanagon from Pat Moore Quality Cars in Vancouver, Washington and I couldn't be happier with, not only the car but with the incredible customer service that they provided to me. I bought the vehicle site unseen from the other side of the country. I dealt directly with Pat and he was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, which due to the long distance ended up taking quite some time to complete. Never once did Pat try to take my money until he knew that I was completely satisfied with the deal. In my very first conversation with Pat about the Vanagon he disclosed what I have found to be the only blemish on the vehicle which is a tiny bubble in the paint about half the size of a dime. In our first conversation, Pat had urged me to find someone to at least come and check out the Vanagon for me. Eventually I hired a car inspection company to inspect the vehicle and to write up a lengthy report. Pat also insisted that the vehicle was brought to a mechanic for a once over and to replace a light bulb. The Vanagon was eventually shipped across country and it exceeded all of my expectations. The van was pristine. No smoke and mirrors. The twenty five photos that Pat had posted didn't even do it justice. Even after the purchase, Pat has been very supportive, following up and asking if there was anything that I needed. He even went so far as to ordering me a new interior light (which wasn't even broken but had a slightly sticky switch). If you are looking for a used car in the Vancouver/Portland area or from anywhere in the country, definitely check in with Pat Moore Quality Cars. These guys are the real deal. Pat is the easiest, nicest guy to deal with and I'm sure his entire staff is the same way. He made what could have been a terrible experience into a smooth and enjoyable one. Geez I don't even know where to start. I knew I wanted a Buick Enclave. I talked. With Pat Moore and was told the 2010 Enclave he had would score a 10 on a zero to ten scale. I drive a fair distance to see the vehicle and yes it was clean. The market average on this vehicle sells for $10,836. The above average is $12,883. The first thing I notice is the antenna is missing. The next thing I notice was the hatch back failed, next the heater doesn't work, the blower motor doesn't work and it leaks water onto my drivers floorboard when it rains. I'm thinking this is AC , evap case, blower motor and heater core. To get to the evap case will require removal of steering column and front seats and dash. It took 8 weeks to get my new tile they gave me a 4 week powertrain warranty. Anyway I wanted to just sell and get out from under it. He sold me the car for $15,950. Above average market is $12,800. It claimed it had 50K original miles so I bought it. The gas pedal rubber was missing which would have shown mileage. So I order a VIN check and find out he had just purchased the car for $14,900. The vehicle had been purchased three times and returned within less than a week each time. I also discover the true mileage is 133K miles. I also find four freaking recalls on the structure, airbag, seatbelts, hatchback and side window. Buick don't want the respinsibility of honoring multiple recalls nor did I want the problem dumped onto me. So now I can't resell it if I traded in I would lose huge value on the recalls alone. Mind you I paid $ 3,000.00 in taxes one plus $15, 900 which is $3,000.00 Above average market average. I called them to tell them about the interior water leak and the guy suggests it rains a lot here and it is common for vehicles to leak inside. I paid them cash $16, 000.00 after trying to negotiate a lower price. He would not budge. Said he don't play those games. Well games he did play just cost me my entire purchase and I am stuck with 4 unfixed safety recalls, inability to resell or trade in for a fair exchange. I am beyond sickened by this DEALER. read more

Purchased a vehicle here. Was great! Great experience, great salesman. Then we came back for another car, there was something wrong with it and the check engine light kept coming on. So they took it back in and "fixed" it. But it was there with them for 2 1/2 weeks and they gave me a car to drive in the meantime and I was afraid to open the trunk because it smelled like something died in the car. Then a little over a month after purchase the transmission blew while we were traveling. The people we took it to gave us a list of things that were wrong with the car that should not have passed the inspection done 1 month earlier. They said the steering was going out, and multiple other things that would make the car unsafe. I couldn't even believe I had been driving my family around in this car. Pat Moore refused to pay for any of the costs, diagnosis from that car lot, another night hotel, a missed hotel where we were headed, rental to get my family home etc. Then they told us since it had been over a month since the sale he would only pay half the cost of the transmission and he would not pay to do anything else because the vehicle passed his inspection a month ago.After a fight about that we did it. Went to the shop they sent us to. Had to replace the steering at about 9 months because there was a recall on the system. Transmission just took another shit just over 1 year from sale. I'd been looking for a very specific vehicle in a certain color and with a manual transmission...an Orion Blue Mercedes SLK 350. After 2 months of looking on at least 8 different sites daily and missing out on a couple because I didn't act fast enough, I finally found it at Pat Moore. I immediately filled out a credit application and called the next day. I spoke to Ray and he assured me that, even though I'm in St. Louis, MO and they're 2,000 miles away in Vancouver, WA, they would hold the car for me. And, even though they got a call a day or two later from someone in California who was willing to hop on a plane and be there the next day, they were true to their word and held the car for 2 weeks so I could get a better fare on my flight. In that two weeks, I'd spoken to Ray, Eric and Pat as I checked in periodically to let them know when I was arriving (because Ray even picked me up at the Portland airport) and to ask a question or two. Every one of them was friendly, helpful and easy to talk to, reassuring me repeatedly that the car was mine. During those 2 weeks, they had found a couple of things on the car that needed repairs, one was taken care of before I arrived, but the other needed a part that was hard to find. When I got to the dealership, I was so happy with the car that I couldn't stop grinning. They told me that the part they ordered hadn't arrived yet and because I wasn't able to wait in Portland/Vancouver, they would ship it to me when they got it and would pay to have it installed at a shop here in St. Louis. They were true to their word at every turn. The part got to St. Louis shortly after I did and my regular shop installed it, getting payment from Pat Moore for the installation. My dad was a used car dealer and I've been around dealers my whole life. There are good ones, not-so-good ones, and downright slime balls. These guys were fantastic. I love my "new" car...it runs great, looks fabulous, and the price was spot on. I wouldn't hesitate to send anyone to see Ray, Eric and Pat if they were looking for a good used car at a fair price. And because I was going to be driving it back to St. Louis by myself and there was a lot of rain in the forecast, Pat made me wait 10 minutes before I left so he could double coat the windshield with Rain-X.
