In March 2025, I purchased a car from Redline Auto Inc after being assured it was in great working condition. They claimed the transmission had been serviced the night before. The test drive was suspiciously short, but I trusted their word. However, within just 16 miles of driving home, the car started lurching. The issue worsened with further use, as the faulty transmission overheated and ultimately required replacement. I requested a refund of my cash down payment and offered to return the car after obtaining a proper diagnostic from a reputable dealership. The representative claimed he needed to consult the owner but told me not to call back because I was "wasting his time." A week later, he called to propose fixing--but not replacing--the transmission and expected me to cover half the cost. Naturally, I refused. That was the last I heard from them. This is a bare bones dealership with last-chance cars for people who have struggles due to credit and need cheap transportation. It has a place and a purpose in this land of the free, however, BUYER BEWARE. Thought I was getting a decent deal; not like "who-hoo, I am getting a great deal" ... but FAIR. Turns out, not so much. Stupid girl. If it was just the unpleasant disclosure which happened after I signed the papers (when the sales person said "don't forget that the alarm goes off every time you unlock the vehicle, so you have to start it right away) ... I could have remained quiet ... The agreed upon price for the car was $3500, he thought $700 for tires .. .turns out, I paid $4300. I figured, well, must have had DMV fees. However, they never sent me the plates (and I quote the salesperson after waiting around for thirty plus minutes "Looks like he's not coming back tonight - he went to get your plates. Want me to mail them to you?"). Now we sit - 1 month later, after multiple phone calls placed by me, my partner and the finance company, we finally received DMV information; all that was submitted to DMV was a title transfer. I have a unregistered vehicle. So, back to the tires ... within the first week, the brand new tires I had them put on went flat multiple times. I finally got the car to the tire shop which they chose and found out that not only did they not put the hazard warranty on the tires, despite me stating that I wanted tires with at least a 60K warranty. AND, I found out that my $700 tires were actually $500 tires. Sent registered mail to ask the owner of the company to resolve these issues (would not vent this out in public without trying first); he never retrieved the letter, it came back USPS as "return to sender, unclaimed" . read more

These people are scam artists. I answered a Craigslist add posted by JAMES KASPER... for a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I met James Kasper at Beaches restaurant to look at what he claimed was his Jeep. He said his wife drove it for almost a year and it was a good vehicle that he didn't really want to sell but his wife wanted something new. I asked to see the title and his ID to make sure everything was on the up and up. He showed me a title with his name on it and his ID, so I figured everything was ok (from what I can figure out he showed me a fake title) I went outside after talking with him and checked out the Jeep. Everything looked pretty decent at first when I inspected the jeep. He said that it needed a tune up really bad, but other than that it was a solid vehicle. He showed me a shop report that stated just that. All this thing needed was plugs and wires....that was a HUGE lie. Everything this guy was telling was a huge lie...I just didn't know that yet. I even took the jeep to auto zone and they said the codes that were showing up were just miss fires and it looked like it just needed a tune up. When we were buying the vehicle I handed him the money and he handed me paperwork instead of a signed title...he wanted me to run it though a car lot that he said he had to run it through because he bought the jeep originally with his dealers license at an auction, so to help protect me and to not get in trouble for selling it off the records I had to fill out paperwork saying basically that I bought it from his lot. I KNOW...SOUNDS SHADY. I should have known then that this was BS. I really liked the jeep and he swore to take care of any issues that might come up. We even went to his house and I met his family before this deal was done. He is a true scam artists. SCAM ARTIST. I can't believe I bought anything from this guy. I know better than that...but I honestly just wanted to buy a jeep so I could get out to the falls that weekend. I took it over to Everett Autoworks in Portland the next day and they had surprising news for me...the jeep I bought needed $2000 worth of work or the engine was going to die and never recover. They told me that someone had already givin it a tune up and the person selling it had to have known the head gasket was in BAD shape. I looked at the title again and James Kasper's name was not on it. Someone elses name was. The name had a phone number so I called it and got a elderly man on the phone who actually owned the car last. He traded it in at a brand new car lot because it needed way to much work to deal with a month before I bought it from James Kasper. A month? James Kasper told be he drove it for nearly a year and he knew it was a good jeep. LIES. James Kasper posts shitty cars from his lot on Craigslist saying they are his... but really they are directly from his run down horrible car lot. He put the wrong amount of money that I gave him on the bill of sales and I didn't notice. I can't even legally get all my money back if I tried because he scammed me there as well. DO NOT buy a car or truck from Victory Lane Motors OR James Kasper. They are all scam artists that will screw you over with the most elaborate BS you will ever see. I knew better but they got me. I have no choice but to pay for this thing to get fixed or I'm out a lot of money. James Kasper and Victory Lane Motors: Lied about the price on the paperwork. Finally said they could meet us if there was cash in hand, told him I wasn't paying cash, so I'd get a cashiers check. He didn't respond for a day and a half with a total (until a Sunday), when I couldn't even get a check, even though I said I needed to know Saturday before financial institutions closed. He said "I'll do my best." The price was $400 more than I could account for (taxes, truck, licensing), they wouldn't give a break down. Sent an email to these guys about a specific car they had for sale online. Never heard back. Their website said they open at 11:00 each weekday. Hmmmmm........ok. I drive there on a rainy day at 11:30 and the place is a ghost town. I had to get creative trying to dodge the lakes of water in their jammed parking lot, and in trying to sidestep and keep my feet dry I slipped in got mud all over myself, skinning my arm. When I finally got to the office there was a sign posting their opening time was 12:30. Yikes! Have never met these guys, and I rarely post negative reviews (honest!), but everything in my experience with them screamed 'fly by night enterprises'. Fucking scammers... talked to them all day about a Chevy avalanche they had listed on Craigslist and on their website.. listed in excellent condition, low miles and clean clear title and excellent strong running motor and transmission.. Talked to a lady first over the phone, she said she had a ton of people calling about it because it was in such great shape. Called back later and a man answered, told us same details the lady had described. Numerous body and interior photos. We drew out the cash and headed out (we live 3 hours away). Arrived at 6:30pm tonight to find they had lied to us about everything.. the miles were over 260,000, the windshield was shattered, every dash light was on for malfunctions they said weren't there and the engine had knocks and grinding and squealing. Confronted the man about the bullshit lies and he said 'sorry man, I wasn't the one you talked to today'.. this vehicle shouldn't even be on the road especially for the thousands they were trying to scam out of it.. This business completely lied to us to get us to the lot to try to sell us something else. The worst part is the lady and man who gave us all the details all day long conveniently bailed before we got there and left another guy there to deal with us and our rage for being lied to.. buyer beware of this business.. run far away! Used this company several times over the years. Bought a SUV with a couple of issues (Passenger side window button and something else minor), but you know. I kept the car for years and the owner got me a great deal on the car without bending me over like some dealerships would have. I am still driving the Mercedes (320 CLK) I bought a number of years ago. Drives great. No major problems ( a few minor) but based on the price I got, who cared for God's sake. DO NOT BUY from these scammers!! I purchased a vehicle from them May 31st. 2016 and the check engine light came on on my way home from the dealership. I took it to a shop on June 3rd to have the check engine light diagnosed and was told that the transmission was gone $3,500 --$5,000.00 repair. They also told me the timing belt had been replaced within the last 4 months (conveniently couldn't find the paper work for that repair after i drove an hour and a half). Now i am being told i also need to replace the timing belt. ($1,000.00). I have also had a compression test done on the Motor & had 4 cylinders at 160 one at 150 & one at 140; meaning the motor is also trash. When i called Victory Lane Motors to discuss these issues (June 3rd, Three days after purchase) they first ignored me and after calling numerous times was I told "to bad, deal with it" WORST car buying experience ever!!!!!!!!!!! I would have gotten more for my money by using it as a fire starter. UPDATE: I have found out they are known for clearing the warning/trouble lights from their vehicles (Check engine light etc.). First thing....we showed up at 10 AM, when it said they open. Not open. So we went across the street to look at another dealers cars. We saw that they finally opened around 10:30 AM so we went back. Took quite a while before someone greeted us. Not a good sign....then we said we wanted to take the car for a test drive. Car wouldn't start (was another not good sign) The guy jumped it and we took it out. Was a great car....1st gear was slipping a little so would have needed to get that checked out. We said we wanted to get it and we followed the guy into the office. This was a very cold and unfriendly place. Started the paperwork and he takes one look at it and said that my son doesn't make enough (which is probably true, but he had a hefty down payment) The guy still wasn't willing to work with us so I told him we would just go up the road to Hazeldell Motors because they have a great in-house financing plan. So that is exactly what we did. I will never go back here and after reading all the other reviews am glad that we didn't buy from them. read more

This place ripped me off for 3000, same situation as Robert H below, they advertised on craigslist as a private seller and then when you meet the person, mine guy's name is Tyler, if that is even his real name, and was told that the title was in his grandfather's name and his father owned a dealership and would do the paperwork. They wrote the wrong amount on the bill of sale, called me later for more money, in this case 1,000, and did not redo the bill of sale, which cheats the State of WA out of revenue. I contacted the Att Generals office and we a hoping that others who fell for the same scam will file a complaint with the Attorney Generals's office, as we need to show a pattern of their misdeeds. I have documented everything, from text messages promising that service was done at Mercedes at 130,000, which was never done, to all complaints filed against them and their other businesses where Michael G Chaney or Michael G Chaney Jr is the owner, the other complaints are at the BBB with their company Affordable NW Exteriors, and complaints against the dealership at buildzoom.com, so anyone else out there, please send me a message and let's stop their deception. They even violated the truth in mileage act, listing the mileage as 0.0 on the bill of sale. The Att General was very interested in this aspect.
