Never again! This is not the way I want to be treated when I'm PAYING someone to do a job. Didn't come when scheduled. Rescheduled 2 to 3 times. I talked to two different girls and a guy. No one seemed to know what the others had told me. No courtesy calls to say we're running late.They called an hour or hour and a half after they were due. Even today, I was told 10:15 am, at around 12:00 I called them and was told 1:00, at 1:40 I called Groupon and finally complained. I think Groupon got on the phone with them and 2 techs showed up after 3. I didn't want them to touch my car, but Pat-N-Polish wouldn't give me back the money I had to pay to reinstate my groupon. ( I had no idea what I was getting into, believe me I would have taken a loss) My Groupon had expired unbeknowing to me. They charged me $40 to reinstate the Groupon. When I told Groupon this, they were surprised. When my son was talking to Jc outside, he told him that he "would spend two to three hours on a 'full pay customer' but that grouponers weren't looking for quality, but a price." ( I want quality if you want my business) When I pointed out that a door was still dirty while he was getting ready to WAX it (this was about 15 minutes after they started), he got upset and told me "I haven't done this side yet.." and "if you don't like it, I can pack my gear up and pay for the treatment myself." I replied that I wasn't trying to argue with him, and he snapped back with "I don't need to argue, I live on a 100 acre ranch.." Yet he was complaining that they worked for tips and implied that they were hurting financially? Makes perfect sense! He told us he was a professional and has been doing this for 20 or so years. He wanted to know if I was satisfied, I ok'd it, to be rid of him and this company. The windows aren't clean, he claims it's something on the glass. The wax was sprayed on and wiped off right away using a rag. It looks like a mat finish. Streaks and swirls. I took a pic of the dirty bumper that still has a bug hanging off the car and leaves in the wiper. The rest didn't show in my picture, so he has his pictures which won't show the dirt, swirls or streaks either. Yes, he says he took 15 pictures when done. I had already told them I would be taking pictures. Oh, one of the first comments was him telling me I should have received an email asking me to take the stuff out of my car and to tip generously. Please know that this business is operating by at least 4 names that I have found, all with websites but the same phone number. (804) 615-0015 SHADY! Just google the phone number and you find "A Touch of Class", Pat-N-Polish, Spotless Express, etc. They use all these names to run Groupons or Amazon Local promos. I got two at Christmastime as gifts to myself and spouse. However, several months later when I call to schedule, they tell me next available is almost 2 months out. They say they won't do both separately because "it isn't worth it to them, no profit margin". Seriously. Wait almost 7 weeks, they cancel due to weather. TO CLEAN THE INSIDE ONLY OF OUR CARS. They want to reschedule, VERY RUDE on phone having to answer my questions. I rescheduled then got to thinking, I don't want to deal with them any more. I check my Groupons and both show as REDEEMED! So I wrote Groupon, told them about the awful service and delays, got refunds on both groupons, Groupon rocks. Today, they called me to ask why I cancelled my groupons / service. I told them I wasnt a customer any longer we didn't need to talk. They then tried to keep me on phone by saying they had a $500 check for me for my troubles. I said no thanks. My mom purchased a Groupon for my dad as a gift - when my dad tried to schedule the service it took quite a few phone calls to get anyone to call him back, sometimes my dad couldn't even leave a message because the mailbox was full. Finally got the service scheduled, after being treated very rudely on the phone by the owner (Mike), who felt he had to give my dad a lesson in customer service (huh!?!, you're the one not returning phone calls!!) On the day of the appointment, the tech arrived 3 hours late. At least she called to communicate about the delay though. The package they bought from Groupon was the "Extreme Steam sanitation service with carpet and upholstery shampooing"...BUT the tech showed up without a steamer, without a shampooer, without a water source, without a power source. So they are using our water and electricity for a supposedly mobile service, and cleaning with rags instead of the sanitation service we purchased. Tried to call the owner back to discuss why we weren't getting the package we bought, and surprise surprise his mailbox is full again! EDIT: OK so my dad sent an email to the owner after he couldn't get through on the phone, and when the representative called back (JC is his name), he called my dad's cell phone 5 times in a row repeatedly (my dad was on a business call and couldn't pick up his cell immediately) and he then proceeded to complain about the bad deal he gets for his business from the Groupon coupons (then why offer them?) and that he was recording this conversation to use in future litigation against us, and told my dad that he sounded gay. I am writing this review for the phone number 804-615-0015. The company that was attached to it as of 4-17-19 is called Mobile Auto Detailing (that's what the van said and the number was on it). I have a 2014 Honda Odyssey minivan with 3 kids. You can only imagine the amount of food and trash that was in my van. I clean it from time to time but it has been over 2 years since it got really detailed. These guys did a good job. Wax they used is great. Leaves a very high shine and reflection. Wheel gloss is also very high end. My only gripe is that the seats did not get a leather treatment and there was dried soap on my windshield that I did not notice until after they left. I purchased a groupon. They cancelled my first two appointments about four hours before they were supposed to show up. The showed up (45 minutes late) the third time. I had the extreme steam sanitation. This took less than 20 minutes. Meaning, 20 minutes between the tech knocking on my door saying he was here, and him knocking on the door to say they were done. When they drove off (notice I didn't say "finished"?), they left two doors totally open, my headlights on, and one door partially shut. I have a car, btw, that dings at you when the headlights are on....sooo yeah. When I got in my car two hours later to drive it, the seats were SOAKING wet, to the point that it soaked through my pants, through my underwear, and made the back of my legs burn and itch. The website called the steam sanitation "Eco-friendly." The smell was so bad, that on the 20 minute drive with all windows all the way down, I had a massive headache when I arrived at my destination. The seats were still dirty. There was water sitting in the cup holders, there was dust on parts of the dash, there was still a dead bug in the back window. When you get your car detailed, you expect them to, idk, pay attention to the details? There was no way that my car was actually steam cleaned. There was still too much dirt in it. Also, you know how when you pull up the car mats on upholstered floors, they have the little dot imprints? There were still dot imprints. With the amount of dirt left, you couldn't really pretend it was well vacuumed...but, come in, you left the imprint? Seriously? With the groupon, I paid 40$. I didn't not even receive $20 worth of cleaning, never mind having to reschedule twice. I don't know if it is because they rushed me since they were running late, or of they always do a halfway job, but, regardless, I will never use then again, and you shouldn't either. I had an appointment on 10/2/2014 @ 10am. After waiting for 30 min, I called to inquire about my appointment. They said they would look into it and call me back. After 30 minutes I called them back. They stated my appoimtment was for 10/9/2014. I decided to give them the benefit of doubt. On 10/4/2014 I received a call saying they had to reschedule my appointment because it was raining. When I told the person that my appointment was for 10/9, he stared no it's for 10/4. When I received a phone call back I was told that there were two people with my (unusual) first and last name on that week and my appointment was actually for 10/9 at 10am. 10/9/14 Today I called 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment and stated that I had a 10 AM appointment and no one was there please call me back because I had taken a half a day off of work to be there. I received a call back 15 minutes later. jc stated that my appointment was between 10-12. I explained that I was told on October 2 and October 4 that my appt. was for 10am. jc then said what do you expect for $49, you get what you pay for. I said that was ridiculous and he then proceeded to mock and belittle me. I explained to him that I had used their service in the spring and was pleased with it and was looking forward to using them again until now. I asked for a refund. He continued to insult me. My experience is identical to the rest of the one-star reviews. To begin: Mike Miller is behind the 0015 phone number, and he is a genuine loon. Let me illustrate. When Auto Detailing Group failed to return my phone calls, Mike blamed me. Somehow it was my fault for not calling enough in the first place. I chalked it up to emotional neediness, and moved on. When Auto Detailing missed their first appointment, I received one phone call with no voicemail. I called that number back after 3 minutes and a voice told me "this number has been disconnected." Of course, I am forced to believe Mike's phone self-destructed after he dropped it in the urinal. I can be patient with that. When Auto Detailing missed their second appointment, Mike asked if I got his email. I hadn't, because Mike failed to send it to the correct email. According to Sweet Mike, that, too, was my fault. When Auto Detailing missed their third appointment, Mike waited three days to call me. I am very excited to blow off some Christmas steam on Mike here in a moment. There is a high probability of mild profanity and personal character assassinations, likely from Mike. I purchased a groupon for a $39 mobile extreme steam sanitation service about last November 2013. It expired in June of 2014 and I attempted to use the voucher then. They immediately redeemed it and said as long as it was in their system I could use it for the actual service and not just the value. They came out to see my car in like July. They told me then that they would need more time to clean my car and that it was about to rain so they set another time to come back out. It never rained that day. We had to reschedule several times after that for rain. I stopped thinking about it. Every once in awhile I'd call to set up an appt and I was told I'd get a call back from someone to arrange a time in date. There original number has changed a few times. I had to call Groupon to get it. The last few times I attempted to set up anything , one was in October. The guy tried to argue with me about why i redeemed my voucher. Not relevant. Said they'd have a manager call me. That never happened. Actually called and hung up yesterday bc i decided to go through groupon and they actually called me back. Yesterday, I spoke to the rudest person on the planet. He accused me of being a liar. Wanted to know how i redeemed a voucher and reminded me that it was November and my voucher had been redeemed in June. No duh! that's why im calling! All I wanted to know was what they were going to do about cleaning my car since they had already received their money. He told me they only made $12 on Groupons and that they were a $100k a year business. Doesn't matter to me how much money you make when your customer service sucks and you rip people off. This company is a complete scam and deserves no stars. DO NOT USE THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. My father booked an appointment with Pat-N-Polish through Groupon to have my car cleaned at 8:30 am. I waited until 9:30 and no one showed up. I called the number that I found online for this company and asked if they were coming. They said the appointment was at noon, not 8:30. This was wrong, but I said fine -- I will see you at noon. At 12:45, they were still no shows and so I called again. The representative, named "JC," proceeded to switch back and forth between saying they would be there in six minutes and that I would need to reschedule. I asked to cancel the appointment all together citing horrible customer service, to which JC responded "fine, we will charge your father's credit card and additional $250.00." I told JC this is absurd, they cannot do that and asked for his last name for my records. He proceeded to call me a psychopath. I then asked to speak to the manager, who said his name was "Mike Miller." Mr. Miller also said that he would be charging the card $250.00 and when I objected he said that he would summons my father and hung up the phone. My father then called and they told him that they indeed would be charging the card $250.00 and "we will see you in court." I then filed a complaint with customer service department at Groupon and was told by a friendly representative that the merchant review board will be reviewing Pat-N-Polish within the next 30 days and would take necessary action. I purchased a full detail for an SUV on groupon. I called two weeks ago to get on the schedule and they were to email me with dates and never did. Then I called back and left a message. They called me Sunday morning on Mother's Day to see if I was around to have car detailed that same day and I agreed that afternoon I would be available. JC said her would call me in ten minutes. Never called back. I finally called yesterday, Monday to see if I could get ilon the schedule. They said June.! I said never mind but then JC said what about tomorrow afternoon at 4. I got a promise that they would come on May 28, I called that morning and confirmed and again a no show. I called next morning and they said a crew was on way, though no reason was given as to why appointment was missed. After arriving home I surveyed at most a halfway done job. I had to schedule and reschedule 5 different times before someone finally showed up. 2 appointments were simply missed, the others were canceled or changed the day of or day before. Once someone finally came, the gentleman was very nice and apologetic. Unfortunately though he didn't do a good job cleaning my car. The outside looked great, but the inside was still dusty and dirty. He missed quite a few spots vacuuming and dusting and didn't take time to clean the little details that "detailing" is supposed to do. I only wish that I had checked Yelp before puchasing this Groupon. I called for weeks without reaching them and eventually called Group to intercede. They called me back and said they would have a scheduler call, which never happened. I had to call them again and I had one of the rudest customer service experience I have ever had. The man was very aggressive and told me that they are through with Groupon because they only make $12 per car. He kept interrupting me and told me that I was on a recorded line. It was very strange. I actually called Groupon back and asked them to listen to the call if it was in fact recorded. On my appointment day, they showed up at my husband's office hours late and spent a total of 50 minutes on the car. I invested much more than 50 minutes just trying to set the appointment. It was a 2 month wait before they could come. The 1st appt. they called and were running late. Called 4 hrs. later and said they couldn't get equipment to work on their truck. Rescheduled. 2nd appt. they called at the crack of dawn, (I guess so I would still be asleep and not know what they weather was outside) and said it was getting ready to rain. 100% chance the guy said. To make it up to me, they were coming in 2 weeks and would give me a "free" carpet and upholstery cleaning. I got up and looked outside and it was not a cloud in sight. On the 3rd try, appt. was for 11:30 a.m. At Noon they called (same guy every time) and said they were behind and wouldn't get here until 12:30. It's now 3:30 and no one has shown up or called. I called groupon and they are going to refund me. Oh, and when he called at noon, he said "get everything out of the car". I told him this would be the 3rd time I had gotten everything from the car, including 2 baby car seats!! He said "Oh, that happens all the time. We can't predict the weather". Can I leave zero stars? First off let me say that I usually don't leave reviews. If something is exceptionally great, I probably will. If it's so-so, to good, probably not. If it's way below expectations, I mean really poor, I'll take the time and effort to warn off others. I had a service (disservice actually) today from Pat-n-Polish. My wife had gotten a coupon on Amazon Local as a gift for an SUV detailing. There's lots of local outfits. That do this, they're all about the same price, so she figured give the small guy some business, and it's a half off deal. I got the gift in winter, figuring we'd get the SUV cleaned up for spring. This had been a rough winter and it didn't let up until late April. So we called to set up an appointment. We got an answering machine that messaged that we'd hear back next day. We didn't do we tried again in a few days. We got a service that took our information and would pass it along. Finally got an appointment set up for mid-May, but had to cancel a week or so before as things came up on our end. Then we started the phone tag process over again. Since the weather was nice, they were booked up and couldn't get to use until 1st week in July. No problem, I totally understand. The coupon was for an SUV detail with interior cleaning and detailing and exterior wash, wax and buffing. Pretty standard stuff. They scheduled for 9AM, at 10:30 they called and said they'd be late (really?!) and got here around 11:30. I was expecting a van with pressure washers, vacuum cleaner, random orbital buffer; the usual tools of the trade. (Look at their website, they even show pictures of folks using power buffers!) Some of the outfits even have generators to supply power for all their equipment. Not these guys. The two come up in an old Datsun (nothing against Datsun - now Nissan) with the windows rolled down (no AC - it was in the 90's today) and need to plug in their vacuum cleaner and hook up to the garden hose. OK, not an issue. They washed the cars (yep, my wife got an Amazon Local coupon for her SUV too - but I'll let he tell her own story) with the garden hose with the tomato watering head (long wand with the gentle rain shower spray). I would have given them the nozzle if the at least asked. It was about the same quality wash as my 15 year old would do (maybe not as good), but certainly below expectations. The inside (which they spent a lot of time on) was a bit better, but still had the little bits of sandy earth that collect still in the corners after they were done. They did a good job on the windows they did do, but only got the driver's side front window and 3 of the 4 side windows. That's 4.5 out of 6. They proudly came to the front door to ask me to check how great they did. Here's where it get sad (and funny in a twist sort of way)... This is a daily driver and sits outdoors many nights. I do wash it every week or two weather permitting, but really on do a deep detail once a year (hence the gift to save me the time), it's usually the bulk of a Saturday afternoon. There's a seam over the back hatch hinge area that collects little twigs and leaves and stuff (just like at the cowl edge at the bottom of the front window). It's a bit of a pain to get in there to clean (small brush or rag edge), but most of it gets hosed out with the washing. Oh right, gentle rain sprayer. I opened the hatch and all the bits and leaves were still in there. I'm actually glad they didn't clean it out as there was a small tree frog hiding trying to keep out of the sun (yes, he was rescued and is back in the woods now). They "cleaned" that out and called me for a recheck. We'll there was enough brake dust on the front wheels to make a nice slice through with my finger. Round three coming up. How about the streaks and now dried dirt drip areas? "Where, I don't see that." Why is there still grit between all the trim moldings? "We can't get in there." I always keep an old toothbrush for getting the dirt out of (the pressure from a hose nozzle works most of the time) and for getting the wax out of the cracks and crevices. Wax...wasn't that part of the service. "We don't do that." It says so right in the confirmation email as well as on the coupon that describes the service we're contracted to get. "We don't have any wax". I do, you can use mine. "We don't do that." The bright side is that they didn't wax over dirt. And I didn't get sucked into paying the "full $179 value" for this. As a parting gift, they left a nice oil stain on the driveway concrete under their car. Fortunately, there's still some sealer left so it came up with about 1/2 hour of scrubbing and flushing (with the pressure nozzle, not the tomato sprayer). Looks like when it cools off this evening, I'll wash and wax and do the usual detail myself, like every year. And tomorrow, I get to do the wife's SUV (hers is only about 6 months old, so it's not a tough one at all). read more
