Nice environment with outstanding beef & wine. I bet you will love it. Waiter and Waitress are polite and professional. When they serve fries to me, they asked whether I need the ketchup. So nice.

Had to take a break from Spain's tapas and paellas and searched for a steakhouse. My dish was so good I wanted to go back for the remaining if my stay in Barcelona! We started with mouth watering beef empanadas. I had the steak medallion with foie gras, the sauce it came with was a perfect balance! Ordered a bottle of Rioja and finished with amazing desserts and paired with ports! Writing this review makes my mouth water...take me back!

FYI they don't use the yelp check in included coupon anymore but the service food and cleanliness was definitely authentic and worth the visit, Especially if you're looking for a ribeye ;) furthermore, you can comfortably split the ribeye course for two. The bottles of wine are extremely inexpensive. We had such a great amazing experience. Highly recommend.

So I decided to bump up my national U.S. steakhouse tour and take it international. Amidst all the tapas and other culinary selections in Barcelona, I decided to grab a steak. A ribeye to be exact (surprise, surprise). Overall, I'd give the meal 3 stars. I've become accustomed to more marbling in my ribeye; this Argentinian/Spanish version was less fatty, though still definitely juicy. Oddly enough, I ordered the grilled potatoes with cheese sauce as a side dish, and they brought out a baked potato with sour cream and chives. That wouldn't have been my selection had I known. Service was attentive and the salad bar had good, but few options. The server did recommend an excellent Malbec to pair with the steak, so maybe I'll bump up to 3.5 stars. Probably worth a visit if you want a break from tapas.

    Veal was good

Ok our last nite in barcelona we were tired and ready just eat quickly so we can have an early nite, went on yelp and found this restaurant right across the street from our hotel. We ordered the ribeye for 2 and veal bread for appetizer. Veal was amazing soft n fatty. Ribeye was not so good it was tough and bland, it didnt feel like eating ribeye it was hard and had a lot of ligaments as you will see in the pic. i have made better ribeyes at home. If it wasnt for the veal it wud have been 1 star. We should have just ordered room service.

Excellent service and good food. The beef here is cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning. The restaurant is located across the street from Hotel Indigo Barcelona, and just a few blocks from La Rambla, Gothic City and Plaza Catalunya. If your looking for great service and excellent this place will not disappoint.

Well, that "was" my steak. Could have licked the plate ...

What a wonderful find, in a place filled with tapas and jamon and then more tapas and jamon. I mean, we needed a steak, and Patagonia knocked it out of the park. Like, I need to plan a trip to Argentina for a steak, out of the park. It's a nice restaurant that had I not been a tourist, I would have felt underdressed in my shorts, tee and sneakers. But, all diners were dressed that way, so I didn't feel out of place. We started with the empanadas, which are a flavorful start. For salads, it is a straightforward salad bar where you serve yourself. My boyfriend ordered the bife chorizo (sirloin) with a pepper sauce and I did the Lomo (filet) with mushrooms to top. There was a snafu with us receiving the wrong steaks and thus putting the wrong toppings on them (BF is medium well steak and hates mushrooms and I'm a rare steak gal). The waiter was amazing and whisked them away to correct. It is that sort of treatment that makes a restaurant stand out. Once we received the correct steaks, they were divine. Amazing flavor and cooked to perfection. The mushroom topping for mine had a variety of mushrooms with a rich sauce. Evidently my boyfriend really liked his - when I finally looked up from hoovering my steak, he was also done with his. We did accompany the meals with a bottle of Malbec, which was wonderful and a perfect partner to the steaks and meal. Last - but definitely not least - was dessert. Dulce de leche stuffed pancake with ice cream. Yes, you read that right. Oh. My. Delicious. Sweet ice cream with warm pancakes. If you're in Barcelona and need a steak you just must go here. And, I'm pretty sure I need to go to Argentina if this is a true representation of their beef!

Argentinian rib eye steak with grilled vegetables. This is only half a portion.

About average for the price you pay. The service was fantastic and the food was good but you certainly pay for it. An average sized Argentinian rib eye or tenderloin for one will run you more than 30€. I highly recommend getting the Argentinian sausage as an appetizer. That was by far the best part of the meal. The chimichurri was delicious and definitely added another level of flavor to the meats. Great selection of wine and the interior is very classy and well decorated. We really wanted to eat at the highly praised Argentinian steakhouse Parrilla Alfonsina but reservations were completely booked for the night. We had to settle on Patagonia but still had an overall enjoyable meal.

Please stay tuned because our experience is a bit bizarre, and when I say bizarre, I do not mean bad; our experience was absolutely fantastic. It just took an unusual twist. We have been to Mr. Porter twice. The first time was over a year ago, and the second was just recently. The first time had been a very busy day, just seeing all the wonderful sights of Barcelona. At the end of an absolutely fantastic day, we were famished and wanted a great meal and something romantic. After checking local reviews, we decided Mr. Porter would fit exactly what we were looking for. Turning on the GPS, we walked to Mr. Porter and found a very exotic entrance with an intriguing sign and logo. Opening up the large doors and entering the gateway to what was a very exotic even sexy entrance to what would certainly be a charming and romantic experience. At the end of the hallway we stepped through a black curtain to the hostess, a woman completely decked out in a black evening gown. She asked if we had reservations. Fear and trepidation overtook us as we replied no; she smiled and said I have something special for you. She seated us at a large booth in a corner that was ideal for a romantic dinner. The ambiance was perfect, and the candlelight made things even more charming. The service was impeccable and what you would expect from a five-star restaurant. Our dinner that night was absolutely spot on, with us splitting the Porthouse. Perfect char, temperature, and flavor. The wine was ideal and not pricey. Dessert was served on a salt block, which was intriguing. It was enough that we now cook with a salt block at home. As mentioned, service was amazing. Right there at the perfect time never there too much. We finished the night with stars in our eyes. Fast forward to this last trip. Needless to say, we love Barcelona. I mean, who wouldn't! Last time here we stayed at the Le Meridien, and this time we were staying at Sir Victor. Sir Victor and Mister Porter are attached. So when you check into the hotel, you can see into Mr Porter. However, from this view, the restaurant entrance is totally different. Wide open, well lit, and a bar that is now the focal point. It feels different. We were up for an interactive dinner and chose to make a reservation for the chef's counter. Once again, the service was five-star, and the food and the atmosphere were just unbelievable. Oh oh oh soooo good! Engagement at the chef's counter was a special treat. This was so good yet oh so different. We actually thought we were at a different location. We thought it was a second Mr. Porter location in Barcelona. When leaving, we told the hostess we had an incredible evening, and we were glad that we were able to try both of their Barcelona restaurants. She smiled and said we only have one. I was like, no, the one we were at before had this great exotic entrance, red lighting, very sexy; you come through a curtain and very romantic tables. Her smile was bigger, and in professional tones she said Come with me. We followed to a long black curtain; she pulled it back and asked whether the entrance had looked like this. Oh my yes, yes it did! She walked, and we followed. Perhaps you sat here? The restaurant took on a completely different look. We laughed; she laughed. Same restaurant a year later, totally different vibe and appearance. So much so we thought it was a different spot. We can't wait to go back. One of our favorite restaurants in the world. Try it and have your own very unique experience.

Beautiful place -- the concept, the look, the decor... honestly, chef's kiss…read more The 2-hour window to eat and enjoy your meal kind of sucks, though, and it definitely makes you feel a bit rushed. I did love the concept of being able to grill your meat a little more if you prefer it that way. Unfortunately, I didn't have the best experience with the service. We were a table of 4 and wanted to share a few appetizers before getting our own main dishes. The server quickly shut us down and told us we were ordering too much food. We explained that we were very hungry, but he insisted we were asking for too much and actually refused to take our order. It turned into a bit of an uncomfortable argument because we simply wanted to order what we wanted to eat. Eventually, we had to reduce the number of plates we were ordering just so he would take our order. I ordered an appetizer, but when I tried to order my main dish, he again refused because he said it was too much food. At that point, I just decided to eat from my friend's plate instead. Then, after telling us we were ordering too much, one of my friends was still hungry and wanted to order the steak. Suddenly, the issue was that it was going to take too long to prepare. So first we were told we were ordering too much, and then when we wanted to add a steak later, we were told it would take too long. We eventually managed to order it, accompanied by a pretty obvious eye roll. And to top it all off, when we asked for dessert -- one each -- the server seemed genuinely shocked that four people wanted four desserts instead of sharing one. Honestly, the whole experience was just very weird and uncomfortable. I felt judged the entire time based on how much we wanted to order, and I've never had a server refuse to take my order because they thought I was ordering too much food. The food itself was good, but the service really took away from the experience. Between that and the strict 2-hour window, I'm not sure I'd go back or recommend it, which is a shame because the place itself is absolutely beautiful.

Never again and I cannot imagine this being anywhere close to a 4 star meal.
