I wanted to stop in to this Patagonia store specifically to see if they had a sticker for my friend, who collects them. (Most Patagonia stores have a sticker with the city name on it!) I found them pretty quickly - they were just sitting out on the counter so I snagged one. The store is quite large and we took some time to browse - I wasn't really looking for anything specific, but it's always nice to be able to see products in person. They had a good sale section. I loved the local recommendations sprinkled on chalkboards throughout the store - so helpful! I also loved that we were greeted when we came in - it's a small gesture but can really make a difference when visiting businesses and I always appreciate it. read more

This was the first ever Patagonia store I had ever been in. It's located in the Church Street Marketplace. The store is huge with clothing available for men, women and kids. There were tops, shorts, shirts, fleece, jackets, hats and a lot of winter gears. The store was a super clean and tidy. There was a nice sit down table in the middle of the store. We found some nice UV proof beach shirts for our daughter. I also liked a t-shirt and a winter fleece, but the size didn't fit me. So we bought the kid's t-shoes from the store. As expected the prices were on the higher end, as it's Patagonia. But the quality totally makes up for the price. The staff assisted us with fitting rooms, size queries and checkout process. They were very friendly and helpful. read more

I bought on line. my only complaint is that both Patagonia and this store, independently owned, not by Patagonia, have websites starting with the word Patagonia, which is confusing. I thought I was buying from the main Patagonia website, not an individual independent store that is not owned by Patagonia and with a much narrower selection than the online Patagonia. once I realized my mistake I found the main Patagonia website, which had double the color choices of this store, including a couple I liked better than what I bought. To their credit, the Burlington store answers their phone promptly, by a nice and effective person, and facilitated a return. so if in Burlington I'd definitely visit this store, but shopping on line I think Patagonia corporate is the better option. reading other reviews it sounds like the Burlington store experience is great. read more

Oh man. You can't hire someone that makes customers comfortable as soon as they walk in. Of course you can hire qualified employees but this store is lucky to have hired a staff that just naturally makes you feel comfortable checking out there merchandise without the feeling that they're trying to sell you on something. My husband and I tried to enter this store today, we were fully masked and ready to disinfect our hands. A gentleman at the door asked us if we have been out of VT in the past two weeks. Well, we are visiting from NY so we were honest and told him "yes, we're visiting". He then asked us if we were vaccinated. We said no, and he told us we were unable to enter the store. Ok, we quietly left. I would never shop there again and I will be contacting corporate. In regards to your response, we had no trouble entering the state when we checked in to our resort. And no trouble leaving or coming back on the ferry. read more

The floor staff is always very helpful and they have a great selection of patagonia gear. Highly recommended. PS. The older gentleman at the cash register needs some training on how to treat customers and staff. read more

The help there didn't know what I was looking for but the owner was there and he took me immediately to it. Bought two pair, out the door. I'm not opposed to $15/hour wages but the person working there is a great example of why it's opposed. If the owner wasn't there he would have missed out on $200 in sales but you think that mattered to the employee? Ima go out on a limb and say "no." Cheers! read more

I've had nothing but positive experiences at this Patagonia no matter if I end up buying something or not! It's independent and owned by locals, which makes me feel great for supporting their business. I really appreciate the staff here and am very loyal to the Patagonia brand - they hands down make the best fleeces and vests! Definitely stop in. read more

Anyone who knows Patagonia knows that they make quality products for a variety of purposes. Their jackets are of superior quality and their organic cotton products are very comfortable, surpassing competitors such as LL Bean. The Burlington location is no exception, and is slightly more favorable as the location is family owned. They were even steam-cleaning returned merchandise which was comforting to see. I was annoyed at my experience at this particular location however. There is an older, portly man who is either the manager or owner of the store, who interrogated me as soon as I entered the store and looked around for 30 seconds. He watched me and my friend like a hawk stalking a mouse as we browsed, which made me feel very uncomfortable. I did end up buying a jacket that I intended to buy from the beginning, but I might have bought one of their godly flannels too had I not been forced out by this man's negative energy. read more

Just want to say that this is the kindest and most helpful group of retail workers I've ever encountered. As a mom with twins visiting stores with young babies is challenging. This location is spacious and welcoming and there's a great kids' section. read more

These folks are incredible!!!! I brought a Patagonia rain jacket into the store that was delaminating around the collar. I bought this jacket in 2009 and didn't think I was going to get anything other than a run down of they're new models, but instead I walked out with a new jacket at no charge. I want to thank the employee that helped me. I asked for his name, but was so ecstatic, I forgot it by the time got out of the store. You made my day!!! read more

Ugh, this is *not* an official Patagonia store! Despite the name. This is just a store which is an "authorized" retailer for Patagonia items. So be warned: they do not offer the same return policy as the official Patagonia stores. The store return policy was 14 days. And -- unlike the official Patagonia stores -- they do not accept returns of items purchased on Patagonia.com. Last time I was there, a customer was trying to return some Patagonia items to the store, and had no idea that this was not an actual Patagonia store. She was confused and upset, and it was awkward. That said, this seems like a nice little place, nice and helpful people working here, and seems to carry legitimate merchandise. Also seems to have good sales and discounts. Just keep the tough return policy in mind. I'd only recommend this store if you are already in Burlington. Boston's official Patagonia store is better. read more

Please Please Please.....This store knows the meaning of service and dedication. I was amazed to see that the reps not only know their business but appreciate the customer as well. This might not be known but places like Burton, provide terrible service and are not that bright when it comes to customer satisfaction. Their managers are not like Patagonia. Burton Snowboard managers are rather timid and scared to resolve issues dealing with their products which is why I decided to carry my business to Patagonia. Thank you Patagonia, you never know how good a company is till you need a replaced item, a knowledgeable customer service rep or cash back. My experience with you has replace my faith in good business. Please don't go through my experience with Burton Snowboards, you will pay overpriced rates for poor defective material and receive poor service from their folks. Patagonia Burlington has hands down the best customer service I've ever experienced as a shopper. Their staff members are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, knowing exactly how to outfit you for all of your adventuring needs. For the last several years, I've used Patagonia products on every adventure from the beach to the mountains and I could not be happier with their gear (which has led to a slight obsession and a full Patagonia Burlington wardrobe for every season but with the great energy of this particular shop, it's hard to avoid coming back for more). This store is run by Skirack, a Burlington outdoors store, but still has the great Patagonia feel. The employees were incredibly friendly and informative, and they had some really great gear on sale. Often when there are Patagonia sales I find it difficult to get the best colors or to get things in my size, but I did not have that problem here. Overall it was a great shopping experience - worth a visit, as is the Skirack. read more
