That's not this guy. The owner is old school: direct, unchatty, and honest. He tells you when you don't need something - actually preventing sales. He helps you avoid the Amazon-too-many-choices problem by stocking ~ 2 choices for shoes and often 1 choice for other products (this actually can be helpful - no need to weed through hundreds of fake reviews). He gives you what you need and you're done. Here's a typical experience (after multiple visits): me walking in smiling and chatty. I ask for XYZ. He - not smiling and not chatty - gets me XYZ with minimal fuss and fanfare. I check out. That's it. Prices aren't too bad and it's nice to go someplace local, where he has what you need and you walk out with what you need and sized correctly. The prices are not that high when you factor in the quality of the items and the expected number of uses: the value proposition shouldn't be compared against fast fashion.

I have worn these clogs every day for the semester and I was able to stand long hours even while pregnant. They are truly water proof, very comfortable and anti-slip. I informed her that I had intended to buy the socks and that my mother was ill, but she continued shouting and humiliating her and insisting we leave.
