Walked into this store August 20, 2024 in the early afternoon. Walked around the store three times. During this time, the two young female dingbats behind the counter were more interested in talking than helping anyone. A few more people came in and they just stood there taking. Never again will I shop here. I went nextdoor to Patagonia and gave them $600 for the items I needed. Get a clue Fjällräven. In order to sell your overpriced garbage, it might help if you hired people who can interact with potential customers. These two were flat out pathetic. read more

Can't find the YELP page for the Seaport branch, but bought a jacket from there recently (G-1000 $350). Love the jacket, it's light and with the recently snow day, it was put to the test. I didn't feel cold at all and it's almost like the snow bounces off the jacket. It has 4 front pockets (2 for hands and 2 top for items). There's also 2 pockets on the inside for items as well. My main concern to share with everyone is the arm length. The small fits well, but too tight for me. Medium is just right, but the arm length is just a bit long (also heard it's a common complaint) even though I tried their other products. Never spent this much on a jacket before, but I will take extreme care of it until my annual re waxing of the jacket. read more

I had a jacket i got for the holiday from my mother in law and didn't have the receipt but David and Lucy both were so helpful and accommodating in getting my jacket exchanged for a larger size no problem. I did a commission for this specific store back in 2019 where I designed buttons for them to hand out during an event. The buttons were not made due to time restraints (last minute response meant buttons would not be shipped on time) but the designs were done on time as promised. I was to be paid about 50$ for the two designs and then never heard again. I reached out several times through email hoping to get a response but did not. At this time I've given up on getting that payment but for anyone else who may want to do commissioned work for this store you may want to think twice. read more

I was so happy to find see a Fjallraven store on Newbury Street! I hadn't seen a Kraken backpack since I last visited the store rue des Ecole in Paris...a few years ago. I immediately picked an adorable Kraken Mini for myself in light blue, and Nina, the store manager who was very knowlledgeable and nice, helped me pick a size and color for my husband. I got him an Orange/Brick Maxi because that's what so fun about Fjallraven Krakens, the colors, and I wanted a larger one for him. Turns out my husband wanted to see what other colors and sizes they had so we went back a few weeks later, and Nina was very helpful again. We exchanged it for a Graphite, which is a beautiful color between slate blue and gray. More muted, but very hip. The weird thing is that to do a color exchange, they had to refund the original transaction and then charge me again for the whole thing. OK. A couple of weeks later, and still no refund appeared on my credit card. So I called the store and spoke to Jenny, who went above and beyond to help me clear up the refund issue. Turns out they had issued the refund but it was retroactive with the date of my original purchase! Long story short, after I bothered everyone, the mistake was on my end, but I've been helped by the nicest team on Newbury Street! Noticed my favorite word I can't pronounce (fyell-RA-ven, I think) on a paper sign and decided to swing in - wow! Sure enough, there's now an entire Fjällräven store in the Boston area, and it's just in time for winter. For those unfamiliar with the umlauted brand, they're a swedish company that makes very good outdoors-centric clothing. Think parkas, wool caps, flannel shirts etc. Waterproof, warm, and handsome - the perfect combo to survive Boston's unrelenting winter. The new store is a nice space on the lower level, friendly staff and wide floorspace to admire all their jackets, rucksacks and parkas in all the different colors. read more

i love this brand and own some of their products. I was introducing it to my husband took him to the newbury street store yesterday. We were shopping and he was trying on rainjackets for a solid 15 min in the store and we got zero assistance. the staff did not even acknowledge us and we were the only ones in the store for the majority of the time. another customer came in and seemed to get help immediately. i felt stupid trying to explain to him the merits of wax and we left. my husband bought his rainjacket from northface but the experience left me with a bad taste. i LOVE the ethical nature of their products however and i love the winter coat i have which i bought from their other location where i got great service months ago. read more

I have to say that this store is one of my favorites on Newbury St. I have been shopping here for almost a year and I love the staff and the experience is always inviting and friendly. I have a parka and a fleece sweater from here that I absolutely love, that I wear all the time during the winter months here in Boston and Montreal. I would highly recommend this store to anyone. Absolutely thrilled to see the newly opened Fjallraven on Newbury Street! I've been to Scandinavia several times and this is a pricy and prominent brand. I've always been tempted to purchase but just couldn't do it as the dollar is pretty weak versus the kroner. So, imagine my happy surprise to see the logo on a sign as I was aimlessly wandering down Newbury Street the other day! Woohoo! I had to go in, and they were having an awesome sale to boot. The woman helping me was so nice. She definitely knows and cares about the brand and even knew some of the other Nordic brands that I mentioned. She was very patient as I looked around and she showed me some great items. I ended up purchasing a medium sized backpack at 40% off and much lower than I would have ever gotten it for overseas. I also picked up a nice t-shirt. I hope they succeed because I look forward to going back and getting more great, quality items! read more
