This is such a cool place with loads of awesome things to look through. I recently went in for the first time and found some really cool finds, and things didn't seem terribly priced. This building, on its own, could be a museum. This is a rather large antique store. Actually that could be an understatement, this place is massive. You think that you are done looking but it just keeps going. Take it from me, start on the top floor and make your way down to the basement. On a hot day, you will thank me for this. Sweat your ass off at the start of it and then end your visit in the basement where you will definitely cool down. I took my time in here because it was really a maze of a place. You cannot guess the correct path her because there is no correct path. Like a typical maze, you will find that some turns take you down a dead end. I came here with nothing in mind to purchase. I just browsed. This place had everything from books to vintage clothes. I took an interest in kitchen items and vintage toys. Or what some would consider to be vintage toys now. I saw so many different items in here that took me down memory lane. I was grasping at nostalgic straws here. I honestly wanted to buy so many things here, but really couldn't justify it. I like this type of treasure hunt. Because it's me finding items that were lost to time in my life. I can purchase some of them, or I can just look at it to unlock that memory in my mind. read more

This is a huge building with 3 floors full of antiques. The building itself is an antique! As you walk through the different levels you can see the different styles this property has been through. There are many booths with different types of items, from truly antique toys, tins and clothing, to more modern thrifted items. This is a wonderful option for an antique store in the area!! So much selection in such a large area!! It is very crowded with some real great finds but not so overcrowded that you can't walk around comfortably. Overall, I will be back here to check out some of the cast irons I can find! read more

I would say it's more of a museum slash antique store. They have a wide collection of memorabilia for the diehard collectors. Granted, most seem junk, but the avid aficionados could probably find hidden treasures here. One really good thing is their vinyl collection. Music lovers and vinyl collectors could discover some hard-to-find records here. This is really a huge trove of things old. Someone told me five levels but I only saw four levels, unless I missed one level. This is really a collection of different antique vendors so they have several booths you can check out. If you have time in Old Town Ellicott City, stop into Antique Depot. This three-story building houses antiques and collectibles from so many eras. If it was in your grandmother's 50's/60's/70's house, you'll probably find a duplicate here! From kitchen items, toys, housewares, decor, art, albums, cameras, clothing, accessories, knick-knacks, sports, and more, there really is something for everyone here. Be advised this is a large place. It takes time to browse all the booths. And if you are shopping with friends or family members, know that you all don't shop at the same pace. So they may take a lot longer to shop than you might. There is no seating inside or outside to wait for those who are browsing every nook and cranny. Though there is a cafe across the street! I've only ever shopped here during the weekdays, and the store isn't crowded at all. It's definitely worth the visit if you have the time to browse! read more

The lady was very rude who answered the phone I called to see if they still had the item THEY posted on Craigslist. She said "we have a lot of dealers I can't keep track of them all" and I said "okay, no problem". In my mind I was like I'll just make a visit to the store and see if they had the item. As she was hanging up she says to someone in the background " Well what does she want me to do". I have no idea why she said that remark I was not rude or mean I just said "okay thank you for your help". Glad she said it because you will not get my money, EVER. read more

LET THE BUYER BEWARE! On Jan 3, 2024, I bought a Lionel Train Clock (dealer KJR). The person at the desk lent me 1 AA battery to test it. The clock itself worked. However, there is a train which runs around the clock on the hour. It required 3 C batteries to test, which they did not have. There was no indication on the box that the train did not work. I bought it (even though there was a sign which stated that all sales were final). I brought it home, tested it with the C batteries, and train did not work. Next day, I took it back. They said that the dealer (KJR) had already been paid and they could not take it back. I left my name and number to pass on to the dealer so that he/she could contact me. Never heard back. In hindsight, I should have taken my own batteries there to test prior to buying. But I believe that the box should have stated that the train does not work. I do like the shop and will continue to shop there, but was very disappointed on this visit. read more

The Antique Depot is one of the many boutique shops located on historic Main Street in Ellicott City. Located down towards the bottom of the street, it does seem that it was spared the devastation of the recent flooding. This place is crammed full of lots of different stuff. I'm sure there are some honest to goodness antiques mixed in, but mostly it seems like a garage sale hosted by an entire neighborhood. There are several floors and rooms to get lost in that are chock full of glassware, tableware, furniture, books, games, toys, comic books, keepsakes, knickknacks, paddywhacks, give a dog a bone, and more. There is no real organization to anything, so if you don't see what you're looking for in one section you might find it in another. My wife and I need to return for a particular piece we're looking for. We know it's in there somewhere. read more

I've been to the Antique Depot quite a few times and although I like going, it is really bad for my bank account!! My review is simply on the vinyl records they carry, although I definitely roamed each floor looking at just about everything. The PRO's -records at just about every corner -2-3 record booth corners worth digging through -picked up lots of gems here -most of the records are in nice condition and look well cared for -some of the prices are reasonable -lots of 45's to dig through -accepts credit cards -can usually find parking out front The CON's -the stickers some of the sellers use on the record sleeves is horrible! -no restroom that I am aware of for customers to use -meters out front are only good for 2hrs..when digging for vinyl sometimes you need more time without being interrupted to put more money in -some of the records are priced way too high Overall... for not being a "Record Shop", this antique shop does deliver on carrying some nice records! Certainly worth checking out on a nice Saturday afternoon! read more

This place is fantastic. I spent about 2 hours on all three floors going through everything. Prices are vendor dependent, but overall better than what you'll find closer to the beltway. Be sure to check out the basement--slightly creepy--but that's where I found a few gems that went home with me. Great collections of glassware & collectibles. A decent amount of Midcentury modern. This very, very large building accommodates a little bit of everything, which guarantees that there *is* something here for everyone:-) Antique jewelry, tools, home decor, clothing, electronics, books, and curiosities surround you as you explore its three (four?) floors, each stocked to the brim! The owner, his family and everyone I've met that are on the other side of the counter are always kind & fun. If you visit on certain given days, you may be lucky enough to be serenaded by Al, who is an Antique Depot staple (to me, at least!), as he fills the aisles with some pretty impressive vocals, respectively. I decorated my entire first apartment with the mid-century furniture found while perusing "The Depot". I highly recommend stopping by. It's very much worth the trip:-) read more

Nicest people. That's the first thing. Whether or not you find what you want, the staff is so nice and knows their stuff. Always very talkative and sweet to everyone, regulars and newcomers. I've been coming here for years and years and they have a massive selection of old toys, comic books, clothing, casettes, etc! There's so much to look at in this place. With Taylor's Antique Mall now closed Antique Depot is the go to antique/vintage finds destination in Old EC. Located just off of Main Street, across from the B&O Railroad Museum, I just discovered it late last year and wish I had known about it earlier! It's huge. Three levels and lots of vendors with a variety of goods, there is surely something for everyone. A handful of record vendors keep the spouse happy and midcentury, girly vintage wares give me lots to scour over. You can definitely find some good deals here. I picked up a set of 4 Federal Glass atomic style custard cups for $6. Can't beat that, and they are totally hip. read more

Don't do much antiquing, but when I do look I always find something interesting. Went in with my friend Nick to look at what we thought was a guitar but turned out to a banjo. After we continued to look around , him looking for Xmas gifts and me wandering. I found a awesome Hawaii carved goblet for $10 dollars in the basement and took a leap on it. Looks so rad. My buddy Nick found a Map of Baltimore in there and bartered with them and got it for about 50 or twenty bucks off. Great place never went in before but always passed it. Love love love the Antique Depot. I might not always find what I want here but I always find myself wandering the store for over an hour. So we drove 1 1/2 hours today based on the reviews and being a rainy day. Very disappointed. Unless you are into comics, LP records or lego toys, most of the inventory is not antiques but more like flea market (AKA vintage) items. Did not see hardly anything that would truly classify as an antique. Basement had that classic musty smell and, the most annoying thing was the older gentleman that was working there that sung very loudly to the 50's music playing on the loud speakers. read more
