As the visits continued he minimized her thumb sucking, basically telling us that "most kids need braces" (using examples of his own children) and did not give information about what the possible outcomes of her not breaking this habit could be. We saw Dr. Tara for one visit due to availability issues, and she addressed the issue explaining that my daughter's jaw could be affected long term and there were other issues that might arise from continuing this habit, and also gave us information about options for helping her stop. Dr. Tara was informative, answered all of our questions, and was very direct about her concerns, which is what we were looking for. With Dr. Tara's guidance we were able to help her stop thumb sucking completely and her jaw structure was able to realign itself. Once Dr. Tara left the practice we stopped going there. My overall impression is that the office staff is very helpful, and accommodating. I would not recommend Dr. Gruber due to him not being up front about the risks we were facing and making light of something that was more in our control than he would have us believe.

We waited with Kim for about 2 minutes until the dentist came in. I can not say enough nice things about Dr. Tran and Kim the dental assistant. They were both so attentative and made my son feel very relaxed. They answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns with kindsness and understanding. So I called Dr Shannon's office (still have no insurance) he took me into the office immediately (an hour after I called) and welcomed me back and took care of my toothache. He worked with me on payments and took care of me. My wife is also going back. He is an excellent dentist who will always give you the absolute best care. Definitely goes above and beyond for his patients. I highly recommend him and his team. My teeth are so white again! Hands down best around.

Their new doctor was nice but I will never again deal with such a rude and unprofessional group of miserable people. FACT: Horizon Orthodontics are legally obligated to take the braces that they installed off of your child. When they try to persuade you otherwise and you still want them off, they will still schedule you for an appointment (after having to go there in person from blowing off my phone messages and when you show up in person, they will ask why you didn't leave a message. Ha!). Then, when you show up for your 10:30 appointment (which I wrote in my book...10:30), they will say your appointment was at 10. After they battle with you in front of your child, you show them your book that says 10:30 but then they say "you wrote it down wrong". Also, is it ethical that Horizon Orthodontics just bill YOU after they confirm that your insurance was accepted? Suggestion, give your staff some of that N2O (laughing gas) on a Friday before you fire them.
