Only 2 machines worked. only one dryer worked well. Pretty sure one washer almost stained my husband's shirt. Thankfully I had Dawn. The women's bath house smelled so badly that I felt unclean in there. My only refuge (the bathhouse) was very unpleasant. I did not take a shower in there and it was like using a port-o-potty from the smell. The room needs ventilation! The pool is a blow up kiddie pool The veranda is a broken deck with chairs sitting on it The "dog parks" are ridiculous. Not dog parks. 2 out of 3 toilets work in the men's room The vending machines are so old, they are $.75 and unplugged The pool table room is NOTHING like the pictures- it is sad and forgotten Customer service was great pull-through RV slots are sandwiched between an interesting (yet very friendly) neighborhood

I've had my 5th wheel here for the past five years although I only spend about half the year here…read more(winter months). I never have to be concerned that it is not okay when I'm not here. It's a friendly place with all the utilities including WiFi. The manager is always available for anything needed & the park is beautifully maintained. There are walking trails that go down to picnic tables overlooking the lake & the Katy Bridge that goes across the lake with gorgeous sunsets. It's very quiet & peaceful. Come join us. Luckily for us we did have kids who were complaining of being tired by the midway point of it, so it is perfect for families. But if you are an avid hiker who hikes for miles and miles, this is not the spot. We did go to the beach to look around, but didn't get in as it is winter right now and was at 30-50 degree weather. It is a beautiful place, very clean and well kept. If you are coming in with family, this is perfect, but if you want to hike, this is not your spot.

As soon as I drove into the front entrance, I stopped in the office in order to print the day pass I purchased online yesterday. All three ladies were extremely friendly and helpful. They showed me the key highlights of the park on the map. Then I shopped their merchandise in the park store. The trails were very well maintained and laid out. Each path was clearly visible so as not to get lost or off the marked walkway. I even spent some time in one of the day use areas to read this month's issue of Texas Parks & Wildlife magazine. What a way to finish enjoying such a wonderful park. Please check out!
