Pricing was displayed and accurate, there were ample shopping carts, security was helpful in providing directions around the store, there were ample employees assisting guests in the deli and hot foods sections. there were multiple checkout lines open and the cashier was friendly. The bathroom upon walking in was clean and the only reason the review isn't 5 stars is because the stalls weren't clean, but hey, I guess you can't be perfect. Overall honestly the best Walmart experience I've ever had.

We bought some clams, snails, octopus, salmon to make a hot pot, and when we wanted to have a few more snails, they opened the bag and put some more in without weighing it again. The staff was so friendly and nice. They helped me find everything I was looking for. The watercress and vegetables were fresh. I bought some sweet potatoes and casavas which were both so delicious when I steamed them. They displayed everything so neatly here. The only suggestion I have is to please raise the temperature in the supermarket a few degrees. It was freezing cold. Other than that, all good. What I don't recommend is that you ignore this advice and allow your security to be dressed in shades, black skinny jeans, a black hoody, and a black medical mask while they stalk your customers. I couldn't tell if this was some guy trying to take my phone and run for it, or if he was trying to hack into my shopping cards with an RFID reader (yes, thieves do that), or if he was an ICE officer trying to profile me while being undercover or what. It was so obvious. He passed me like around a dozen times while I'm trying to figure out what to get, mind my business and shop around. After confronting him directly to try and see why he was following me, he decided to get snarky. Couldn't even answer me when I asked him if he was a security officer or what. Had it been someone with less patience, he probably would have gotten punched in the teeth (seriously, some people are crazy like that). They also lack variety of options that other stores sell (being that Ironbound is mostly Portuguese and Brazilian population), a little more variety could do no harm. The shelved bakery items (outside of the bakery counter in the back) happen to taste old or like fridge. I'll give them credit for the butcher and the seafood market though. Overall, greed is what's happened to this place.
