Sonya, her receptionist and medical assistant, has been employed there for many years. She has been so helpful when it comes to mapping appointments and getting referrals. It is a small office and practically a 2 woman show. If Sonya is unable to answer the phone, Dr. Sun answers the phone. Both are very helpful. Dr. Sun as a family practice doctor is very thorough. She takes her time. She is very soft-spoken, so for those with hearing problems, it is very difficult to understand her. I go to the appointments with my mom. I'm in the medical field. I understand her just fine. She is very polite and patient. She has referred my mom to wonderful specialists. She has taken care of my mom's health for many years and has done a fantastic job! I highly recommend her.

I told her I would need to know what is available. "Would you like me to look at their schedules and see what the doctors have available?" Uh, YES. That is why I called. I don't know the doctors' schedules so I need to know what is available. This shouldn't be difficult. I'm no mind reader and don't know intuitively what time slots the docs are available for a physical. I ended up telling the girl I was going to just call somewhere else and hung up.

He truly has that "old school" approach and amazing bedside manner while still really knowing his stuff. He has been an advocate for me thru two cancer diagnoses and a few skin cancers as well as prosthetic authorizations and also taking care of my daughter when I transferred her care to his office a good 8 years ago. I've been so happy as a patient here and being a nurse myself that says a lot. Thank you to the whole Claremont Medical staff. I'll truly miss being seen as a patient here'. Dr. Ardeshana has made my transition from the Kaiser medical system complete, and with great relief. (I liked my primary doctor at Kaiser, but became frustrated with the organization's bureaucracy at getting referrals to specialists and with their customer service.) The doctor was very respectful and attentive to my needs, she was very personal it didn't seem like I was just another patient being seen. It's always important for me to find a doctor's office that is very accommodating to my schedule and the doctor is very attentive and respectful to your concerns. A lot of the time, physicians listen to half your sentence and already diagnose the issue. But Dr Kasem hears your concerns and gives you her feedback and explains it thoroughly. And last but not least Joanne and Monica were very friendly and staff in the front was very respectful and everything is very clean throughout the facility. During the ongoing pandemic, it's important to keep all areas clean as possible and they also socially distance in the waiting room. On January 24, 2022 I went for my usual annual visit, it was the same as any other year prior and we had a good time talking. She checked my weight and heart pressure to make sure it didn't increase from previous years. I've even talked to a young Taiwanese American Dr that day and we had a great chat as well. In a month a bill came from Chaparral Med Group and informed that on top of what my insurance (Anthem Bluecross) paid, I had to pay an extra $106 because "it is my first visit" to Mary. I thought this was going to be an easy fix because after all, all the receptionist had to do was to check my file at the office (Mary knew my weight didn't increase from the last visit, so that's hard evidence that she had my previous visitation on file) and we can waive this code. Nope. I called Mary's office number first, the receptionist said it's now at billing and THERE'S NOTHING SHE CAN DO FOR ME. CALL BILLING. When I called billing, that's when the nightmare began. I'd call for days and it'd goto voice mail. Non were returned. When I finally reached someone, they REFUSED TO LISTEN, AND REFUSED TO TALK FURTHER TO ME DIRECTLY. I needed to call Anthem and ask them to call Mary's billing. So for the past 2 months, 4 different Anthem reps have been calling for me. When the 1st rep finally got a live person on the phone, they agreed to change the code and change the fee. 2 weeks later I got another bill for the same $106! I had to do the same thing over again, explain my situation to the reps again and again for the past 2 months, and they said Mary's billing agreed (for the first 3 times they called) to waive the fee. Last week, at the end of March, I got another bill for $106, this time threatening me that that this bill will go to collections if I don't pay up! I called Anthem again, it took us 2 days to reach a live person from Mary's billing number. And this time they said they have never agreed to waive this fee! I've then sent all my visitations from Health Equity's site to the Anthem rep, and we're still here, stuck at this stage. At this point, it is a matter of principle. I will fight this til the end. Mary if you're reading this, you're losing a loyal patient for the past 5 years because of your billing mistake. And you're getting a 1 star from me until you fix it. No one should ever have to go through this EVER!!

First the office staff are very professional and accommodating, next the clinic staff who takes your vitals are professional and ensure they use universal precautions to ensure there are no cross contamination from patient to patient. This is a biggie for me when it comes to doctor offices. Last, Dr. Rishi Majithia. This is my fourth appointment seeing him. I was recommended to him by my daughter in law who is a medical professional. I was initially very skeptical because doctors now days care more about money than the care they provide. Dr. Majithia, my first appointment he listened to my complaints and concerns, gave his feed back, made slight recommendations and genuinely seem as if he cared. By my second appointment he actually was able to repeat some of the concerns from the previous appt and made excellent recommendation. This let me know he actually was listening and taking appropriate notes the first appointment. By my third appointment he addressed all my medical concerns, started me on new meds which we both agreed, made legitimate realistic goals for me to follow and seemed as if he really cared about my well being. Again he was able to recite all my previous complaints from the past appointments. ((He really Listens). Today, I had my fourth appt. I can now say I have found a provider who is knowledgeable, competent, up to date with society and current medical trends. Knowledgeable of Diabetes, and is genuinely concerned about his patients. Seems he has a passion for his profession. When he took his Oath to be a doctor to care for patients he did it because he wanted to see a change in people and he care about people's health. If your looking for a doctor who cares about his patient's, current on medical knowledge, doesn't rush you during appointments, listens, there is no need to go further. Dr. Rishi Majithia is an excellent choice!
