Just stopped for a late lunch,I'd have to say very good, nice patio in the sun across form the lake. I read other reviews it was just fast food, maybe yes but from an burger stand circa 1950 -1970. Hand made patties, perfectly caramelized onions, thick cut smoky bacon and hand cut fries. What's not to like! On top of that 3 local craft beers on tap, happy hour to boot. Very worth the stop.

Burgers have a real "in and out" feel but the buns are good and the patties fresh. The fries seem to have taken a huge tumble though, they now taste like packaged handcut, not fresh handcut if that makes sense. Service has been pleasant each time I've been here, but that's always what you make of it IMO. Great views of the Lake on a sunny day! Pricey for a burger joint but it's a touristy type spot.

This could be my new favorite burger place in the Okanagan! When we first came by I wasn't sure how this would be. Its a pretty casual place right on the Lakeshore strip in Penticton. We walked up and the staff was very friendly. We had a few questions about the burgers and they were patient and helpful. My favorite burger ever is the Double Double from In-N-Out Burger. Living in Canada, I sadly don't get to have it that often. But this burger does a very good job holding off the cravings! It's a close second for sure. If you are a fan of In-N-Out, you'll most likely enjoy this! The fries were really good also. Didn't have a chance to try the ice-cream yet, hopefully next time. The seating is all outdoors. But on a nice day it has a really neat vibe to it. Beautiful setting. The patio is lifted so you can see out on the water really easily. My wife even said to me that it kind of reminded her of Disneyland for some reason (just the feel of the place). Can't say enough good things about this Burger joint. Side note: Your kids will love it there, as it is also a "Pokemon Go Gym".

All delicious and plenty to eat! It took a few minutes for me to be noticed to be escorted to a table. Got up and had to find a menu. When being taken to a table please don't forget to give your guest a menu. Even after the apology and given 2 more menus (one for Brunch and one for drinks), it left a bad taste in my mouth about a first impression of the business. Thankfully, the food was fresh and tasty! This the 4 star rating.

We dropped in around 1:00pm and snagged seats on one of their outdoor picnic tables. Our server was friendly but beware, they don't inform you of the automatic 18% gratuity on the bill. Nothing on any of their menu's state that either. Super unimpressed because we ended up double tipping. Menu consists of appetizers, hot sandwiches + burgers, cold sandwiches and salads. They also have a brunch menu (weekends only from 9:00am to 1:00pm) and drinks. - Rocking horse caesar ($8.25) - O is a picky drinker but he said it wasn't half bad. - 2x Weezy wings ($12.00) - our group shared one order with a dill dip ($1.00 extra). The wings were not good; dry and almost tasteless. The louisian style hot sauce they coated the wings with was bland. - Seattle fries ($6.00) - found these oversalted. - 4x Pastrami ($15.00) - we opted for the kettle chips (made in-house). A touch of a peppery Cajun note. The pastrami had a good sauce and the cheese complimented the meat. The bread was well buttered and had a crunchy bite to it. - Choreazy ($15.00) - we went with the daily soup (chicken and rice) which was delicious. Homey and comforting, something your mom/grandma would feed you. The chorizo was homemade but flavours were a bit mute. An okay sandwich that we didn't particularly love or hate. Food was decent but can't get over the shady practices. 2.5 stars.

The service was great! I ordered a risotto which was good, but not amazing. The asparagus was crunchy and seemed not fully cooked. We sat on the patio but it was loud since it was on a busy street with constant traffic. The outdoor booth was comfortable, although very low down making it hard to reach my food on the table. Overall, this is a great option for a nice meal in Penticton, but could be improved with better seating and higher quality cooking.

We are Americans that live in a somewhat remote area, so we regularly travel to the Penticton area for shopping and amenities that can't be found in our local area. After we completed our errands this afternoon we decided to stop in to The Nest for a round of drinks and appetizers before returning home. We had the pleasure of being served by the owner himself, who is an extremely friendly and polite gentleman. The vibe upon walking in immediately felt casual and welcoming. The owners passion for what he does shines when he speaks about the menu and about the restaurant. He was extremely attentive despite being short staffed this evening, and being it was our first time in he took the time to explain that the restaurant uses only locally sourced ingredients, and makes as much as they can from scratch in house. The drink menu is pretty expansive and is full of many craft cocktails that are not commonly found elsewhere. Being someone who loves a French 75 and a Tom Collins, I was happy to see both. You'll find many specialty flavors of margaritas, gin and tonics, and smoked cocktails all made with locally distilled spirits. Additionally, they have a nice selection of local beer, wine, and cider when available. As far as the food menu, there are few (if any!) other restaurants I can honestly say I would be willing to try every item on the menu, but this is one of them. There is a unique collection of dishes and options for everyone, with entree options varying from red meat, to seafood, to gluten free, to vegetarian. We opted for two of the appetizers, the baked Brie and nuts and the bison carpaccio. Both were exceptional and fresh tasting. The quality of the ingredients used is apparent. This place will have to be one of our go-to spots from now on. The service is enough to keep you coming back, but we are so looking forward to trying everything else the menu has to offer. Highly recommend giving this place a chance if you haven't already!

The crinkle fries have changed to thin ones instead of the fat cut crinkle fries. I'm a tots person, but sadly couldn't get tots because they were out. Possibly this will only be a place we go to when it's milkshake season again. We felt bad for our waitress, as she was the only one managing tables, register, phone, bar, everything. The more people in the restaurant the louder it gets. We try to sit in an area away from others to help reduce the noise. We'll still go, but seasonally.

My husband had the BLT. Said it tasted homemade which is a compliment! Wait staff was good. Service prompt and friendly. We kept going back and forth to find the place because we were looking for a big sign in the building. Later we saw the signs along the road. If the fries were as good as the burger and BLT, this would have been a 5 star review. I should have tried the jojos instead. My husband had the poppers. Yummy. Formulate your own opinion and try this place. We were passing through on a roadtrip. If we're back again, you can be sure that I'll order the burger, with jojos. Oh... another thing. I read about the air conditioning being too cold in other reviews. I run hot anyway, so it was perfect for me. My husband wore his jacket, if that tells you anything. I would much rather be at a place where it's too cold, than too hot. It was in the 90's outside, so having a burger and a sandwich was a welcome relief.

I think that's probably true. My kid and I heard that this place has an awesome happy hour deal: purchase a drink from 2-5pm, get a free pound of chicken wings. And the wings look great, with lots of choices of sauces! We had hoped to come here for this HH deal but unfortunately, the time never worked out. So we came here for an early lunch instead one hot day. There were very few diners when we arrived, so we had our pick of tables. We chose to sit at the outdoor patio, as it was a lovely day. Our server was super nice. My kid ordered a Wagyu burger with fries and a flight of beers. (One this day of the week, any Wagyu item was $2 off. They have certain specials every day of the week). I usually have a salad for lunch, so I ordered the vegetable salad with beets and goat cheese with its honey Dijon poppyseed vinaigrette. The flight of beers was quite good (according to my kid, who enjoyed them). Her burger and fries were also quite good. (I had a bite and it was tasty). 4/5 stars for her meal. My salad, however, was beyond sad. It was 95% lettuce, a thimble-full of goat cheese crumbles, zero beets, a few wilted cucumber spears, and, again, 95% lettuce. (At least the lettuce was fresh and clean, I'll give it that! But for $17, it was 95% lettuce! I am not exaggerating. And the vinaigrette looked and tasted exactly like a bottled Kraft dressing I've recently had. It did not taste like honey or Dijon at ALL). I'd give my salad 1/5 stars. And that's being kind. (I returned 75% of it uneaten. Even my kid wasn't up for it - and she usually finishes ALL my meals). One item on the menu sounded too good to pass up: their "peaches in a blanket" dessert. It takes 20 minutes to make. We ordered it - and it was the highlight of the whole meal. (Sorry I did not get a photo. We ate it immediately lol!). It was truly delicious, and not obscenely large in size (I find it a turn-off when portions are too huge. This was sized just right). Truly delicious. 5/5. Side note: the bathrooms here, in the back of the restaurant, are quite nice. There are three of them, each nicely decorated, and roomy, one with a large baby table. All super clean. I was impressed by the washrooms! Back to the food... regarding our meals, our dishes were very inconsistent. I'm giving this place a 3/5 stars, totally middle of the road, just because I think your experience will depend on what you order and what day you order it.
