My daughter and son-in-law had their patio cover installed by Patio Guy, and we were amazed at the style, quality, and value of the job. When I thought of "alumawood," I thought of mobile home siding. How wrong I was! After seeing their completed patio, we decided to add the same type of cover to our back patio. Our only problem was that we live about an hour from Adam's shop, so it wasn't convenient for him and his crew to do the job. However, he agreed to do it anyway. He offered a fair price but warned us that there would be a couple month's wait for materials. Even though there was a delay that was beyond the Patio Guy's control, they completed the job a few days in advance of the deadline. Adam sent Cory and Brent to do the work, and they were fantastic. They were skillful, polite, and kept the jobsite as clean as possible. Even though it was a two-day job, they worked late to make sure that our patio was ready for our son's birthday party the following day. Their customer service went above and beyond what was expected. I wish all of the contractors I've worked with were a profession as Adam's team. Now that we've enjoyed our back patio for awhile, I can honestly say that our only regret is that we didn't have this done sooner. 8/5/19 was our installation date here in Oceanside. Adam came out like a little over a week ago to give us a quote. We had had 2 other quotes from local companies but were definitely overpriced by 1-2 thousand and were 2-4 weeks out. Gotta give Patio Guy credit for doing business outside Riverside. Most companies want easy, quick money, and will not travel outside their comfort zone. Cory and Brent were the team that came out. They gave me a courtesy call, they were here on time, and got the job done in less than a day for a cover roughly 15X26. They also installed a fan and did the electrical work. I got a rundown of how the patio cover works, maintenance, and we checked function of the fan. They cleaned up and went on their way. The work was clean, great looking, and they did not cut any corners. We always get at least 2 or 3 estimates. Go ahead and do multiple estimates but give these guys a call too. Their pricing is good they are not pushy like other companies. We did not get a discount for this review nor was it part of the negotiations. I recently contacted Patio Guy for a non insulated patio cover. The process I went through to get a quote could be a little difficult for a non technical person, because you need to do some measurements and enter them on a webpage. You also need to upload a picture of your patio with the dimensions. Once, I provided the necessary info, Patio Guy was quick to contact me and started the process of going out to do the actual measurements, getting the permit, sending people over to install, etc.. Overall, their process needs to be improved, but I would say these guys are professionals and know their craft well. The installers were pleasant and quick. They did the job correctly on the first try. Would highly recommend. I would give a 4.5, but since Yelp doesn't support that rating, I am rounding up to a five stars. read more

I started with a website quick quote, which I though was quite reasonable considering the money friends said I would be spending on an Alumawood Patio. Adam came out several days later for a meeting and measure and his quote stayed firm. But, in the midst of gathering other estimates, the COVID pandemic came along. Once we were able to get other bids, Adam still beat out the competition.
