I tried holding off on posting hoping they'd have upstanding business practices but I see that's not what this company is about. They installed a beautiful patio cover, but have left the fans and lights' wiring exposed and REFUSE to come finish the work. Multiple calls and texts and no follow-up whatsoever, other than Dean saying he reached out to the owners. Do NOT pay them anything until everything is in place. They'll come by to pick up the payment but won't answer you to finish the work they were paid for. Absolutely disappointed with the pending end of this project. If I could leave no stars I would. We paid for drawings and a permit from the city. Was told install would be within the month. Weeks go by and haven't heard anything, so I start calling every number I can find since our sales rep, Kel is not responding. Finally hear it will be next Monday- no drawings and no permit filed. So I'm out $1000. Install day comes and it's fine except the fans they installed aren't working and they try to leave before fixing it. Husband made them fix it but now everytime it rains and we try to turn the patio light on we pop a breaker. Contacted kel after the first time and was told "someone would be by Monday to fix" Monday comes and go and no one shows and Kel once again won't respond to any texts or phone calls. The customer service from this company is non existent and now I paid for permits which was never filed, drawings I never received and patio lights I can never use without popping the breaker. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS Paid over 20k for an awning and patio at our brand new home and it took six months to get them to come and fix a light. After the light was replaced the breaker tripped immediately and the new breaker does the same thing. Despite trying for months to have Alberto Ceballos make the necessary corrections the city needs for approval of my daughter's overhang he consistently avoids addressing the situation. The first inspector came out and failed it saying it did not match the spects that were submitted and Alberto needed to change them. Alberto changed them and a different inspector came out and failed it again. The inspector then said that he wanted to come out to my daughter's house at the same time as Alberto. My daughter confirmed with both Alberto and the inspector to come out. The inspector showed up but Alberto didn't. My daughter then called him, there was no answer, then she texted him 8:35am and he responded 9:27 that he was out of town and Emmanuel was supposed to show up. The inspection was between 8am and 9am November 26th. Since that time she hasn't heard from him. The inspector wants to talk to him specifically to get this situation rectified. In the meantime my daughter is paying for an overhang that hasn't been approved and she is hoping this can be handled this month. The overhang has been up since November of 2023 and she is still battling with Ceballos Awnings. If anyone knows how to help with this situation please let me know. read more

Would't recommend them in a million years. Had to wait months for our product to be installed after they took our initial deposit, then they were absolutely impossible to reach. The first 2 times they said they would be there they no showed (after making arrangements to be home for them). They didn't install it correctly so had to come back out which took another 2 months. Sadly the material is great and the installers (separate group) aren't to blame, it's Albert and Keld that are terrible. Hi Yelpers, My partner and I did a big landscaping remodel in Laguna Niguel. We didn't want to go cheap and we wanted it done well. We talked to several companies that install wood and aluminum. In the end, we wanted low maintenance but something that looked elegant. Miguel and team were very responsive and provided some guidance in choosing the right structure. We did it right, pulled permits and installed a solid cover on one side and a shorter lattice on the other. Miguel handled all the permitting. They quoted a price I went for it, Paid deposit. 6 months later down the line it took numerous calls to the company and the manufacture only to find out the Price now doubled. They do not honor their contracts. It is a shame as well because they had already done one for me that came out great. I can't believe what I'm seeing on the other reviews on this page it just can't be the same company. The company I dealt with that was very responsive. The communication was awesome. They gave me the 30 to 40% off right off the bat. They came out and did everything that they said they were going to do and more. it started with the canvasser that came out to my door. He was very friendly and polite. Bruce gave us a call a day before to confirm the appointment Dean came out and was very professional and gave us the best price. We signed the contract said that the patio cover materials could take up to 4 to 5 weeks so at about the fourth week we got a phone call that our patio cover was ready and we said an install date the installers came out install the patio cover and did an amazing job. I couldn't be more happy, then about a couple days later they came out and did the before and after pictures for the 30 to 40% off so everything that this company said that they were going to do they did that and more. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!! I was working with their sales rep "Keld Jenson." He came over to my residence on 06/10/23, worked out a deal and gave a $600 deposit. At the time of this post I have not yet heard back from the company or Keld. I have tried contacting Keld multiple times, left text messages/voicemails and still nothing. In July 2021 I gave a down payment of $14,100 to Gallagher Goodland from Good Work Company that is using Caballo's Awnings contractors license. Isaac Ley came out to remeasure a year later saying that they were having trouble getting materials due to covid. At that time he said that it had to go through the engineering department at the manufacture. months later after I contacted the manufacturer he told me that they couldn't do it the size I wante. Isaac came back out to redesign and said it would be a couple week. That was August 2022 and now he is not returning my calls Or emails! I just want a refund at this point. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I was provided a phone number by a friend and dealt with Steve Fenner who claimed to be a partner with Albert under the business name of American Wholesale Patio and Room. In my contact with Steve, I explained to him we already had a patio at the time, but we were installing a pool, so it needed to be taking down. Steve told me it is not a problem, and they would be able to put it back up with a warranty after the pool was completed. Steve had his people came take the patio down and after having the pool installed, I called Steve several times with no response. I final was able to get in touch with him and he set a date to come back out to finish the project but did not show. I spoke to a friend who gave me the companies information and provided me a number to another employee by the name of Miguel. I contacted Miguel and was happy with the response at the time. Miguel came to my house and explained to me that I was given bad information. Miguel said they would not be able to put up the old patio and that I had basically paid the company for something I could have done knowing it would be no good after taken down. Miguel tried to give me the best deal he could and even though I was not happy with it I agreed. In dealing with Miguel, he agreed to fix some items on my existing patio such as minor leaks. As of the first major rain we received in October of 2021, the patio cover leaks and has leaked since day one of rain. I called Miguel to have them come fix the leaks in the old and new patio and he told me he no longer worked for the company. Miguel gave me Albert's number in which I called and texted him in October and in November. After a couple of texts messages in November he finally responded. Albert stated he would have the installer reach out to me. Here we are in February now and after several calls and text messages, I still have not heard back from him. I have noticed and read about similar issues that have occurred with other customers. I began to investigate the company and found that there are two different companies attached to each other Steve who runs American Wholesale Patio and Room and Albert who runs Ceballos Awnings not sure how that works but I have had nothing but problems with both. I have had a terrible experience with both American Wholesale Patio and Steve Fenner and Albert who runs Ceballos Awnings. DONT DO IT! I can't express my frustration enough with this so called business. They installed pavers that have caved in or is completely uneven. Pavers placed around drain are cut jagged which could lead to someone getting cut. The patio still isn't up because they wanted to do it without permitting, which is law, so we have been going back and forth the Albert who doesn't seem to care about getting the job done or getting paid. Dean just says what he thinks you want to hear so it makes matters worse. We initially signed a contract in November of 2022 and here we are in November of 2023. And we are damn near starting from scratch needing to find a new contractor. I beg you to think twice about using this company. He was good at listening to my requests and helping me fine tune the details to make it happen within my budget without losing quality or style.
