Food was OK but service needs some help. They are set up for you to place your order at the counter, pay, and take a number sign to your table were the food will be brought to you. OK system but at least one of the staff was noticed walking food all over the place and didn't seem to understand the concept. I noticed this because this place is also very much like Paris - slow - it took over half an hour to get our food after we ordered it! Way too long. Thankfully this divine little bakery/restaurant is as far from my home as it is. Delicious and authentic. Pastry and sandwiches were equally scrumptious. We had a long weekend in the area with so many food options and we went here twice. We had a delicious and slightly messy apple, brie and smoked shoulder sandwich with amazing cold brew and iced cappuccino for our first visit. We took macaroons to go. They didn't make it back to the air B&B..... so delightful! We came back for breakfast and shared egg breakfast and brioche french toast.... Again just delicious and well prepared. Picked up a refreshing iced tea and several delicious blueberry & cream cheese croissants today from Pattiserie Lenox. I must admit, I've never had a croissant quite like it nor have I ever devoured one quite as fast. It paired so incredibly well with the ice tea. It wasn't for a promise to get some for my family, I would have eated at least half! I loved how dog friendly they were while having plenty of casual outdoor seating as well. Delicious bakery - I agree with previous reviews on their amazing blueberry cheese croissant, and their almond croissant. My children liked their chocolate pancakes too. Came here a few times during a course of a short stay in the area. Poor attitude. We stopped in Lennox location to enquirer about a birthday cake for my wife. Rudeness and lack of patience. The older woman referred us to Great Barrington location where all cakes are made unlike Lennox. We waited for 10 minutes once we entered the bakery, 2 counter workers were helping 2 customers with pastries and coffee beverages, we were never greeted, no eye contact made, very disrespectful. We left and drove down the street to @Guido's Market and picked up a nice Chocolate Truffle cake there. Just a little advice to the French Pastry Shop, remember that you're only as good as your last performance. Stopped by Patisserie Lenox while visiting Great Barrington and was pleased to find a very quaint cute cafe. This patisserie serves up many many sweet treats, breads, cakes, tarts, etc. I ordered the chocolate almond croissant and was slightly disappointed with it. Their croissants are not flaky or crispy at all, the layers are very doughy and chewy (uncharacteristic of a typical croissant). I also found the pastry to be very greasy and oily. You can tell that the pastry is very flat. I did enjoy the taste because it is a yummy sweet treat but wouldn't go out of my way to come back. A small gem in Lenox. We've been here before and have never been disappointed. You order, sit down and they bring you the food, you bus your own table. The seating area has a homey feel. My wife and I each had a healthy bowl of pea soup, delicious with diced potatoes included. Perfect for the autumn day. My wife also had the ham and Swiss on baguette. She asked for it to be warmed and they accommodated. I had the ham and Swiss croissant with Bechamel sauce. This was a winner, the croissant was perfect. Went to the store in downtown Lenox- And ordered a few pastries to take hime. Randomly picked these two buns that looked like cinnamon buns without the frosting but they were Apple crumb like buns. So good! Chocolate almost croissant and almond croissants were so yummy- lamination in the pastry and just the right amount of filling. Wonderful and warm people working there too. My wife and I are both in our early seventies and love to joke about how no one can see us because we're so old that we hold no interest for them, as obsolete humans. But today I proved it! I went to this place to get a croissant. There was one guy making espresso drinks, with his back to me. It was literally three minutes later when he turned around. I hadn't said anything because I hate people who give shit to servers of any kind. Anyway, I swear he saw me, or at least he seemed to see me before turning to his drinks, but I guess I was invisible. He went back to pulling more espresso shots. No, "I'll be right with ya," or anything. On top of which a frowning young woman came out of the kitchen twice to apparently check on something that was dissatisfying her. Didn't seem to see me. Either time. I mean, not even a sideways glance. I mean, yes, I have gray hair. Wait. Maybe it was that my vest was from the Marshall's value rack. Anyway, then, finally, the guy finished making his drinks, and walked over to hand them to people....two feet away from me. Then...literally without seeing me, he went back to his espresso machine. I was tempted to reach around their and grab a croissant, but their croissants are dry. (I was only their because Best Damn Espresso and Pixie Boulangerie were closed._ The place lies within a MA "Cultural District," so I guess they've been cultured to serve young attractive people who dress wealthily, and literally not be able to see old people. We went here while we had to kill some time before going to a concert at Tanglewood. We asked the local police woman where we should go to get a snack- she recommended here. I was with two friends- I got an iced cold brew with almond milk and my friends got a pastry. They have all kinds of pastry here- it was almost overwhelming for such a small place! We asked the worker if she could take our picture and she did- and we talked to a gentleman who was sitting nearby. Everyone was friendly. When we left and went to Tanglewood one friend realized she left her cross body bag at the cafe. Of course, we had no cell service- so we started driving back there and called. They said they did not have it but we went back anyway -- and there it was still hung on the chair. We were all so happy. It is a very cute place in the middle of Lenox! super cute patisserie in downtown lenox. we went on a monday holiday morning, and the place was hopping! packed and everyone looked happy enjoying their food and drink away from the cold of a berkshires winter. the line moved quickly and we selected a dozen beautiful pastries from the counter--each was delicious and a big hit with the people we shared them with. the fruit tarts in particular were really well-done... this is probably my favorite patisserie purchase, and sometimes it's hit or miss, but the crust, filling, and fruit topping were all on point. on the way out, we saw a sign advertising a sandwich special, and it sounded so good that we came back before heading out of town to pick some up to go! they were apple, bacon, and brie toasted sandwiches--absolutely delicious light sandwiches that came with a simple side salad of greens with what tasted like a cider vinaigrette. this spot is a bit pricey--the pastries were about $60 and three sandwiches were about $50, but they were so good that it left us feeling like it was a worthy splurge. i probably won't be back anytime soon since i live in washington, but if i ever get back to lenox, i will definitely be popping in for a pastry or two! read more

This is a bust. The staff is unfriendly and down right rude. The shop itself is run down dirty and in a state of disarray. The airconditioner was off and it was uncomfortable. There are broken dishes ,dirty windowsills,flaking paint and chairs just randomly placed. We had coffees and pastry. We had to ask for plates and forks to eat the pastry off of. I had a fruit tart ,it was old not day old very old. The cream was bad and the fruit had a stiff rubbery glaze. The fruit tarts at Market 32 are far superior. I came out to the Massachusetts hinterland for a business meeting and found this spot on the way up to Pittsfield. I came here for lunch before the meeting and came back after the meeting to pick up a few things. So I ordered a French onion soup for lunch. For $8, I guess it's a decent price, especially in comparison to a restaurant that would probably charge $10-12. The soup itself wasn't too salty and it was flavorful. The cheese and bread provided warmth and richness to the soup. I arrived here late afternoon to grab a few baked goods. The plain croissant was average and I can tell it wasn't the freshest. While it might've good some time ago, the croissant was diminished (soft and not flaky on the outside) by the time it was consumed. So was the cherry custard brioche, as it had a dry brioche but a decent filling. The raspberry almond brioche was passable, with a soft and sweet brioche. It tasted a bit like a financier. Overall, it just seemed like the baked goods weren't the freshest and my second visit might've revealed that. Coming in late afternoon, I noticed that there was a LOT of product left for me to choose. Sounds great, right? However, how will all of that get sold before the end of the business day? There were several plain croissants present and also lots of everything still available. Lastly, nearly $12 for three baked goods is a little steep for a location like this. Service wasn't particularly friendly during both visits. Not the best French bakery I've been to and if I have to drive up to Pittsfield again, I'd be hard-pressed to give this another shot. read more
