Stopped at Sarah's for lunch. Our first time. Great little cafe. Ordered a Sarah Delight sandwich. Homemade bread, turkey was sliced just right. Nice mix with bacon, lettuce and tomato. Sandwich was quick to come out, had them heat it. Very yummy. Came with a pickle, which was great. Ordered a side of potato salad, nice flavor and texture. The bakery items looked really good but decided to pass today. Prices very reasonable. The set up was very and efficient. Tables both inside and outside. Staff was friendly. read more

I called in an order at 930 this morning for a sandwich and coffee on my work break i was told 15/20 mins once I got to the restaurant. The lady who had taken my order over the phone had told me they had no call in order ready and told me nobody has called in a order which wasn't true and also ruined my morning break because we have a 20 min break. I can't wait around an extra 20 mins after I already called in my sandwich and coffee and to top it off she made it seem like I was in the wrong when in reality she never started the order. I've been coming to Sarah's for years. I first purchased a champagne cake for a birthday. It was delicious, and I have ended up ordering several birthday cakes over the years. I started making it a regular stop for breakfast, lunch and sweets whenever I'm in Pittsfield and my go-to on days off. I have tried so many things and love everything. They have the best cheesecakes, lemon bars, etc. the Thanksgiving sandwich is my favorite! The service is always quick, even when they're really busy, and the staff are always friendly to me! After a leisurely ride from CT to Pittsfield, MA, we needed a Pit (sfield) stop, including a nice beverage. We were delighted to find Sarah's Cheesecakes & Cafe in the same strip mall as our favorite bakery (Berkshire Mountain Bakery)--which was the main reason for the 3 hour RT. What a delightful serendipity to find this little gem. We did indulge in a generous slice of 3-layer cheesecake--regular, butterscotch and chocolate layers. What's not to love about that!! Katrina was the perfect hostess--really our counter person, but we felt like we were so welcome. Her sunny smile on a gray day was alone something we really appreciated. We won't hesitate to make this a regular stop on our semi-annual jaunts to Pittsfield, where we may have to try Kahlua cheesecake next time. Five stars means they do everything right. read more

Was there for breakfast and ordered an egg sandwich. It was good and the price reasonable (5.00 plus $1 for one extra egg). Also, ordered a coffee. My coffee was about 1/2 full and was cold, so I went up to the counter and added maybe a third of a cup more to warm it up. It was still cold, but I did not say anything about it. Imagine my surprise when a young man came up from behind the counter and started a conversation with me in front of the whole place from his side of the counter. He asked if I went and got myself more coffee and then told me it was 1.50 for a second coffee, which I paid but the encounter left a bad taste in my mouth to be spoken to from across the counter like that. I didn't even get a full second cup of coffee. I don't believe there is a sign stating this. read more

My daughter and I stopped here because a coffee shop down the street closed an hour before their posted closing time. It was a delightful turn of events and they will have more of our business! Very disappointed! I'm a retired legal professional. Owner's daughter was rude in customer service etiquette and was too busy putting me in my place to even help other people; danish purchased were stale! Another person was waiting on me; no one else in the store at that time. The daughter gave me a really dirty look when I asked for a box (instead of a bag) and told the girl helping me she would get it! I kept asking if I did something wrong because the service I was getting was silent and angry looks! In the interim, three other people entered and the owner's daughter was still engaging me with regards to the box issue and not even acknowledging the other people. She then proceeds to explain to me that boxes are more expensive so they put everything in a bag so you have to ask for a box at which time I explained I thought that's what I did, so I didn't understand why there was attitude! Additionally, I had to explain that I assumed I was paying for the box too along with the Danish (with fruit filling on top!) and if I was incorrect, I'd be happy to pay for it! Anyway; long story short not only did I get hostility, but the filling on the top of the danish was congealed and the pastry was stale and crunchy! There is not much diversity in the Pittsfield area and some businesses really show disdain and lack of respect for anyone that doesn't mirror images they're used to seeing in their stores and it shows in their customer service practices! Very unprofessional business owners. They made two of our sandwiches wrong and we called to let them know because we were unable to eat them because of allergies. When we returned to the store we were yelled at, sworn at, and charged at by one of the owners. This is the most unprofessional business etiquette I've ever seen in my life and I hope nobody ever has to experience this. read more

Great place to pop in and grand something on the go for lunch or sit and stay a bit and enjoy your lunch. Sandwiches and paninis are delicious and with good quality meats and cheeses. The drink selection is so so but the piece de resistance are the baked goods!!! They are simply put awesome.... the cheesecakes are decadent and delightful, cookies are sooooo good! The almond cookies were amazing! They went out of their way to brew a fresh pot of decaf for us. Everyone was very friendly (except when they look at you like you're an idiot when you say your coffee isn't what you expected). Just be aware if you like your coffee a certain way to be very specific about how you order as they make things a little different than chain stores... and they won't offer to make it right for you. read more

I waited way to long for my food while the person behind the counter talked to a couple of regulars and burned my sandwich so she had to start over. Sarah's Cheesecake & Cafe offers their regular sandwiches for the reduced price of $5.00 on Fridays! Our favorite is their tasty Thanksgiving Sandwich (we take half home to eat later, as it is too filling to eat at one sitting). It could use a bit more cranberry, which I will tell them next time, but I think the amount depends on who constructs the sandwich. ;-) Sandwiches are served with a pickle and a tiny bag of potato chips. Their coffee is always good: it's self-serve from carafes. It could be a bit hotter, though they will gladly reheat your cup for you. Everything is made fresh. So far I have avoided their desserts, but the cheesecakes look delicious; I'm not sure how much longer my will power will hold. Everyone has been pleasant no matter how crowded it gets. I highly recommend Sarah's for lunch, but if you are in a rush, call ahead for pickup and enjoy your meal at your favorite spot. read more

i ordered a small chef salad which comes with turkey and ham and i asked for them to add chicken, i go and pick my salad up and pay and i grabbed 2 drinks a vitamin water and an honest tea and my total some hoe came out to be 16$ and i leave and go to eat my salad and it doesn't even have the turkey or ham in it just chicken, so i paid 16$ for a chef salad add chicken just to get a salad with chicken and no ham or turkey and 2 drinks!!!!
