Pork sisig was so savory and delicious! The portion size was big enough for me to split with my sister. Adding the lemon juice definitely added another dimension of flavor to an already incredible dish. Food came out in maybe a minute or two, and we were seated instantly at the bar. Service was efficient and good as well! Ambiance was nice and clean!

I had their longganisa with rice and egg, and I was really excited! However, I was really underwhelmed. The longganisa had a good flavor, but the texture was off. The inside was really mushy and I was not able to bite through the sausage casing. Maybe they boiled the sausage and didn't fry it after to get the classic longganisa texture. The rice was also overcooked and a little mushy, and I was expecting to have garlic rice but I just had a few garlic pieces at the bottom. The fried egg also was fully cooked, taking away the experience of poking a runny yolk onto the meat. I also tried the calamansi juice, and it did not taste like calamansi. It was also fizzy, which I didn't expect. The employees and the ambience of this food hall was great, but I wish the food at Patok felt more like home.

Ordered the pork sisig which was flavorful and served over a bed of white rice. A solid food court meal; they have a brick and mortar store north of the bronx as well. I do wish there were more veggies/salad because it helped cut the greasiness of the pork.

Pork Sisig over Rice /w egg, Pork Lumpia (6 Pieces), Pancit Bihon w/ tofu.

It was fluffy, savory, and rich without feeling too heavy. Expect it to be a pancake version of bibingka. I also loved the crab omelet, which was packed with generous pieces of crab and cooked so delicately that it practically melted with each bite. It also came with pandesal, which is how I enjoyed it topped off. The kanto chicken brought serious comfort food energy with crispy skin, juicy meat, and flavors that reminded me of late-night street food. To drink, the ube matcha was well-balanced and the corn coffee was another fun surprise with strong corn to coffee flavors. Service was warm, attentive, and paced perfectly even as the dining room filled up. They do accept walk-ins, but I'd definitely recommend making a reservation since brunch is clearly popular and tables go quickly. Between the creative menu, polished execution, and welcoming atmosphere, Naks is an easy place to recommend for anyone looking to represent and for a memorable brunch in NYC.

I came here for brunch with some friends and they were super strict with their reservation time…read morewhen our entire party arrived early. They are very busy though as I saw people get turned away as walk-ins. Once inside, we were led to a table in the back. The space is chic and contemporary with a modern take on Filipino classics. Our table started off with the Vinegar Fries ($5), which came highly recommended for good reason. These were so delicious with the vinegar powder seasoning that gave it so much zing and flavor. Then we shared the Chicken Adobo Classic Filipino Platter ($27) with Longanisa ($7), Pancit Batil Patong ($28), and Salted Egg Pancake ($19). The platter is a great option for variety, especially being topped with an egg. The longanisa is the best protein option though with its sweet and savory notes. The pancit was great too, but a tad on the salty side so you need some rice to balance that. Finally, I was most intrigued by the salted egg pancake but this one was just ok. The pancakes were solid, which needed the salted egg cream. It's a pretty muted flavor, which I'm not sure I would be able to tell if I didn't know what it was already. Pretty good Filipino spot in East Village with some cute aesthetics. The must get here is the vinegar fries for me, which were delicious and unique.

Nice little place in Woodside Queens. Got the pork sisig, Laing (taro leaves sautéed in coconut…read moremilk) and the Palabok Overload. Pork Sisig 5/5 - the sisig did not disappoint. Came out in a sizzling platter with an egg and diced peppers topped with a red Thai? chili. It gets crispy as it sits and combined with the garlic rice is chef's kiss. Taro Leaves Sautéed in Coconut Milk 3/5 - not my cup of tea, it's a little bit on the heavy side, has a strong coconut milk flavor. Wasn't exactly my cup of tea. Palabok Overload 3/5 - was excited for this since I really enjoy Jollibee's Palabok. However, this dish lacked flavor. The sauce was lacking in flavor, it was not as shrimpy or seasoned as Jollibees. Combined with the noodles, it tasted even blander. The lumpia, calamari were good tho. This was a small restaurant but service was good. Food came out fast and staff was friendly and attentive.

We are on our way to Newark Airport and decided to visit a Filipino restaurant. We saw in Yelp…read morethat this is a good place. Well, for $11.99 for a combo meal consisting of rice with two dishes and a drink, you can't ask for more better place. The folks that work here reminds me of grandma's cooking in the kitchen. The meals are incredibly delicious. The place is very plane fast food restaurant. It is a Turo-Turo style restaurant. All the main dishes are there to chose from. This place is not a fancy restaurant like Max, but you certainly won't spend $100 for dinner for two. I highly recommend this restaurant. Try next time you're in Jersey City, NJ

Classic dishes include pancit, adobo, sinigang, kare-kare, and lechon. They even include dipping sauces on the side. Dessert is included, however if you want to indulge in halo-halo that comes at a separate charge but worth it. Seating area is large and tables are plentiful. There is no table service, but it's not needed or missed at the self service Sunday buffet. The operators are busy hustling food and answering phones but chat with a smile when asked questions. Such good Filipino food, plentiful and at a great price should be bookmarked in your favorites.

Service is always quick and the line moves fast. The space has some tables and is very clean. I've tried the spam & cheese pan suisse, the kouign aman, the ube donut, the flan donut, the mango float donut, the calamansi basil donut, the macadamia sable. They're all good. I don't even know how to choose favorites but if I had to, the mango float donut from the summer menu is outrageously delicious. It's the perfect sweetness and amount of cream to mango chunks to mango puree to pastry. I also love love love the passionfruit matcha danish and the flan donut. Overall, I highly highly recommend Kora Bakery.

I'm glad to see they have a brick & mortar now and the space is well-designed and the kitchen area overlooking the pastry display, there's some seating which was nice to see (I was expecting none), and the staff was so friendly! It was a Thursday around 10am and thankfully there was no line and they were still fully stocked. We got a bunch of pastries that I came in wanting to try and others that just caught my eye. Everything was honestly fantastic. If you're not looking to spend ~$40 on pastries, then the standouts I would get were the Passionfruit Matcha Danish, Ube Donut, and Strawberry Calamansi Shortcake in that order. The Passionfruit Matcha Danish was a perfect pastry (and I don't ever say that). The passionfruit cream actually tasted like passionfruit, the fact that they use Kettl matcha shows they take quality seriously, and the white chocolate ganache mixed with the matcha powder made for such a creamy, delicious, and earthy bite. The fried brioche on the Strawberry Calamansi Shortcake was so pillowy and fresh and I loved the white chocolate chantilly. The Ube Donut was honestly quite dense but what I liked about it was that it was filled to the brim with ube pastry cream! And this cream tasted unlike any other ube cream I've had; it had some texture (not fully creamy), great ube flavor, and balanced sweetness. I found the ube glaze on the outside to be too sticky and slightly weird but the ube brioche & pastry cream helped me quickly look past that. Both drinks we got were also beautifully crafted, the flavors were spot on, and the layers were distinct. They looked better than they tasted but honestly, I'm comparing it to the incredible pastries so it's a high bar. I wish they had more savory (non-pork) pastry options. All in all, a great first visit here and I'd definitely come back!
