3 of us dined near the bar. Near the Bar mind you. We couldn't get waited on so I asked the bartender and he just pointed at who our server was and I had to go run her down. She said OH I didn't see you come in. Right. There were only 4 tables of people at the time. When we finally got to order it took an hour to get our very marginal high priced food. Once we got it she never came back. Again I chased her down and said we need drinks and one person has a question due to getting someone else's order. She said she'd be right there. 20 minutes later I went and chased her down again and said hey, you never came back. She said she'd be right there. 15 minutes later we just got up and left. Patrick's has the potential to be a great place, but the service is horrible. I don't think I've had worse service. It took at least 20 minutes to get something to drink, it took another 45 min or so to get our food and 15 to get refills and the girl didn't bother to tell us they ran out of tea. In addition, when asking for the ticket, she just assumed we didn't want our refills. I really hope they can get their act together especially since the prices are high for what you get. read more

Staff was great. They were running back and forth between the two bars for whatever bev we wanted to try to order. A+ We took a ride in to Longville to get some items from the store and while being inside and the AC was appreciated, it would be really nice if they had a waterside deck for boats to pull in for drinks/dinner/etc... (I'm guessing it might be a zoning thing.) It's too bad, because Woman Lake and her children lakes could use more waterfront gathering places. Have to come back and try to food sometime. I've always enjoyed my dinners at Patrick's. We get up north about 6-8 times a year. Last night, I ordered the BBQ rib dinner. They were amazing!! I ate way too much but I couldn't help myself. My wife and I have eaten at Patrick's several times over the years and the service has been great. Nathan the cook does an excellent job. With inflation the way it is I'm surprised the prices are higher. Other restaurants are fully taking advantage of the inflation hype. Also if you want to see a nice grocery store go to Tabaka's beautiful store for a small town in the woods. Prices are better than in Walker. read more

This place is a joke. Fine dining? Not even close. First of all after waiting a full 1 1/2 for our appetizer (chicken wings) they came out burnt to a crisp and were the tiniest wings I have ever seen for $15 no less. We were so hungry at that point we ate them anyway. What else could we do? Send them back and wait another 1 1/2 hours? We should have walked out then but there are really no other alternatives there which I suspect is the only reason they are still in business. After a while our entrees came out which were mediocre at best. When it came time to pay I asked the waitress to discuss the quality of the food and considering the horrible quality of the wings to take those off the bill. Well, she asked her manager Nathan and to my astonishment he refused to credit us. I asked to see him and she said he couldn't because he was cooking the food! Bottom line, Nathan is putting terrible food out of the kitchen and he doesn't even have the balls to come out and explain to his customers why they should pay for such bad food. I just hope the owners of this establishment read their reviews and make changes. We will never return again as I have read many others feel the same way. Apparently they could care less. Do yourself a favor and have a nice meal at home and don't waste your time or money here. read more

You don't come to longville for " fine" anything. Instead you get memories of better times. Times when life was slower, easier. If you are in a hurry, don't come to Longville, cause all the friendly people will hold you up asking "where ya from?" As for Patrick's, Spent many fun nights at those tables laughing with people who are no longer here. And I want people to realize the servicepeople are at their jobs, not on vacation. We've had some good steak, but if you're going to put "Fine Dining" in your name, I'm expecting something more than a step up from dive bar food. 2/14/2015. We stopped by Patrick's for lunch on our way through Longville. Our experience was excellent. Their Tempura Mushrooms were simply amazing. Our waitress Melissa was great. She did a phenomenal job and was friendly on top of it. Cant wait til we can make it up there again. Bloody Mary's were also very good. I have been visiting patricks for years now and have received good reasonable priced fresh hot food here always. I always sit at the bar or bar table and get super fast service. My drinks are good and am served within minutes. The bartenders always brings my food out as soon as it's up. The restaurant is huge with lots of Lakeview tables. They also do takeout now. read more

My wife and I took in the Mothers Day buffet at Patrick's this Sunday. We've done the Mother's Day buffet there in years past, though not for three or four years. It is a buffet, so our expectations are never that high, but this year's experience was a new low in buffet lore. With the tip for the friendly waitress, we spent $54; What a waste. I told my wife to remind me next year just how bad the food was. Twice baked potatoes were unrecognizable. Prime roast was seasoned with something completely horrible and sliced as thin as a cold cut - no kidding, thin as a cold cut. Leg of lamb was presented the same way. The salad portion of the buffet was good, so I left the prime beef on my plate and filled up on salad and dinner rolls. The strawberry short cake for dessert was a thin slice of pound cake drizzled over with frozen strawberry mush and a bit of melted down whipped cream. Yuk. One taste of that was more than enough. My best advice on the Mother's Day buffet at Patrick's. Skip it and have a bowl of oatmeal at home. read more

If you like to roll the dice or pick a curtain to be surprised about what you get, Patrick's is for you. The service and quality of food vary greatly. Having visited Patrick's for many years, I have seen a wide variation in experiences here. However, this variation has been trending more toward bad than good in recent years, and therefore I gave it one star. There seems to be no imagination at work or drive to make this place better. It was built at a time when family vacations up north revolved around taking the family out to a special meal or two. As business has changed over the years, the menu has declined and the expansive dining side of the establishment is now usually dark and unused in favor of the bar side. However, no investment has been made to capture a new clientele (tv coverage is awful, there is no music, and the decor is unchanged - ever. It feels tired and worn out). This restaurant is on the water and does offer a dock in the summer, but, between the goose poop mine field and wonky dock construction - the approach from the lake might as well have barbed wire to discourage anyone bold enough to try to patronize Patrick's from the water. No outdoor seating either, which completes the "shut out the lake" vibe. The Woman Lake Chain is loaded with pontoons and potential customers that could be arriving via the lake but the ever-changing business hours and previously mentioned dock issues basically guarantee the boaters will remain an untapped resource. At some point ownership of this place will change and when it does, there is a real chance it will become a regional "must" to match it's size and potential. Until then, enter with the knowledge you may or may not get decent service and food. read more

Went to breakfast at Patricks on a Sunday with my mom and grandpa. He is in senior housing in Hackensack and we typically do Vittles and Joes for Sunday breakfast, so we were switching it up going to Patricks. I have been coming to the Longville area since I was 5 years old, so obviously I knew of Patricks and had heard good things. It's a longville institution. Boy was I disappointed. First, this place is not ADA accessible. My grandfather uses a walker and it was hard for him to get down the stairs to the lower level with a view of the lake- what Patricks is known for. Secondly, the only seats available with a lake view were on the unheated patio. There were only two tables with a view of the lake inside the restaurant; they were taken and the rest of the tables with a view were in the "closed" section. I'm a former food service person so normally I'm totally cool with having closed sections, but it blocked off 9/10 of the tables with a view, and we came there specifically for that. My grandpa isn't able to get out of his apartment unless someone comes to visit, and we try to take him places that will bring back good memories of his long past there, like longville. Anyway, as we made our way back to a table that was not in the closed section (after realizing ourselves that we couldn't sit there) we were informed brusquely by the waitress that we needed to sit somewhere else. No problem. On our way. The food was not good. Breakfast is not hard. I can do better. I tried my moms pancakes and they tasted like chemicals. Good meat products, the only thing they couldn't screw up. Our breakfast entertainment was listening to the waitresses rudely tell every other customer that came in that they could not sit in the closed section, or talk loudly about how the folks sitting on the porch obviously wanted to freeze. Bottom line: if we could have sat at a table with a view, the bad food and snotty service wouldn't have been a big deal. Looking forward to the greasy eggs and slow service at Vittles and joe next time. read more

Although one of the nicest places to eat in or around Longville, this place is admittedly a mixed bag. Some days everything is excellent -- fast service, delicious food -- and some days things run a little slower and the meal, while still edible, isn't up to snuff. I've eaten here a handful of times and I've never been outright disappointed, but I recognize that my mileage has varied. I can at least say that the dinner-time salad bar has always, in my experience, been outstanding. In such a small town, the options are obviously limited, but Patrick's has a beautiful view of the lake, a relatively relaxed atmosphere, and the food will at worst satisfy those hunger pangs and at best leave your craving a second helping. read more

My family and I came here a long time ago and didn't come back due to long service times and average food. We decided to come back because we were starving and there isn't much else in Longville. We were once again disappointed due to waiting 45 minutes for 3 burgers and 1 sandwich. We ordered immediately but another table came in, ordered, ate and paid before we even got our food. We came in for a nice meal, and weren't disappointed with the food. It was quite good, I had a Black Bean Patty Burger, which was really good considering I'm vegetarian. It was the service we where disappointed with. When we arrived, my family had asked questions like: "What's your soup today?" We only got a meek response of: "I think... It's cheese and ham?" She also forgot to mention any of the specials. My dad sat with an empty drink for at least five minutes... Not to mention the waitress came by four times. We had gotten a Tempura Mushroom appetizer, but our waitress forgot to give us any plates. Maybe she thought we could just use napkins. I ended up having to grab plates from the salad bar so we could eat our appetizer before it got cold. Our meals took 35 minutes to get out of the kitchen. On Monday August 19th my wife and I stopped at Patrick's for drinks and an appetizer. First impression: the view of the lake was sweet. The ambiance was nice, a northern Minnesota feel. However, the flooring made the place look dated and long overdue for some re-mod. Where there was tile, every separate section didn't match and had a look of 1980's style. The main dining had carpet, which I view as a bacteria culture glued to the floor. Putting some nice rock or slate flooring would spruce the place up. The water glasses on the table had a nasty film on them that my wife was able to rub off with a finger. To me this looked like a buildup of spot free rinse. A customer, possibly the owner, seeing and hearing our comments informed us the glasses were 30 years old. My reply was that a little effort with a scrub pad would remove the grime from the glasses; or some Iron Out in the load of dishes, just wash twice. The bathroom... (censored). Again different tile, and the sink! Holy rust stained cracked mess Batman. There was also an open hole in the sink where a cover plate should've been used to cover where a soap pump had been. The bartender was good, I had a long island ice tea. It was served in a 20 oz glass, at a cost of $11. I'm glad I only ordered one. For an appetizer, we ordered the inferno wings. They were alright. Nice heat however they had no actual sauce on them. There was a seasoned breading that was deep fried to a hard crunchy coating. The service was fair, the waitress was nice but the attire she was dressed in did not say fine dinning. More like sports bar; black tee-shirt with the restaurant's logo and name and 'on beautiful girl lake' printed on it and blue jeans. Not sure if we'll return for a full meal there, the price for what you get says 'tourist trap' to me. The overall appearance of the place makes me think the owners aren't interested in keeping the place up and also raises questions about the quality of the food. I was very disappointed at Patricks! I have a place in Longville and had a couple friends up for the weekend. On Saturday morning we got there at 10:55 and got breakfast and all was good. We came back the same time on Sunday and the waitress said the cook will not take our order for breakfast so I had her go ask as I felt bad with 2 friends with me and she came back and said the cook will not take our order and we would have to order the buffet that was allot more than the breakfast items and when I looked at the breakfast buffet it looked like the stuff was just sitting there for a long time!
