    Melting pot wings
    Leanne D.

Came to Patrick's Pub and Grille for the first time and we were happily surprised. We sat out on the patio to enjoy the nice evening weather. Most of the table ordered their wings since they had a nice Sunday wing offer. Buy 8 for $12 and get the next 8 for half price, so that's $18 for 16 wings. We tried their melting pot wings with their special blended sauce and the house season dry rub. Both were very delicious!! Our server was friendly and fantastic!

    Guiness stew

$11 for "Guiness stew" that is %75 broth. More effort needs put into this for the cost. MAYBE....4 carrots in it....maybe 5 pieces of meat. I would be embarrassed to serve this. Our server was top notch though. So good, i didn't want to complain to her. Stick to sandwiches here.

They also have a big menu for drinks at a pretty reasonable price. I was surprised about how many people were there for an early dinner on a Thursday, must be a popular local spot! We had the smashed fingerling potatoes, it was pretty delicious and I liked the ranch that came with it. There was a lot of toppings on top too! For my main, I got the seafood risotto. It had shrimps and bay scallops. It had a generous amount of seafood in it. By then I was full but they had good sounding desert, including a GF Bundt cake! I wish I had saved some space for it. For my drinks, I had one of their speciality mules: Maggie's mule. It was kind of too sweet for me.

And served piping hot and stayed hot (how do they do that?). Drinks: good but nothing special. Great selection of local tap beers, local spirits left a lot to be desired. Two vodka options and neither are worth drinking. I didn't bother looking at whiskey as PA doesn't have any worth anything. Service: absolutely terrible. Sat for 15 minutes with no attention. Finally had to flag down the host and it still took another 5 minutes. Complete amateur servers. Never checked back after meals served and server spent all her time socializing with other employees at the entrance. No management on site it appears - it shows!

Saw huge sausages, just all around great looking food so ordered a burger and was not dissappointed. All prices were very fair considering an airport restaurant/bar. First off, it's conveniently located in the terminal, and we were able to get a table right away on a Sunday night. The place had a chill vibe with a mix of bar seating and tables, and it wasn't overcrowded, which made the experience even better. Our server was friendly and quick to get us settled. I ordered one of their house lagers, super smooth and just what I was hoping for. I'm definitely more of a lager guy, and this one hit the spot. To start, we shared the pretzel sticks appetizer, four perfectly soft pretzels served with a warm cheese dip and a nice, sharp mustard. Great portion for two and a perfect kickoff to the meal. For my main, I went with the Brewhouse Burger, cooked medium rare (I know, a bold move for airport food, but trust me it was cooked perfectly). Juicy, flavorful, and cooked just how I like it. They offer a bunch of add-ons too, so you can really make it your own. And the best part? It didn't come with the usual inflated airport price tag I think it was just under $20 for a quality burger, and the beers were around $7-$8, which felt totally reasonable for the setting. All around, it was a great experience solid food, great beer, fast and friendly service, and they didn't rush us at all. If you've got at least an hour before your flight and want a sit-down meal that doesn't feel like typical airport fare, I'd definitely recommend!

It may surprise some to know how many times I've hung out in Pittsburgh in the last 16 years or so,…read morebecause I've never been to a Primanti Bros. before. But then again, I am vegetarian, so I didn't think they offered anything for me. I've looked at the menu online more than once, and didn't see any sandwiches designated vegetarian each time. But I was meeting a friend before a concert on the RMU campus, and this was conveniently located 1 mile away, and it had food and beer. I kept an open mind and figured, I'll just modify one of their sandwiches. When I arrived, I learned they also have a pizza option. But I still thought... when in Rome... There was a black bean option listed on their wall menu, but the waitress double-checked for me and we learned together that they use to offer that option, but no longer do. Damn. There was however a cheese (no meat) option on the menu, which I was surprised wasn't on the online menu. But I'll take it! Their sandwiches are interesting in that instead of sides of french fries and cole slaw, the sides are just stacked into the sandwich to make it a quick easy convenient meal! The draft beer selection was good, the sandwich was decent enough, and the service was great (weekday evening). In the end, I am not sure I'd run back for my one sandwich menu option, maybe I'd try their pizza, or go for some sides, or just stop in for a beer on my way to my next show. I enjoyed the vibe and most everthing about the place, but the sandwich was just okay.

I just was not thrilled. You definitely have to expect a weird experience if you want to enjoy the food here. I also ordered a slice of cheese pizza just in case I didn't like the sandwich. The pizza was not good though. The customer service was pretty decent though. So pops for that.

I had to stop in and see for myself. What I found was a fun little spot with BIG vintage charm and a great small town vibe. Everyone was so friendly and the chef recommended the cheesesteak. *cue eyeroll* I used to work at a Philly style cheesesteak restaurant in Richmond,VA that made cheesesteaks that rivaled any I've ever had--even in Philadelphia. Since moving back, if I wanted a cheesesteak, I had to make it myself. So, I shared my cheesesteakismology with the chef, and was honest that I probably would judge it pretty hard. You just cannot get a Philly in the Pittsburgh area. Everyone here serves a ....steak hoagie. I don't want your steak-ums with your provolone cheese or lettuce or tomatoes and onion. I do want peppers, onions and American cheese all mixed up into gooey greasy mess and served on a fresh hoagie roll. Plot twist~He held his stance and was 100% confident that he, in fact, does make the best Philly in town and assured me that he actually uses American too--to which I smugly replied "but do you mix it in?"-- and much to my surprise he did. Still having doubts that I would recieve a cheesesteak that would meet my expectations, I figured the least I could atleast give it a shot, duh. So I placed my order and waited.... 1099 % surpassed my expectations!! This cheesesteak sent me into a dreamlike state. Nostalgia washed over me and the heavens opened up, sending me into cheesy steaky bliss! Amazingly delicious cheesesteak! Honestly, the best I've ever had in Pennsylvania, and I have tried a lot of em'. If you haven't been back since they reopened or maybe you've never been there before in your life, I want to tell you, don't walk--RUN--to Orbit Inn and treat yourself to a tasty, juicy treat! I'll definitely be frequenting this establishment and so happy I don't have to scrub cheese from my frying pan anymore for the sake of a great Philly! For that I will be forever grateful. Thank you for the superb dining experience!
