They took my ideas, helped me tackle any design problems, and brought it all to reality. You can tell they care about their craft by just looking at the way they laid the tiles. Nate worked for days making sure the tiles were not only the right size, but planning ahead for any transitions, and making sure marble vein lines followed through across several tiles. I can't even imagine the work that went into it. He also did a tricky envelope cut for the shower floor so that we could limit the use of grout. And he installed an infinity drain. The entire crew was amazing. When you have someone in your home that long it is so important to have people you trust and who make you feel comfortable.

We experienced a toilet gone bad. It flooded the upstairs water closet and caused leakage through…read morethe floor to the first floor. Tom came by and quoted the job. This was an insurance issue. Tom can talk fast and he moved his equipment into the house before we decided to choose him or get a second opinion. In the end we chose him and have no reason to doubt his expertise on the removal of damaged flooring, drying of the house, etc. His workers were professional, efficient and took measures to make sure the house was kept neat. The reconstruction part of the process is a separate element and Tom was estimating general turnaround times of about 4 weeks. This was for about 2 sheets of drywall, paint, several hundred sq ft of flooring and a new toilet. In addition we were informed that all of the furniture in the effected areas would have to be removed from the house and stored, while work is done. That's rediculous and smacks of shadiness. I am not a contractor but I've seen an entire house re-carpeted in two days without a single possession being removed from the building, I've seen drywall done in a day. Needless to say we did not consult with Tom on the reconstruction element of the job. The cost would would be astronomical, the inconvenience and disruption unacceptable. My parents told me and I always tell those who will listen; MONEY DOESN'T GROW ON TREES. In conclusion, my rating would have been much higher if not for the rediculous reconstruction estimate.

Bob remodeled our master bath and was very patient with our design changes, questions, and concerns. His wife, Jennifer, was also very patient and responded to our emails and texts quickly. Bob did all the tile work and plumbing, replacing our shower, installing the freestanding tub, installing all the fixtures for the shower, tub, sink faucets, toilet and light fixtures. While we selected and purchased everything separetly, Bob gave us direction and guidance with our selections which was very helpful. Both Bob and Jennifer helped us coordinate with Arizona Tile and Direct Shower Doors on our tile purchase and glass install. He finished the project within the estimated time frame he provided. He was always on time, cleaned up his work area everyday, and we never felt pressure to do more that what we asked him to do. His attention to detail was evident in his work. He always consulted us before any major design decision and made sure even the tiniest of details, such as how the tile fit next to our molding and closet door track, was completed professionally. The broken-down seals were causing significant heat loss/gain and allowing bugsinside. After comparing quotes from several local companies and Costco, we chose Ameristar. The deciding factor was their reasonably priced door with a built-in doggie door for our two 70 lb dogs go outside to fo their thing. Other companies either didn't offer this option or quoted more than double the price. Our sales representative, Larry, was exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly. Scheduling and installation were quick and efficient. The installation team did a beautiful job. Apologies for the dirty windows/dog door, we've had them up a few months. After 3 months, the doors are holding up great. We will definitely be using Ameristar again when it's time to replace our windows.

Several of the windows in my home face due south. Although they were double pane, they had almost…read morezero insulation remaining after 25 years of massive sun. The temperature in the south facing bedroom on a hot 90 degree plus day would always be nine degrees hotter than the rest of the house. I decided to replace not only the four windows in the south facing bedroom, but six other windows that can be viewed in the same field of vision from the street, to keep the aesthetics consistent. The replacement windows I selected are double pane argon gas filled to help keep the heat out during the summer season. I put out a bid on Yelp and narrowed the field down to two companies, Note I did not select the least expensive bid, but actually selected the most expensive bid. My reasoning was a solid five star Yelp rating, BBB A+++ rating and the knowledge and excellent follow up provided by the salesperson, David White. Other factors in my decision were silver coating on the glass to reduce the intense green hue that most argon gas filled windows exhibit and exterior window casings that are solid without decorative ribs that would collect dirt. I was provided with a detailed explanation of the process and same day estimate. The process from start to finish took five weeks. This would have been as little as two weeks if I did not have an arch top window. Curved windows take longer to build, at least for Ameristar. It took me a while to prepare the two rooms, so I was not in a big hurry. The installation was done yesterday. The crew was on time, polite, and from my view, was extremely careful and exhibited excellent attention to detail. The 10 windows were installed in one day. The crew cleaned up their mess very well and everything went according to plan. I am completely satisfied with the entire process. The windows are very elegant looking, not so green and make the house look better. I trust that the temperature in the south facing bedroom will level out with the rest of the house with the argon gas in the windows. Five stars all the way. Well done.
