Before I elaborate on how amazing Patsy's Pet Market it - I'd like to make it clear I NEVER leave reviews, regardless of how good or bad any experience was. This place is just that incredible. I got my Golden Retriever, Rosebud, groomed for the first time following an ACL tear a few months ago - they accommodated that situation perfectly. Cautious, yet very accommodating. When I picked up Rosebud, she looked so beautiful! Our groomer did a fantastic job, their timeliness was top-tier, yet very thorough. Katie and Skylar were incredibly welcoming on the floor as well - Katie even talked me into picking up a couple goodies for Rosebud from their fantastic selection. Our dogs are sensitive to some ingredients in grocery store pet foods and they were developing severe allergies from it. This is now my go-to spot to buy treats and food for my dog. The employees here are very friendly and helpful. I wasn't sure what diet to start my dog on and they gave me samples of a few brands and I was able to see what my dog preferred before I committed to a purchase. The treats here are the cutest and they have various sizes too. My favorite things to purchase here is the goat milk and the treats. My dog absolutely loves the milk and it's a good treat. If you are a pet owner, this is the place to visit. You walk in the door and you are immediately greeted by the nicest staff around. You get hellos and welcome. Your pet is treated like family and they give a ton of love and hugs. Amazing! So we took our puppy to have his nails done and they did a perfect job. Just perfect! They filed them down and made them short. A dogs nails grow fast, so if they aren't done short enough, they grow back too fast. The market also has every treat known to man kind. Love it! They also have decorated baked goods for your pets. They have special ones for their birthdays and other occasions. There are so many choices, it's wonderful. They also have a ton of choices of food. I went on a Saturday, there were three or four employees in the store. I was the only customer at the time. The employees are there to talk to each other about personal matters they are not there to help or sell anything to customers. I spoken to and teated very rudely. It took over 30 minutes to check out two small items in a store with three or four employees and not another customer. All the employees were rude. I don't get it. The products they sell are cheaper online and you get next-day delivery and no rudeness. I will not be going back there under any circimstances. read more

Originally, I thought this place was awesome, offered great services, and the staff is knowledgeable and "friendly." Unfortunately, I will not return to this establishment. I made an appointment for dog grooming services; however, I was not able to keep the appointment due to an unforeseen emergency. I was unable to call ahead of time and cancel the appointment due to the emergency (my error). One of the employees called to follow-up about the appointment. I proceeded to explain the circumstances behind the missed appointment, but the employee was extremely rude, unprofessional, and hung up the phone while I was still speaking!! Wow!!! I completely understand a company's policy and the stipulations behind rules of missed appointments. I also understand the value in other individual's times and the importance of being punctual/proactive. But the female employee (did not provide her name) was neither understanding nor empathic. I would have been MORE than willing to reschedule the appointment and pay any prior fee to retrieve grooming services, but the employee's attitude was disappointing and very unsettling. The customer is not always right, but there is no excuse to step out of character and be anything less of a professional. This employee is not a good representation of this company and I will not return. read more

Could not be happier with this place. As a first time dog owner and adopter, they were so helpful and patient with me and taught me lots of new tips and tricks for keeping my new babe happy and healthy. They're also surprisingly affordable compared to the bigger corporate chains when it comes to some of their products, especially considering that I know where everything comes from with Patsy's. As a vegan myself, it's nice to know that I can choose anything in the store and don't have to worry about any harmful extras that I wouldn't think to research for my dog. This is my second time to get my Goldendoodle groomed here. The first time she was happy to let the groomers take her into the room. This time she was terrified and I found it odd but sometimes she gets a little skittish so I didn't think anything of it but after reading some of the other reviews I now know this is the case for others as well. My dog had gotten groomed a month before I came this time. I specifically told the groomer that I did not want her shaved I would pay extra for them to derange some of her knots but I knew she didn't have many because I brush her. They said oh no we don't shave the dogs unless asked too. When I went to pick my dog up she was completely shaved and they said it was because she had really bad knots. Which I know she did not. I think she did it just for the convenience for herself. read more

The ONLY reason I'm giving this place one star is because they have a good selection of food and treats that are not junk. That being said, I will NEVER go back to this place or give them 1 penny of my money, not on food, not on services, not on supplies. I will also tell everyone I know NOT to go to this place. I am literally astounded at the experience I had last night. They have do-it-yourself stall to wash your dogs in. Great concept. Horrible execution. Even more horrible customer service. I guess my experience would have been much different if I had dogs that weighed under 20lbs, but that's not the case. I have two large labs. Anyone who knows dogs at all knows it takes more than 15min to wash/condition any lab. So for that reason, I had my husband call and ask about the hours/guidelines, etc. of using the wash rack prior to us even leaving the house to go there. They asked what kind of dogs we owned and my husband informed them of "two large labs". So they were aware of the size of the dogs we would be washing, even before we arrived. We got to the store at approx. 6pm and had to wait about 10min for someone to clean the wash stall. No problem, we did not mind. We get into the stall, they have towels, a place to put our rings, aprons, etc. All great stuff to do a good bath. However, the amount of water coming out of the shower was minimal with very high pressure, if you needed it. It was like washing my dog with my hose on the jet setting. So just with that problem, there is not a lot of water volume flowing through the shower which makes the hosing off process take longer with a dog that has a thick coat. The drain was also pretty much useless, all it did was catch the soap and fur and did not let water pass through, so that also added to our bath time. My dogs did not have some abnormal amount of hair coming off, they are groomed regularly. Not even 15 minutes of us being in there, a tall lady with an accent, named Jennifer, stuck her head in and asked if we were almost done with our male. We were in the process of washing off the soap. Another 5 minutes passes and she comes in again to tell us that they are closing soon. At this point we were washing the conditioner off. I told her we were just about done with him and that we had our female to do. She started bickering with me about the time and how they were closing. This was about 6:30. The sticker on the door out front says they close at 7pm. I told her we would work to get it done asap but we were there to give them both baths and that what we were going to do. She continued to be extremely rude. I told her the longer I talk to her the longer it's going to take me to wash my dog as we are wasting time talking. She said my dogs will no longer be allowed to use the self-wash stalls and only a groomer will be allowed to bathe them from now on. She left and we continued. I even sent my husband to ask them if we can use the other wash stall, which was empty, to help speed along the process. They replied with an outright no. So we just finished what we were doing. I offered to pay early and as we were walking out the door, Jennifer was literally right behind us, on our heels, to lock the door and shut off the lights. The experience left us feeling that we were one big inconvenience to them. Absolutely no value to paying this place money to use their wash stall when I can do it better at home without someone treating my husband and I like shit. If they did not want to worry about the time frame of us washing our two large dogs, they could have requested us to come another day. I would have totally understood. Instead they accepted us and then treated us with horrible customer service, pushing us out the door. They close at 7pm and we walked out the door at 7:05pm. Patsy and her husband are CROOKS!!! They ripped me off time and again grooming our 1 year old 7 pound poodle. They said it would be $60.00 for grooming but then charged me an additional $30.00 for tangles. My son and I set them up the night before a haircut making sure he did not have one hair tangle and sure enough I was charged an additional $15.00 or more. They are crooks. I told my mother that night and she said they are ripping you off and I should buy all food, treats, toys and other from WWW.CHEWY.COM The next day I received a postcard from CHEWY.COM . I buy everything from Chewy.com and now get my little poodle groomed next to Baskin Robbins on Highlands Knolls off off Mason. Anna is the owner. Loving, honest and great. I brought my dogs here on Mother's Day to use the self wash which is so convenient because you and your dogs are in your own little bathing area....very helpful for those with more than one dog! Super cute store with lots of options for treats. Today I bring the girls after a trip to the park where they went swimming in a "lake" and needed to bathe them. I drove 30 mins to get here to find out the self wash area is closed!!!! Grrrrrr.....I drove 30 mins!!!! I just wish they had sent out a text message stating the self wash area was closed until the 12th...I get a text for everything else regarding specials they are having. I know America is in a state of emergency &Coronavirus is absolutely horrible. I was one of the very first customers of Patsys and have always been loyal to her since she opened. I have not yet seen anyone in such a neurotic panic mode as she is in. ALL other retail are being extremely nice! My dog has extreme sensitivities & only one kind of treat won't make her sick. During this Coronavirus pandemic &yes, Harris county "stay home" effective tonight at midnight... I tried to get some treats (their phone wasn't working) &she yelled at me about being in state of emergency &how could I want treats when she had dogs to feed!!! Just because I asked if she knew when she would get some in. I started crying.Then I bought some stuff she recommended but NEVER touched the bag at all. While waiting in my car I found what I NEEDED on chewy.com and asked them to cancel and return the other. Remember- I NEVER touched that stuff- ONLY they did. It was still sitting on their curbside table. She told me no returns at all &when I said I never touched the stuff &(yes I yelled because she was extremely rude) she called me abusive and told me to leave! I understand people are scared, I get it. But she was down right mean. Her tone, her words just wrong &rude. Through these horrible times, people need to understand other people. I've noticed her attitude & rudeness before,but ignored it. Not one other person in retail has been ugly like Patsy. Not one! We love the staff at Patsy's!! They are extremely knowledgeable about their products and can give you advice and recommendations on any aspect of your dog's care. The "extra events" that they hold are incredible opportunities to socialize your dog and have a little fun while you're at it. She runs a monthly dog walking clinic where you can walk and socialize your pups. Friday nights are for Bark 'n Wine. These folks don't bath large dogs, called to get a quote for my cane corso who is 105lbs. 1st the lady gave me a quote of $85 and then she said well to be honest she won't fit in our bath tub. So ummm maybe she just don't want to bath my cane corse...either way I'm so glad she turned me away.
